8/16 - BIP7 Premiere Show Discussion

There were a record number of make out sessions on the 1st night, according to Wells filling Spade in. Seemed like it to me too! Some of the pairs seemed pretty good together, but I feel bad for some of the girls who were left out. I don't feel bad for the Goddess (who's being weird), nor Kelsey (champagne girl).

Oh no, Demi is here. She's funny sometimes, but I don't think she needs to come onto this season and make drama! Cheesy and dumb.

Too true. I forgot just how young Serena is. She comes across as so much more mature than many of the others. Twelve year age gap is big at that age. I hope she doesn't break his heart like Kendall did. I see in the preview that he tells her she is only the 2nd woman he told he was in love! I think he is the type that falls hard and deep. A keeper.

I'm just getting ready to watch on Hulu. I'll be interested to see how I feel about David Spade. I suspect I won't be a fan, but a lot of people are saying he was wonderful.

I used to liked him, but now he feels skeevy! If people thought it was creepy for someone as old as Chris Harrison to be talking to these young people about their sex/love lives, I'm not sure how David Spade's an improvement. Isn't he about the same age and a lot more creepy?

People who like his humor thought his banter with the guest was clever. I don't hate him, but I'm finding it rather snoozy. For the record, he's seven years older that Chris Harrison. 🙄🙄🙄

EDITED TO ADD: I've finished watching, and I thought some of his commentary was funny, but I stand by what I said about his banter with people as they were arriving.

Yeah. I saw a quick bit of video where the black box wasn't entirely covering whatever it was he was wearing.

I wasn't overly impressed with the whole 2 hour Premier. The cast was all a bunch of OK people who I really just don't care about. Hopefully that will change in the next couple of weeks. Maybe after they start sending people home. 
I was disappointed there was no Rose Ceremony this week. It made me wonder if there was one on the first episode during past seasons. I just don't remember.

I liked David Spade. I've never been much of a fan, but his personality & humor just seemed to mesh well with this show.
It's the kind of show we don't take seriously & having a host who is laughing at it too, like us, was fun.
Hopefully the other hosts will do as well.
Didn't miss Chris Harrison a bit.

I like Grocery Joe, but they spent way too much time on him. I'd rather see a bit more of the others & maybe start giving a darn about them.
Abigail & Noah were a cute couple, which most likely means they won't last 'till the end.
The drama was at bare minimum. Now, all in all, I'm not a big fan of the phony drama in this show, but we need something to liven it up this year.
As for the black-box-naked-guy, that got old within seconds of him getting there. He should have left the lacy wrap on that the females gave him. They even wrapped it for him. But no, next scene he was back with his black box.
I'm not sure what was really behind that black box, but it's high time someone says: "Oh, for God's sake, put some proper clothes on". I hope he does next episode. That joke's over.
As for Demi, Oh, go away.
