Christina Applegate announced that she has multiple sclerosis....She is 49 and I was always pleased that she had a legitimate career, outgrowing the Kelly Bundy character. Sorry to hear that she is battling such a debilitating disease.

Judge Penny has denied Britney's lawyer's request to move up the hearing for Daddy Spears expulsion from the gravy train. The court date is still set for September 29th. I'm not worried about this as it gives both sides time to prepare and when Jaime gets ousted he can't claim he did not have enough, plus courts are backed up as it is because of Covid so it's possible the judge did not have time on her docket for a earlier hearing. Meanwhile, the forensics CPA is still digging but more things will be uncovered at the September hearing.

He's still a shady piece of **** though. Here is part of the statement TMZ got their hands on: So, it's considered "unjust attacks" on him but he was totally fine with sending the courts paperwork stating that she needed to be 5150ed again. Also, forensics CPA are digging up...interesting things. I think he wants to step down now because he thinks it's going to save his ass later. Needless to say, Britney's new team had a reply for him:
edit: Here are the thoughts of a lawyer who has been following this case and read the actual court docs:
"Jamie Spears will resign but he wants a transition period to work with the court and Britney’s attorney." Translation: Jamie is saying he will resign but wants to negotiate first. Probably wants assurances that criminal charges won’t be pursued.
Mmmmhmmm....

It's a MAJOR step in the right direction though. I have to think positive thoughts for her because it's just been bad news after bad news for YEARS. THIS is GREAT news!!! SO happy for Britney!!!

"There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the EstateUm, yes there are. Brittany may need a conservator but she is not so far gone that she shouldn't have a say. She earned her money and she should have some say. I think the fact she is so positive there is shady doings happening is grounds for at least suspension upon investigation. Everything needs to be transparent. Just stop trying to make yourself look good, it's not working. What a dumbass. I'm glad she is getting a different conservator.

She has a Forensics CPA already Cuddles. So far, they found out that Jaime Sr bought Jaime Lynn a vacation home in Florida with Britney's money but not her knowledge or permission. So much for this windbag trying not to salvage his reputation. Everything in his statement smacks of "There is no reason why I should step down" and that people are making things up about him. He also used some of that court document to go on record bashing his ex-wife Lynn (who except for supporting her daughter has been silent) saying that she and Britney have "never been close" and a host of other crap that really had no reason to be brought up. This disgusting man was in and out of Britney's life from the time she was a child and separated from Lynn. He only got back together with Lynn after Britney hit it big with her first album. As far as I'm concerned the fact that she and her children have a restraining order against him for hitting the eldest boy should be grounds enough for him to step down.

Apparently, Lea Michele is hopping mad that they're doing a revival of Funny Girl and DIDN'T cast her in the lead, which she seems to think she's entitled to. Instead, the role went to Beanie Feldstein. I don't know if she can sing, but I've heard she's a sweetheart. Being nice does pay off.....and being nasty pays in other ways. Good old karma, she's a bitch!

WOW......that would bite her rear end since, even in GLEE, she saw herself as Barbra JR.

Good old karma, she's a bitch! What gets me curious is that Ryan Murphy is known for reusing talent in his productions. So far, he's reused Angela Basset, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, and assorted males like Matt Bohner and Cheyenne Jackson in all of his productions. He's also been reusing the cast from Pose as well, which is nice. However, the only thing he's done with Lea other than Glee has been Scream Teens and considering how he reuses people...says a whole lot. Beanie is an absolute sweetheart with a beautiful voice so I'm happy for her. Sometimes, being a bitch can get you quietly blackballed; heard the same thing happened to Alex Prettyfer and that's why you don't see him anywhere now.

Good old karma, she's a bitch! Wow, I had not seen that anywhere, I saw that she championed Beanie for the role, and was very happy for her when it was announced. Apparently Lea turned down the chance to do it years ago when a revival was first talked about because she felt at the time (so soon after Glee) it was just too soon for her since she had done so much on the show centered around it. All that I have seen that would be considered negative about it was 'fan' reaction to what they thought Lea was doing/feeling. And yes Beanie can sing, she is really, really good in fact I just love how someone who is so young is so infatuated with a musical like Funny Girl, its like what twice as old as she is and she has been a fan since she was barely out of diapers! I think this is amazing, I love the older musicals, don't get me wrong I have nothing against the newer ones too but there is something about ones like Funny Girl, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, South Pacific, and the like.. they get me every time

