I do hope she drops the cutesey ootsey wootsey thing with the bows and glitter. She's 18 now. What is cute at 12 or 13 doesn't work an 18. I never think it's cute, but it's REALLY not cute when you've aged out of a look. She's darling, but she needs to let go of that schtick. I hope they style her differently as the season continues, but I have this terrible image in my head of her in a lovely gown, doing the Foxtrot, with a giant bow in her offset ponytail.

Fortunately, she's not wearing bows (though she did have one tacked to the shoulder of her first costume. :eyeroll). I'm enjoying watcher her and Jenna dance together. It's fun to see how they switch back and forth between her taking the "male" lead role and doing more traditionally female moves.

It's fun to see how they switch back and forth between her taking the "male" lead role and doing more traditionally female moves. Agreed. I think they're doing a great job and she toned it down a bit this week. Her energy was too much last week - I totally agreed with Len.
I read a recap/article about the first episode and the writer took issue with Jojo asking who the guy was in the dance (because it's two women and there isn't a guy). Some people need to lighten up. She was clearly asking which of them was leading when they were in hold. Obviously, because Jojo is taller, she'd likely take the lead in arm position because it's more comfortable. Jenna's pretty strong, so I'll be curious if she attempts some real lifts too.
It annoys me that, on FB, some users react to every article about J&J with an angry emoji. As one of the pros pointed out in an interview earlier in the season, same sex partnerships have been around a long time in pro ballroom and Latin dance. Folks need to get with it!

Agree Critical. People are enjoying their outrage to a ridiculous degree.

I don't see what the big deal is. When I was in High School girls danced with girls at the school dances & other teen dances in town. We wanted to dance. We loved dancing. But waiting & hoping for a guy to ask us to dance was often a losing situation. So we danced with our friends. If a guy came along & asked us to dance, we were more than willing, but we weren't going to sit or stand there bored, lonely & pathetic waiting for them. We took matters into our own hands. We danced without them. I guess we were modern independent women before our time. I'm enjoying JoJo & Jenna's dancing. They're doing fantastic. They're one of my favorite couples.

I really enjoy these two. I said the same thing to my sister in law, we girls danced together all the time, until the boys got up enough nerve..lol. It isn't a big deal, not for me..
