Right? It's not like they have a ton of new stuff to show, why burn through what they have so fast? Then again, it's CBS...

Kind of interesting to see Phil trying to stir up a bit of trouble by telling Hung & Chee they missed out on $15,000 because the football players, who took the first taxi, beat them to the mat.

Is it two hours again next week..? Yes. I wonder why they are trying to burn through the episodes so quickly? If I were them, I'd savor it and make them last as long as possible. They only showed one episode on the Canadian channel, CTV, people aren't happy..

I recognized those little German cars right away from U2's album Achtung Baby. They were featured in the albun art and a couple of the music videos. They also had a couple of them hanging from the stage and spinning around during the ZooTV tour. Can I just say I'm so glad this show is on again? The cars are now hanging here in the Entrance to the Rock Hall! lol
After the last few episodes, I am as over James and Will. James more so than Will if I'm being honest, hes a massive turd. Not that I am a huge Alana and Leo fan, because I am not, but if you wanted to yield them, YOU do it. If not for all the help everyone is giving them I doubt they would be placing so high. If the blonde sisters are doing speed bumps and still hanging on with NO help I feel they may be the better team but have some crappy luck not to mention a better attitude. I really hope this alliance crashes and burns and the married couple wins it all at this point or even the brother and sister (he has grown on me and I still love her).

Just for me to be clear, I think Will is the tall model, and James is the short boyfriend. I am already a fan of James, and am growing more tolerant of Will. I was amazed by how quickly Chee was able to unscramble sauerkraut! She was terrified going down and yet managed to figure it out, all while being terified. She does seem to be a bit controlling, telling Hung when he could fuss and when he had to let it go. I'm enjoying the blondes and glad they had another nonelimination round. Felt sorry for them when they were all alone with no one to help them unscramble, but how smart to find someone who could! I was fine with Leo and Alana going. They took it well. I am still rooting for the footballers, but their alliance is getting a little annoyed with them. Although, they did warn Chee of the letters to unscramble. Selfish maybe, but it saved her from a second trip up and down. I didn't think they stole a taxi from them, was i mistaken? I thought they were across the street from them? Anyway, soccer brothers are my favorite, followed by Chee/Hung, then footballers. I enjoyed having 2 episodes back to back. I had nothing else to watch.

Agree with a lot of stuff said here already. Just gotta add that I absolutely cannot stand Will & James. They’re petty & catty. I hate that they have like 3 first place finishes. I think they’re not nice people. Especially the blonde one. I. Not ever sure which name goes to which guy. That’s how much I dislike them.

I think H&C figured they should have “dibs” on the first taxi because they completed the task first and then waited to give the football player the unscrambled word. The football players had a taxi drive up right away, near where they were, and so they took it. They had no way of knowing that no more available taxis were going to be driving by for a while. H&C saying that their taxi was stolen seems a little bit of an exaggeration.

It would be interesting to see how they all did without helping each other all the time. I'm kind of glad Phil told Hung and Chee how much helping cost them personally. I think that's what those first place finishes are supposed to encourage. Yes, the footballer told Hung about the letters which saved her maybe one trip. She only would have needed one more trip. Who knows how long it would have taken some of them to get it. They might have been in the same boat as the blondes making numerous trips.
Leo & Alanna sunk their own boat last week when they helped bro/sis team. The sisters might not have been quite so willing to use the yield on them if they hadn't obviously helped the other team but not them. As out turns out, the blondes even beat bro/sis team to the mat this week.
I don't think they'll win, but the blondes are my favorite team. They don't give up even when incredible odds are against them. I love how close they are, it's very sweet to see. Plus, how cute were they wearing those beards all day! I hope as the big alliance starts to break down that they'll be able to benefit from that.

I know others have mentioned the comment Phil made at the mat to Hung and Chee, but he DOES make a good point not just in this respect, but in the big picture of alliances. How many players (in other reality comp shows too) are hurting themselves while others benefit just off the hard work of their alliance members? It was your comment that made me think that in his own Phil way he was pushing them to take note and also helping the show overall. No one likes, well at least I know I don't, when one group of people runs the whole game. Maybe his gentle nudge will be a nudge in the right direction and the others will stop bolstering Will and James. It may be too late for the blondes but I hope that Chee and Hung do well and win this or even the Volleyball bros. I can respect her loyalty to the group in how she hung out to help them all, but yeesh woman it DID put you at a loss when it came to the first place that could have been yours.

I usually don't mind when 2 teams work together on a particular challenge, but this business of waiting around and just giving each other answers seems extreme this year. I hate this big alliance, and I don't understand why they are trying to help strong teams stay in the race. That's who I would think you'd be happy if they had a bad day and were eliminated.
I could understand why Hung waited to tell the football guy, since he gave her the hint to watch for letters. I really don't understand why she waited to give it to more teams. She just couldn't stop herself either because she then gave the footballers info again later on.