This was a good week for women. The judge in Kelly's Clarkson's divorce case obviously saw straight through her ex because she said that she was going to enforce the pre-nup. She felt like "he knew what he was doing when he deliberately quit his job to explore being a rancher" (trying to retire on Kelly's money like the skeeze he is). She also ruled that the ranch was Kelly's property even though they got it in the marriage and he has to pay 81k a month for the upkeep, otherwise she can sell it. While he will be getting the 50k/month for the children the 151k/month he's currently getting for alimony will be adjusted downward. I'm so glad this guy isn't getting nearly as much as he thought he was; his deadbeat daddy did the same thing to Reba and the apple doesn't fall that far from the tree. This creep actually thought he was going to get her ranch in the settlement, retire, become a rancher, and have her basically bankroll his new life. I don't care if she does make like 2 million a month; it's her money and if the things people say about his constant cheating is true he deserves none of it.

OMG how did this ever get by the vetting process for JEOPARDY?? Mike Richards is out as host after filming his first (and only) show. They seemed to have taken so much time and care in the search.....but apparently did not go way back in his history----maybe because they had already given him the producer's job so they figured all was well.

Suddenly everyone was raving about how great he was - and that's gotta feel great! So he probably figured that is what it would be like to be the host. Then, the info about his past started coming out, and he started to feel the downsides of fame. I wonder if not liking that experience played into the decision.

There are also reports that came out saying that when he was a producer on The Price is Right there were complaints against him from female employees for sexual harassment

A crazy story that leaves a LOT out is currently being broken on TMZ right now regarding Britney, stolen sick dogs, a housekeeper getting a phone slapped out of her hand, and a bunch of "Rarh! It's Britney being ~crazy and ~deranged~" nonsense. I pretend I do not see it because TMZ is Jaime's mouthpiece and the whole story is sad and shows what little control she has over her life because apparently she is not allowed to take her own pets to the vet, or even talk to the vet about their care.

For me, she continues to be a strength of source. Not to say I'm broken. But, when you have a mentral illness you are a target, an easy one because the public, the police, the courts dnt believe you, whether it's this, a divorce or being a victim of sexual assault, The person or people who are the defendents are 'more believable' because they 'aren't crazy, like the defendent.' And anything you say and do in everyday life you have to always make sure yoyr response is measured-because if youy lose youyr temper, laugh to much, express a need for autonomy; y7ou are 'crazy in each instance.' But, Brit keeps getting back up. Like a boxer who won't stay doewn despite being outweighed and outmatched. And she has now achieved some accomplishments that noone else was able to or willing to do all these years. And that she made sure it was all public so others could benefit shows a selflessness and a wiillingness to be further put through the wringer by some of the public-that is hard on ones psyche , but she did that for everyone in her situation. Of which there are many. Particularly in the mental health and disability communities. People who can take care of themselves-but they are trapped in the ableist world that also infects judges. Hanks again Kao for your updates and commentary. Yep. People have this maddening need to either infantilize people with mental illness or (in case of the more intense illnesses like Bipolar, Borderline, or anything Schizo adjacent) think they're going to "be violent." Even something as simple as going to the doctor can be a bad time because some doctors will assume that anything you say about your own care is affected by your illness and that's not the case a lot of the time. Quite frankly, a lot of regular doctors don't know how to treat people living with a mental disorder decently and it shows. If regular people who live with mental illness that is well-regulated go through this sort of treatment it's even worse for people under conservatorship because unlike the former group their autonomy is often affected.

It's amazing how quickly things become transparent once you have a legitimate lawyer. Britney's dad is still trying to get even more money out of his daughter's estate by telling them he'll step down if his legal bills, management money (which goes to him) as well as unspecified payments to him be made. Britney's lawyer not only turned him down but rightfully called it extortion: “The status quo is no longer tolerable, and Britney Spears will not be extorted,” Rosengart wrote. “Mr. Spears’s blatant attempt to barter suspension and removal in exchange for approximately $2 million in payments, on top of the millions already reaped from Ms. Spears’s estate by Mr. Spears and his associates, is a non-starter.” Personally, I'm just glad this woman has legal counsel that puts her needs before everyone else. The next court date is September 29th, and hopefully Judge Penny will rule in her favor and remove her father. variety.com/2021/music/news/britney-spears-extortion-jamie-spears-1235053366/
