Since Brad can't win a regular Challenge he is trying his luck on All Stars. He is such a self righteous ass.
Jonna and Darrell are back, wish them luck.

Well he did win Cutthroat, but that was like a decade ago lol With a team that consisted of Brad Fiorenza, Dunbar Merrill, Tori Fiorenza, Tyler Duckworth, so he did not do it alone. My main issue with Brad is his attitude, how he went off on Marie for supposedly stealing pizza. Is he the pizza police? Who is he to dictate who eats how much pizza. He also did his politics with bullying and intimidation which I hate.

Filming for this season has officially ended Do you know for how long they filmed? Filming started around July 20th and ended a couple days ago. Filming went on a little longer than originally planned as couple weeks ago production was temporarily shutdown after a production crew member broke covid protocols (not sure if he or she actually had covid, just that they broke protocols). The cast went into quarantine for about 9 days before production resumed again

The cast went into quarantine for about 9 days before production resumed again Wow even with the shutdown that was fast. So July 20 thru August 28 and if you subtract nine days they basically are filming it all in 4 weeks. That makes is so doable for the older cast to come back do a challenge and then return home.

I wonder why Tyler wasn't on any recent seasons of the challenge? He was a solid challenger and Bananas and him made a really good team. On a side note, Dunbar was a scrub and Marie's personality can be really irriting.

At the time Bananas and Cara Maria were the exception making doing challenges a career.

On a side note, Dunbar was a scrub and Marie's personality can be really irriting. He loved doing the Challenge so much, he had rejected a job offer when MTV approached him to do Free Agents. MTV called right before filming was to begin and said they no longer needed him. He was pissed so he "quit". Glad he is back for All Stars.

They are dropping trailers for All Stars II to start on November 11, 2021.
I don't care who wins at long as it is not Brad. Hope he does not even get to the final.
I do hope they give some money to the top three finishers for the men and the women it is so deserved.

Not sure if we need another thread for All Stars 3. They just started filming and I think the list of the male cast are great! The female list still needs some work but I am here for it either way.

Best to start a new thread. I was very surprised when they dropped the news that All Stars 3 was a go. I guess with a shorter filming period they can get more people to come but I really want to see folks who have been away from the Challenge for a while. Aneesa doesn't matter as she can't win a final even with massive help, and she is a bridge between the older cast and the newbies. But I really don't want to see Bananas on this as for him it is an easy paycheck. I want folks who never won or it has been years since they won on the cast.

Just finished watching the All Stars season 1 finale. I like the idea of more than 6 people in the final (3 men and 3 women), who only compete for 1st, 2nd, and third place. It is much more satisfying watching a group of 12 or so having to work with different partners each leg. The personalities that rub each other the wrong way is priceless, that is a shout out to Big Easy.
It is also hilarious watching Alton tip a canoe and Aneesa coming in dead last. This was Aneesa's chance to actually win a Challenge, she has had 15 plus years to get herself into absolute cardio endurance fitness. Watching Big Easy wait for Aneesa to catch up is still incredibly funny.
I absolutely hope the producers keep that final format for All Stars 2.

Best description was about Brad it made me laugh out loud. I cannot stand Brad and do not want him to win. I want him to get so close and then be totally humiliated and ground into the dirt.

Episode 1 - "One More Time" - November 11, 2021
The cast is brought in boats and the first half of the episode is a huge meet and greet and confessionals where the viewers are all introduced to all the players and find out what they have been doing since they last competed in The Challenge.
The next morning the players all go down to compete in the first daily challenge and TJ tells them the format of the game and how much money they will be competing for.
While the daily challenge looks easy; walk a balance beam, I was astounded at how the first team crossed the balance beam. I was laughing so hard I almost hurt myself.
TJ berates all the players for their performance. Tina responds to TJ's comment by saying "I want to see you do it before you start talking smack." and he calls her "Big Mouth".
The episode ends on a cliffhanger after the daily challenge and with the winning team told they need top pick two men and two women to go into elimination/The Arena against the last place team from the daily challenge. Out of those four, everyone else will vote to select the man and woman who will be sent into elimination.

