Rosie was on the talk Friday, she wasn't bad. I thought she could of put more effort into the way she looked, her hair and clothes weren't that great. The other women looked good.

I don't catch it regularly but I will watch it occasionally and appreciate it for what it is. I never watch The View, partially because I'm not interested in hearing the political stuff. I do not think it's a good idea to bring Rosie on. I hope they find someone else. I like to watch now and then as well, its a nice easy show. Rosie would change that, that's what worries me.. It's won emmys, so it must have viewers.. I was hoping Carrie Ann Inaba would get the job..and maybe take her off DWTS! LOL I love Carrie Ann! She even got Julie's "stamp of approval" during her departure reel. I like Carnie Wilson quite a bit too. She'd be my second choice!

Rosie was on THE TALK???? Oh my, I can't imagine why they would have her on except for a trial run......She has nothing happening that she would be on to promote....except herself. What is wrong with those PTB to even consider her!! As said above, even her appearance is a sign that she would not fit it there.

I recorded this morning's show with guest Ricki Lake (10/18) and just watched it. Much to my surprise at the half-way mark, right after the opening discussion segment, 10 minutes of The Talk were not shown here. Instead, inserted into The Talk was a segment of a CBS show entitled "Face the Truth" (never heard of it) along with quite a few commercials. When The Talk returned, Jenna Fisher was introduced which continued to the end of the program.
Are there any East Coast watchers here who saw today's show? Josh McBride was listed as a guest on today's show but we never saw him here in the West. Was he on, was his segment controversial or repulsive that CBS would have pulled it? This was just so strange. Perhaps it was nothing more than a technical error, but it seemed so deliberate time-wise, eliminating an entire segment and/or guest.

So is anyone else shocked that The Talk had chosen Carrie Ann Inaba to replace Julie Chen? It sounds like they wanted to be sure to pick another Asian woman, which is cool, but there has to be someone who isn't such a goofball (or who is a cool goofball like Awkwafina). people.com/tv/carrie-ann-inaba-replaces-julie-chen-the-talk/amp/

BUT, do we know who is going to be the panelist who will be literally replacing Julie as the permanent 'head' co-host, who reads the info and questions on the prompter? I'm asking because I tuned in the other day to see Sarah in 'Julie's seat' doing that job and she was TERRIBLE. Worse than terrible, she was CRINGEWORTHY!!! I couldn't even watch the episode --- I love Sarah as a person, and I think she's fabulous in her acting role on The Conners --- but she was soooo uncomfortable as the 'host' of The View. That job has to be done by someone who's super comfortable with chit-chatting, and with the prompter. Unfortunately Sarah doesn't do that very well, and to me, sadly, it was really off-putting.

Glad that the speculation about Rosie being on the show was empty air----as I suspected.

I noticed lately that for awhile The Talk was rotating moderators but now seem to have settled on Sara. I actually enjoy her as moderator. While topics are chosen ahead of time, much of what the panelists have to say is all ad lib, and I find Sara does a nice job of reacting to whatever is being said by others and keeps the conversation flowing. As much as I like Sharon, when she acted as moderator introducing segments reading the teleprompter, her verbal presentation was so over-the-top, not at all speaking in a normal manner. Sara certainly has a lot on her plate these days being on the production staff of The Talk and on the The Conners.

I'm not surprised. There have been rumors for years about Sharon being a nasty bully on that set. Apparently, she's been the cause of more than one (or two or three) people leaving the show. Sounds like she's finally experiencing some consequences. I might actually start watching the show again.

As much as I've generally enjoyed Sharon Osbourne on The Talk all these years, there have been many times when I felt she made very ignorant or actually stupid comments about people or current events. She often exhibited a superior attitude while speaking. I don't think she will be missed on the show at all.
There have been a number of possible replacements mentioned online to take Sharon's place, none of whom I'm in favor of. I just hope whoever they choose fits in nicely with Carrie Ann and Sheryl plus the two fairly new co-hosts. With Carrie Ann's active work schedule and her health issues, I fear she may leave the show which would leave only Sheryl as the experienced co-host.
