I've read that Katie's season has finished filming. Nothing more seems to be out there yet.

I've read that Katie's season has finished filming. Nothing more seems to be out there yet. The story I read said that they finished filming a little bit early. (I don't think that's a spoiler, since it's in every headline out there, but feel free do delete this mods if I'm wrong.) It will be interesting to see what that's about.

What I read (newsfeed - no link) is that she knew what she wanted...kept those she did and dispatched in quick order those she didn't want.
I might actually watch this season. huh

Just like every season...... Because the Producers told him it would be. Then if he balked at the idea they'd threaten to take him off the cast. Same old same old.

He's probably connected with harvesters - those who collect skin from the newly deceased to use in grafts, etc. Maybe he hits up funeral homes. There was a company who contacted me when both my parents died.

There was a company who contacted me when both my parents died. I wondered about that. There are also synthetic skin that are used for skin grafting. We don't know yet which it is, but I have no doubt the show will want to make it a topic of discussion.

Katie's 29, right? There are far too many 25 and 26 year-olds, imo.

They don't care. The don't even try to cast people who are appropriate for the lead.
Did you all see the stories this week about how they cast Black men who only date White women when Rachel Lindsay was the lead?

I like that most of them are normal looking, yes there are hot ones but no real model types. Brandon looks a little skeevy to me, though. I might give this one a shot.

Wow! Quite a payout he received for keeping his mouth shut! I'm ambivalent about him but it will be very strange without him hosting all iterations of the franchise.

I do prefer a female host for the Bachelorette, but I wouldn't have cared if they brought him back for the Bachelor series.
He must have some juicy secrets to warrant that kind of payoff. Damn.

I think it's been time for Chris Harrison to go for a WHILE now. Over the last few years, I've gotten increasingly creeped out by the age difference between CH and the contestants. At one point, he felt like a friend or a big brother. Now he's old enough to be a father to these people - he'll turn 50 next month. It's especially creepy when he's addressing a room full of young girls on the Bach. It'd be nice if they found a younger guy to host the Bach and maybe kept with having women host the Bach'ette (not necessarily Tayshia and/or Kaitlyn, both of whom I do like). I wouldn't hate it if they hired Emmanuel Ocho to host the Bach. I like him and at 30, he's closer in age to the contestants. I'm sure that huge payout (which, sorry, no one deserves) extends his NDA in perpetuity. Maybe 30 years after he's died his children will be able to talk about his real feelings about the show.....but I doubt anyone will care by then

I sort of missed him last might, mostly because he wasn't on very much. I hope they can find a host, that can do his job. I wasn't impressed last night..

Wow, that is some payoff!! I'm sure he's not too sad about it at all. Does he still get to be involved with the show at all -- wasn't he a producer too? I used to be a bigger fan of CH since I watched him on that backyard makeover show he did way back when! But I agree with you, Critical that his age was making things a bit smarmy. I also didn't believe a word he said; he was so full of b.s. all the time. Especially since becoming a producer, so in the more recent years. I don't really care who "hosts" since there isn't much to it; the girls last night were cute and it was fun, but it barely made an impact on me in regards to how I liked watching the show. Someone would have to be extremely horrible in that role for me to say he/she ruined it for me and I'd quit watching. I've watched every season - good and bad, so as long as it's airing, I guess I'm in!!

There will be no guardrails without Chris. He's been keeping the crazy at bay to the best of his ability under the powers that be. It's what many of us expected and now we have proof with that payout. I really don't want to see more brawls or hear about suicides from people who were pushed to their limit. It would really be best if the network pulled the plug on this show now.

It would really be best if the network pulled the plug on this show now. You think he was keeping things mellow and in control? He was a part of it! Think of all the ridiculous fights, embarrassing challenges and stupid stunts, not to mention out of control alcohol consumption, contestants hooking up with producers and probably a lot more that we never heard about. He was right there the whole time and he didn't stop any of it. Frankly, even though he didn't get a producer credit on the flagship series, he's made statements that certainly make it sound like he did have input.
I think a new host(s) is a perfect opportunity to right the ship a bit and make some changes. First on the list should be the elimination of alcohol at those cocktail parties. Or maybe feed these people. We've all heard the stories of many hours long filming (sometimes all night) of those parties where the alcohol flows freely and there's no food. I think cutting the alcohol (or at least reducing it) would go a long way to reducing the number of fights and stupid behavior.

I didn't say that Critical. I said he was keeping the crazy at bay. I didn't say that things were mellow or in control. Over the years the richer Fleiss has gotten the more empowered he's gotten. Chris Harrison has been the only sane one in the entire situation. He's been a man wearing many hats. Not only did he have to tow the line to some degree to keep his role, he also had to handle each lead with a different approach. It could not have been easy, but he did it well. Dimes to donuts Chris has told Fleiss flat out NO many, many times because he was protective of the leads that way. He didn't get his jollies out of seeing them upset. That was obvious to me. Just look at all of the kind responses he's gotten from past members tonight. They really had a great relationship with him then and they still do now. They knew he cared. They also knew there were others there who didn't.

"Harrison will receive a rose of his own in the form of mid-range eight-figure payoff" meaning midway between 10 and 99 million so approximately 55 million that's my interpretation, anyway