Episode 2 - "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye" - November 18, 2021
I always get annoyed when people do not play the game. Ayanna is asked who she wants to go into elimination against. It is clearly stated that the winning couple, Derrick and Jodi will take that into consideration but you may not get your choice. Be strategic and tell them who you want.
Nominated: Leah, Casey, Derek Chavez, Steve
House Vote: Leah and Derek Chavez
Nehemiah, you told Derrick and Jodi who you wanted (Dereck C. or Ryan) and you were told you may not get either; and he blows up when he hears that Ryan is not one of the choices. Nehemiah is playing too hard and not smart at all this early in the game. Just from his attitude alone I would throw him into elimination every time. I also think Nehemiah is incredibly stupid if he thinks Derrick is this smart and strategic to pick Steve to mess with Nehemiah's game.
Best reason to pick someone for the house vote (Derrick picking Steve)? Mock their clothes. I liked Derrick's matching swimsuit and jacket, he wore it well.
I was crying at the end of the women's elimination. Leah simply could not open her carabiner and could not drag her coffin. Ayanna after celebrating her win with Nehemiah, came over and helped Leah drag the coffin to the finish line, I was blubbering by this point. It was such a moment. This is why I watch the Challenge.
Note: Derek Chavez's little sister killed herself before he left to film this season, his family insisted he go as his sister was his biggest supporter doing the Challenge.

Derek Chavez said on the MTV Aftermath that he threw the elimination.
Right before the elimination he had a phone call with his brother, and his mother was scheduled to fly into Arizona and they were going to have a funeral service for his sister.
I can appreciate that, but I would have preferred for Derek to win the elimination, humble Nehemiah, and the next day tell the producers he was leaving. The producers would have probably recalled Nehemiah, but he would have been a humbled with a blown ego.

Episode 3 - "Firestarter" - November 25, 2021
The show is continuing the same premise as from season 1 where the cast divides itself into teams, in this case the Black Team and the Green Team. All the ladies are wearing the teal leggings with slight lighter green swirls. I do like the team uniforms, using dark colors but not all black like on the regular season.
There needs to be a female team lead and a male team lead. If your team wins you get to pick the 4 candidates for elimination, if your team loses you automatically go into elimination. There will be another male and female elimination.
The Black team has Darrell, Tyler, Derrick, Brad, Laterrian, Nehemiah, Tina, Janelle, Melinda, Jasmine, and Katie.
The Green Team is Ryan, Cohutta, Steve, Teck, MJ, Ayanna, Sophia, Kendal, Jodi, Casey, and Jonna.
It's obvious the Black team has all the brawn (and male champs!)
Black Team Leaders - Tina and Darrell - Tina figures it is smarter to volunteer earlier in the game that later. Green Team Leaders - Ayanna and Ryan - Ayanna has a Life Shield so she will not go into elimination if Green loses. Smart.
Tina gives the Black Team a plan. Ayanna tells the Green Team to not bicker but no plan, players are confused.
Before deliberation Darrell promised his roommates; MJ, Cohutta, and Jonna none of them would be picked to go into elimination. Darrell wanted to pick Steve because he did not know him. Tina suggested that no one on the Black Team should be sent into elimination because everyone on the Black Team helped win the daily challenge. This means only folks on the Green Team are eligible for elimination: Ryan, Cohutta, Steve, Teck, MJ, Ayanna, Sophia, Kendal, Jodi, Casey, and Jonna. With Ayanna safe, Ryan and Sophia going in that leaves: Cohutta, Steve, Teck, MJ, Kendal, Jodi, Casey, and Jonna. Tina saved Steve for some reason. Tech, MJ, Jonna, and Jodi were initially picked. Nehemiah saved Tech with his Life Shield. Dude that was stupid, use it for yourself. That left Cohutta to be nominated for the men.
During the house vote Sophia (who was picked by Ayanna to go into elimination, saying it was a "gift") asks to go against Jodi. Ayanna and Sophia had a bit of a tiff over hair previously and Sophia feels that Ayanna is being personal choosing Sophia to go into elimination. Other players feel that power has gone into Ayanna's head. Ayanna also comments that the daily challenge was a good chance for her to observe who was contributing what as she does not want any weak players going with her to the final and she will cut them. Ayanna thinks she has a lot of power in the game. I personally would keep the weak players because I do want to run a final with folks I think I can beat.
Best Joke: Tina bought a pair of dissolvable swim trunks and gave them to Ryan and he went swimming.

