Blind Ambitions - The Quick-fire Challenge takes inspiration from 'Top Chef' France’s infamous Black Box challenge. The chefs are surprised by the guest judges with care packages from their families, containing their ingredients for the elimination challenge.

It really was, and not in any fake way either. The "do you want to quit" clip we saw in the promos was real, but it ended up being something no one predicted. I'm glad they talked Jamie down from removing herself so that Maria might stay. (Tom didn't say it out loud, but the truth is that Jamie quitting might not have saved Maria either way, but I'm glad it didn't come to that having to be said.)
Gabe is on a winning streak, Shota is still working at his usual awesome level, and Dawn is still on her roller coaster but still alive. Can't wait for next week...

I will admit I do not think I cried as much at a Top Chef episode since they had a tribute to Fati after she passed.
I loved Maria, I loved her passion and dedication to making food that not only meant something to her but reflected her culture so proudly. I loved her attitude, she came off so gruff and DGAF at times but she was a big softy inside  I will say that this is one chef I would love to see back in an All Star season, should they do another one. I will miss Maria. Now I am torn with Team Gabe or Team Shota. |
