Well, I think after these last two episodes, we definitely have a front runner! Gary's been on fire! I loved his designs, but his collaboration with the model and photographer for the video was really special. I loved everything about it. I'd wear the heck out of the pants in his casual look.
I think (hope!) Gary wins the whole thing, but Andrea P might pull out a win. I think Andrea S will be in third place. I just don't think she's at the level of the other two and especially not on Gary's level.

I agree, this has been a 2-person competition for a while. Anyone else is hoping for a distant third.
Gary is more of a visionary than Andrea (who is also wildly creative), but her work is more marketable and she has a better head on her shoulders for running a brand. I feel like Gary could suddenly have a bad week and crumple. He almost had that happen this week, but it all came together for him in the end. He owes his model a piece of the Amazon sales...
Lucie should have been gone already, so no surprise there. But I felt bad for Raf -- if he had picked different colors for his looks, he might still be there.

They have been doing the same look and colors for the entire season, it's almost like watching Ground Hog Day, over and over and over again.

Wow, can't believe how quickly this season has gone and next week it will be over. Urrrrrgggggh!
Gary - his creative process is torturous. I really feel for him, I am sometimes afraid for him. I 'luv'ed how he was able to get his initial concept together and work with both the models, and the videographer. I liked the stop motion effect when Gary was decorating the clothes. I also am glad he is able to edit himself and he is doing well in how he explains what his collection is about to the judges and that he can answer their questions coherently.
Andrea P - the women has vision, passion, speed sewing, and focus, what is not to love. I am glad that there were two winners this episode.
I think both Gary and Andrea P had strong collections and strong videos.
Andrea S - luv'ed her outfits, I didn't mind the marina location, she showed the judges why she should have been saved. I also see her sewing a lot so I don't think her non sewing skills were why Olivia was sent home last week.
Raf - I thought he got the feeling he wanted from the video, I guess his clothes were boring.
Lucie - It was obvious that Lucie's video was the worst of the bunch, but the judges liked her clothes there was an opportunity here. I think Lucie was lost and tired and I don't know if it is that language barrier but when Heidi gave her a chance to fight for herself I don't think Lucie realized that it was a chance to fight for herself.
I really appreciate that the judges are not afraid to do double eliminations, Project Runway could be so frustrating that they would have competitors who hung on for weeks and you wondered why are they still on the show. For creatives who think outside the box, they can be incredibly dense/stubborn in taking any advice from Tim or the judges.

Lucie really wasn't made for this show. She has major time management issues. I thought it was really cool how her competitors basically forced her to get her bag for the seamstress put together in time. There's no way she would have made it without their help. I loved Andrea P's line about "I'm going to have to ask you to stop doing this. It's really stressing me out!" LOL
P.S. By cool, I mean that with this being a competition, it was in their self-interest to let her lose, but everyone seems to genuinely want the others to do their best and to have the win be because their designs were the best and not because someone's clothes didn't get made.

In season 1, they eliminated the young one because they saw tshirts and tshirts don't make much of an effort for a fashion show. I think Andrea "s" would get old very fast with her animal prints. That is good for Miami though.
Maybe they could skip an elimination on show 7, and show 3 shows. It seems like they have been a little heavy handed with the eliminations. Raf going was a surprise.

His clothes were boring and boring is the kiss of death on this show. I was not surprised the there was a double elimination. This show is Heidi and Tim's baby and they want someone who can do an international brand and Raf was not there.

I thought it was cool that when they showed the video campaign examples, they showed not only the winner from last season but also the runner up. Esther's video was really cool! Very on-brand for her.

For wow factor, I think bridal designer Andrea P would be most successful and generate the most kudos for the show the way Christian Siriano is a credit to Project Runway. Gary is a great artist and makes beautiful clothes, but I do not feel a strong desire to wear what he is showing. Maybe his recent bad experiences have hurt his confidence, but he needs better confidence. Andrea P's confidence is good.

I thought it was cool that when they showed the video campaign examples, they showed not only the winner from last season but also the runner up. Esther's video was really cool! Very on-brand for her. I agree, that was really fun, and I had to go back and rewatch in slow motion to see them better. Very cool! I wasn't a fan of Andrea's animal print looks, and was surprised the judges liked them. Well, they weren't boring, I guess! LOL Raf's coat was cool, the dress was fine, and the pants he made looked nice. I wish they wouldn't make plain shirts (his pocket wasn't much of an interest, nor the extra buttons)! But the sparkly fabric of the coat was really nice, and wasn't boring just because they couldn't see it at the drive-in. He's good, but compared to the two winners, I agree that he wasn't going to win in the end. I've been so impressed by Gary. There are a lot of things he's made that I would wear! His first dress was actually in my cart, but I waited too long and by the time I was ready, it was sold out. The last little dress he made with the jean jacket was cute, and I'd wear that (without the jacket)! This week's painted look skirt is very pretty, and I'd wear it if I were thinner (a voluminous white skirt on me would be atrocious!!). They also changed it up just a bit when mass-producing it, and I liked Gary's version better. The poetry was wonderful, having her narrate the video was a great idea and really made it stand out. Andrea's coats were nice, and her video had a cute idea. I'd much rather have the shorter coat than the longer one, though. That was really pretty! The side detail was really interesting, it was wide at the hips because of the design, not sure how that would look on everyone but it was pretty. I wish they'd have done the switch thing with her looks too. Down to the final 3!! Think this is Gary's to lose??

Gary's gave me emotion. Reminds me of a Mary McFadden jacket that I have. Just an artist's imprint is so special. He could have used his own voice and didn't, I love his humility.