Episode 4 - "New Divide" - December 2, 2021
The women's daily challenge is epic because Casey wins and she is famous for being not smart.
The men's daily challenge is epic as they have the entire challenge edited to the soundtrack of "It's Raining Men".
I must say I am disliking Nehemiah more and more, from his paranoia of Derrick and whatever perceived feud they have, to his absolute cockiness and entitlement.
During nominations Casey and Steve made some smart moves regarding the other alliance and neutralizing Jodi and Cohutta's Life Shields and targeting Derrick K by guaranteeing him going against Brad in the Arena. However, Steve was a total dumb dumb in how he protected Katie by making sure she would compete against Ayanna.

Episode 5 - "Old Tina Can't Come to the Phone" - December 9, 2021
Wow, really not liking Ayanna and her sense of entitlement and how dare Jodi and Brad put her in a position to sacrifice her Life Shield if she wants to save Tech.
Nehemiah the arrogance and cockiness is nasty and uncomfortable to watch. Add Laterian and Tech to the Three Kings alliance hoping it will crash and burn. These guys do not know how to handle power. I luve it when they say Steve is a part of their alliance but they are are solid three and Steve is not part of that. Then when Steve talks about going against Tech in the elimination all three men act as if he has viciously betrayed them. Can they not see the hypocrisy? Really Nehemiah, Laterian, and Tech can join Ayanna in the "My Ego is too big for my head and will explode" pit.
I am liking what I see individually of Melinda and Jasmine.
I enjoy Tina and am sorry she felt she had to leave, but it was nice to get an understanding of who she is really.

I like Derrick and Brad, so I wasn't feeling it that they had to go against one another that early.
I don't know why loud mouth Tina is coming back for season 3 when she wouldn't compete in the elimination and said that this isn't for her anymore.

Episode 6 - "A Whole New World" - December 16, 2021
Tyler's biggest mistake was not thinking strategically and potentially picking a partner or team to run with and when it came to the partner picking he waited too long. While Jasmine has a firecracker personality she is not the best at daily challenges or eliminations.
I really do not like Nehemiah's, Tech's, and Laterrian's overblown, overly aggressive confessionals. It makes me want to see them all eat dirt, and if they make it to the final, crawl through the mud in absolute agony and come in last or not at all.

Episode 7 - "Save the Palace" - December 23, 2021
Rats! The Kings Palace is getting on my last nerve. It is all the anger and rage Nehemiah, Laterrian, and Tech exhibit. They state they will eliminate the opposition yet are offended when they lose and are voted in. Nehemiah is outraged that Brad voted him into nomination. Who was Brad supposed to pick. Socially there are making targets of themselves.
At nomination Nehemiah makes a speech about how all of of them came from royalty and they must not forget that. Dude, that is so over the top to imply all of you descended from royalty.
I was really looking forward to Tech, Ayanna, Nehemiah, and Melinda battle it out in the arena. I hoped the elimination would happen and that the loosing teams female would become Cohutta's new partner. Very sadly that did not happen.
Next week looks like a mini final or the start of the real one.

Tyler should probably try to get in better shape before he comes back next time.
This past episode seemed so staged with the next morning hallmark channel conversation with Nehemiah and Brad, and Casey finding out her pregnancy right before the elimination.
That's messed up that Cohutta had to leave. Couldn't they have brought in one of the replacements to be his partner, or was it too late in the season?
