The shows that film in NYC always have the most interesting guest stars, because they’re the ones who also love theater. The bears! The birds! I can’t with this show! I like this season more than the last couple of years. They’re dealing in a better brand of insanity. Last season was rough because it got cut short by Covid. I do agree though that this season is really fantastic so far. I thought I'd miss Deloy Lindo and Cush Jumbo, but they've done a nice job of making me not really miss either of them.
Agreed about the guest stars. This show is also superior in the way that they incorporate those stars into the show in a way that doesn't make it feel like "A Very Special Guest Star." It's seamless. The only exception for me was always Michael J Fox. I was never a fan of Louis Canning.
This is one of the few dramas that can literally make me laugh out loud. That doesn't happen very often, even with comedies. I guess I'm a tough audience in that way.