I think DH would be a little like her, I'd be the one that says, FHS shut up and stop helping other teams!!!

This is not the first time there's been a multiple team alliance, it happened before on season 10, between three teams (anyone remember brothers Erwin and Godwin just waiting around for the other teams in their alliance to finish challenges?), but this one's between even more teams. I get that helping each other out to a certain point is ideal, but it's still a race, so at some point you have got to ditch that. Due to what happened in this leg, hopefully those teams realize this and just quit the alliance, it's simply not beneficial in the long run.
And yeah, even though they're one of my favorite teams, I sure was annoyed at how Will & James milked the whole thing of getting the sisters to use the Yield and made a whole theater production out of it. Like, stop rubbing it in, boys, it's childish as hell. That being said, I don't blame them at all for their strategy. Telling the sisters that Leo & Alana were the only team who still had not arrived and getting the sisters to use the Yield, all while Will && James (and other teams) got to keep their own Yield for a future leg was a great strategic move, and honestly, I would've done the exact same thing.
And considering how rather disastrous the sisters have been during the race, I was surprised at their attention to detail in this leg. They got the details in the choreography quite quickly, they managed to finish the decorating recreation part ahead of Leo & Alana and even Eswar & Aparna despite their momentary blunder with the head, they just did really well. I also like how they just had fun about having those beards on through the whole leg.

Just finished the Berlin episode - glad to see the blondes still there but this should be the last non-elimination leg.
Thought Chee and Hung were dumb to hang around for Deanglo and the Beard Bro's and then couldn't get a taxi. There is a certain point you can't help your alliance, it only hurts you.

Kind of interesting to see Phil trying to stir up a bit of trouble by telling Hung & Chee they missed out on $15,000 because the football players, who took the first taxi, beat them to the mat. He really was trying to stir things up. But he mainly was chastising them for wasting time waiting for the other team to finish so they could give D'Angelo the clue, which was so stupid since the football players then ended up beating them. Edited to add: I don't think Will and James have a Yield left to use, do they? Didn't they use theirs at the very beginning to yield Leo and Alana? As for the alliance, it's not what I would do, but I think Will and James's logic in the beginning in forming it was that they didn't want weaker teams eliminating the strong ones and having a weak team win. So they formed an alliance of the stronger teams to try and get all the strong teams to the end, which totally doesn't make sense if you want to win. I do think that it's time for the alliance to break up and for everybody to just do their own thing and see who can win this thing, instead of helping someone else beat them.

Finished the Kazakhstan episode.
Chee you have got to stop helping people, especially the NFL TEam. Glad to see in the preview that the Beard Bros also are thinking that Deangelo is take, take, take.
Leo and Alana, sometimes smart people WAY OVER THINK questions or instructions, which is what hung them up on the "How many warriors used spears" question. However it speaks to how weak the Software Engineers and the Blondes are that even with a 20 minute Yield Leo and Alana caught up to them.
It is annoying that Will and James dislike of Leo and Alana is that they could as a team potentially break into the top 5. Really how many times has that happened. This season has been way lopsided in how well the teams do. Let's face it there is no way the Software Engineers can win unless everyone in front of them gets a bad case of food poisoning and are crawling and puking their way through the race. The Blondes are not much better. If I were Will and James I would be trying to get rid of the strong teams not the weak teams. At this point in the game it is pretty obvious that the Bread Bros are the best around team, as far as being physically capable, and using their brains, and knowing how to drive a stick shift.
Anyone else find the Software Engineers boring and non entities? They have no personalities at all.

Just for curiosity, what if the footballers did not tell Chee to watch for the letters before she went down? She probably would have had to go up a second time, because I doubt she would have noticed them. But, even if she did see them, unscramble them, there was nothing stopping the other footballer from hearing the word and shouting it. They all seemed to be together bunched each time someone came down to pass the word on. Also, the footballers stayed behind AFTER Chee and Hung left, to pass on the word to the next group (boyfriends?) then they moved on and grabbed a taxi. So, C/H had extra time to find a taxi. Maybe they just have bad taxi karma?

Looking at it the way you explained makes sense, but Hung and Chee just helped not one but two teams in their alliance, they must have figured since they finished first that it would have been nice if the NFL team reciprocated and let them have the first taxi, therefore hurt feelings. If there had been more then one taxi available at that time I don't think there would have been any hurt feelings. I can see why Chee and Hung are not happy with the football players.

I’m surprised most of the teams struggled with the word ‘sauerkraut.’ Yes, its origin is elsewhere. Still, when you think of Germany, you think of beer, sausage and sauerkraut.
I would have loved to walk down the side of that building. So much fun! And at night – even better!!!
The beards are still my favorite team. I’m trying to like the brother / sister team, but they’re pretty boring, imo.
The blonds wearing their beards for the remainder of the leg was hilarious to me. And it showed they’re good sports and not vain princesses. I like them a lot, but I’m afraid their luck will be running out soon if they’re faced with one more stick shift vehicle.
