I was watching for awhile tonight, but then had to switch to my Milwaukee Bucks game. It looked like there were some interesting and odd performances: the 3 bears, the dancing guy whose wife "didn't show up," and plenty of instruments. I loved the young singer (Dylan), and the the woman singer in her 50s with the wild hair: both had amazing voices!

I watched the first few shows and decided to wait for the live shows or maybe not.
Lost interest I guess. All seems the same now.

Me too !! I really am not a fan of their audition shows so if I watch it, it will be when they start the actual shows.

I thought the winner should be noted, from this season. His tricks were really interesting!
Josh Blue and little Victory were great too.

Eek... sounds nasty: ------------------- ‘America’s Got Talent: Extreme’ Pauses Production After Horrifying On-Set AccidentBy Peter White October 15, 2021 10:59am A stuntman on America’s Got Talent: Extreme, the spinoff of the long-running NBC series, suffered a terrifying accident that has led to a pause in production. Jonathan Goodwin reportedly was crushed between two cars in a daredevil stunt that went wrong, causing an explosion on the set. TMZ reports that he was airlifted to a hospital and was in a trauma unit. An AGT spokeswoman told Deadline: “During a rehearsal last evening for America’s Got Talent: Extreme, an accident occurred in which escape artist Jonathan Goodwin was injured while performing his act. He was responsive and was immediately taken to the hospital, where he is continuing to receive medical care. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family as we await further updates on his condition.” Deadline understands that taping has paused today on the Fremantle-produced show, which is hosted by Terry Crews, who is host of the main AGT series, alongside judges including Nikki Bella, Travis Pastrana and Simon Cowell. The series, which showcases outrageous and jaw-dropping daredevil acts with extreme contestants competing each week in a series of wild stunts, is set for midseason on NBC. Notified by Deadline of the incident, Cal/OSHA, California’s Division Of Occupational Safety & Health, is looking into it.

The above article was updated tonight: -------------------- UPDATE: Production on America’s Got Talent: Extreme has been paused indefinitely after an accident on set involving stuntman Jonathan Goodwin. An AGT spokeswoman said, “Our thoughts and prayers remain with Jonathan Goodwin and his family as he continues to recover from his accident on Thursday. In order to focus on the wellbeing of our crew, we will be temporarily pausing production on America’s Got Talent: Extreme and will resume the last few days of filming at a later date. The health and safety of our cast and crew continue to be our priority.” -------------------- So this season may not air for quite some time, if at all...

I like the idea of all-stars. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I was disappointed that Terry Fator did not advance last night, though.
I don't like the idea of the judges having a golden buzzer for these, since only two advance to the finals. They should let the superfans choose both.

I don't think a golden buzzer is necessary for this. it's about the "all Stars" from every country of AGT and is up to the superfans. If you are voting the most successful, it is Terry Fator hands down. No one else even comes close. Using the golden buzzer is the judges telling the voters, here, this is who we want. Will be interested to see if their golden boy Kodi Lee gets the golden buzzer. I can see this thing rigged for him. I personally am not a fan, but there are plenty who are.

I like Kodi, but that's neither here nor there. I get what you are saying, though. The golden buzzer really doesn't belong in all stars.

I feel the same way am not a Kodi Lee fan. Honestly it always drives me nuts there are so many singers that are not only on the show but tend to get golden buzzers. There are plenty of singing talent shows for this I want unusual acts.

I watched the first two episodes of this. America's Got Talent is far from my favorite reality show so I'm probably not the best to judge but the people who got golden buzzers were ones I wouldn't have given it to and I was shocked by some of the contestants eliminated!
I still don't know how to choose favorites amongst such varied acts. I do tend to prefer singers because I don't like dangerous acts and magic gets old quick for me. I would not pay big money to go see someone perform magic tricks for an hour.
I agree about the golden buzzer, var1117. If this is the best of the best, the popular vote should decide on a winner. We don't need the judges for that. It's enough that they get to comment on the acts.

I was shocked that Terry Fator didn't advance, especially since he is so famous, so very successful and so unbelievably talented! However, I was really, really disappointed by what he chose to do for a performance on the show. To me, it didn't show much of his skills and was really lack-luster. I kept thinking, ohhh noooo, people are not going to be able to see how incredibly fabulous you are!

I really enjoyed the comic that Simon pushed his golden buzzer for (though I can't remember his name, unfortunately)! And I'm glad for the young man who went through, too. Some of those acts were SO weird, I couldn't believe they made it far enough to appear.
