Now what Mike did and how Katie reacted is what sex positivity is about! Just like feminism isn't just about women working (or hating men), sex positivity is about (among other things) not having shame about sex, whatever you do or don't do. I was glad that he was able to have the confidence to put himself out there and happy that Katie received it. That date was pretty cringe though. I have a really low tolerance for bad singing or for people being embarrassed, so I generally mute those dates. I always find the men mud wrestling dates to be pretty homoerotic. I'm here for it! I like Greg a lot. I prefer that kind of date to the ones where they go to some exotic location or some really fancy place that most people would never get to experience. That date allowed them to open up and get closer and that's the whole point. To paraphrase Reality Steve on Twitter about Karl, if you weren't going to name names, then why did you bring it up in the first place? She needs to cut him loose. We don't know if Cody is a bad guy or not, but he sure didn't defend himself, did he?

This is the first episode I've seen, so I know nothing about these guys at all. I feel like I didn't miss much. Every time Karl opened up his mouth he sounded more & more like a jerk. I hope he goes home, but I have a feeling he won't. Even his snotty smirk is irritating.
If this is what sex positive is, I think they left out the positive & just went with the sex. That first date was cringeworthy. For a first date with these guys, that was beyond awkward. No excuse for that, but that's the way this show is. I liked the way Mike handled it though. The show clearly set this up to make him uncomfortable, but he controlled the situation. He didn't let the situation control him.
I didn't watch the 2nd date, the 1 on 1. By that point I'd lost interest so took a break for a half hour. 3rd date wasn't much better than the 1st. The producers of this show seem to have some kind of fetish about mud wrestling. Both men & women seem to have one of those every season. Stupid.
So far none of these guys stand out at all. I'm not sure how I feel about Katie either. The women hosts are way more irritating than they are entertaining. Chris Harrison didn't do much of any consequence, but for some reason he seemed to instill a bit of order & maybe even sensibility in the show. He was an authority figure. These girls just aren't. Not at all.
Jury's still out on whether I'm going to watch this season through. So far I'm just not interested, but I'll give it at least another week. I HATE these stupid To Be Continued endings. For cryin' out loud, give us the stupid Rose Ceremony. It doesn't leave us with suspense, just irritation.

It'll be interesting to see how long before this whole series of programs implodes. My bet is not long.

Maybe too, its cause he hosted this show for so long.

I actually know the answer to this. LOL Sharleen Joynt and her husband, Andy, have started doing a recap on YouTube, and in the episode 1 recap, they announced a "contest" where people guessed the number of times sex positive would be said in episode 2. The winner (announced in this week's recap) guessed 3. The contest this week is to guess how many times "wrong reasons" is said in episode three. (I'm not sure if "Not here for the right reasons" is included in the "wrong reasons" count."

It's a term I never needed to hear & hope to never hear again. I hope it doesn't become "a thing".

Ugh! I'm all for what it represents, but I don't think it's necessary for a person to use that term to talk about themselves. For starters, there are much less clinical ways of saying the same thing.
