Well I didn't think THAT would happen.
It'll be interesting to see how that plays out when the show returns. And am I the only one who's wondering if the truck driver's mom is real? I get such a Norman Bates vibe from him...

I truly appreciate the unexpected with this show. I just hope it doesn't get old.

Well that was certainly unexpected. I have to give this show credit for not being predictable. {Spoiler} And for not being afraid to kill off characters we thought were in it for the long haul. Looking forward to it returning in January & seeing where it goes now. One thing I know. {Spoiler} All characters are fair game. HI MissScarlet I will not read your SPOILERS but I will have to go to ON DEMAND to watch the LAST NIGHT's show as it cut off after 26 MINUTES...........I WAS SO MAD. So I will watch it tonight........I hope its good.

One thing about this show, they aren't afraid to take risks & do the unthinkable. Gonna be interesting to see where it goes when it comes back in January.

Is this show running on a limited budget? They got rid of their two most well known actors pretty fast there. I thought the first episode was pretty cheesy with the interaction and catfight going on between the private detectives. It reminded me of a lifetime movie. It improved since then.

I am completely enjoying the out-of-the-box storytelling on this show!

Coming back Tuesday January 26. I'm curious where it's going now. They've gotten rid of the only 2 actors that are well known. I think they were the draw to get people to watch the show. Then they got us to watch us & killed the guys off. Well, it worked with me. I'm hooked. The show itself is interesting, suspenseful, and so far not predictable.

HOW is Legarski still alive after taking a bullet to the forehead?? I wonder how much flack Cassie is going to take for shooting the creep...
Speaking of creeps, how is Ronald running around in broad daylight taking pictures of and stalking Jerrie? There should be wanted posters all over town with his face on them. Sheesh.

The story is departing completely from the books now. Legarski and Ronald could destroy each other!

This has been my favorite new show this season (along with His Honor on HBO). So glad to have it back!

I wouldn't be keeping vigil by his bedside, like his dolt of a wife. Ronalds mother has to be his imagination, I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't think I/ we are..

Never occurred to me Ronald's mom was an illusion. But you guys have thinking about that now!

And why is Legarski not handcuffed to the bed with a cop guarding him? The three girls know he was a part of their kidnapping, and Grace saw him kill the fisherman.

I guess if the show doesn't last I'll have to look up the books & read them. I may do this anyhow. Are they as interesting as the TV show? And worth reading?

Yes, the show is based on The Highway series by C.J. Box. There are four books, and Big Sky uses characters and settings from throughout the series. It’s a much harsher story than the TV show, especially the crimes *shudders* Also, the physical characteristics are different, and the storylines are a bit different. For instance, Jenny has a prominent role in the TV show, but not in the books. Basically, Big Sky drops into the middle of this world, and explores the characters in another way. The books are quick easy reads. I don’t think any were over 400 pages. I liked the first two books, but three and especially four were not very good IMO. Back of Beyond The Highway Badlands Paradise Valley

Looks like Waywayrd's idea that Ronald's mother is a figment of his imagination, like Norman Bates' mother is so far not true. However, it may be coming now that he's killed her. You may be right in advance. This show is getting creepier & creepier. And it looks like no cast member is safe. I hope this show sticks around. At this point it's my favorite show of the week.

I didn't think his mum was real either. The way he was laying on her, I thought she was going to turn into a skeleton. I know, my mind..

I'm still not convinced Ronald's mother was real. Or maybe she was and now he's going to keep the body around, Norman Bates style. And I have to wonder if Legarski is faking the amnesia...

I was waiting for him to sit her body up in a rocking chair like she was still alive. I have a feeling that's coming.

I totally think Legarski is faking it....and doing it very well too The preview for next week’s show makes me think that Cassie may have the same idea. I hope she figures it out and trips him up.

Ronald has officially lost his shit. At this rate he's going to run out of freezer space for bodies...
And I still think Legarski is faking.

This show certainly isn't wearing out it's welcome with me. CreeePeee. I agree with everyone that Legarski is faking it. Especially after the whole finger drumming thing. As for Ronald, I think he's done Norman Bates one better. Every week I can't wait for the next episode. This show knows how to do suspenseful endings, every week.
