Hi everyone! I'm so glad to be back on FORT after being away for a long while. But it is soooo sad to come back to this news about the death of Alicia Witt's parents. Oddly, I actually knew the mother, Diane Witt, pretty well. Many years ago, she lived on my floor in an apartment building in L.A., and she often helped me out as a dog walker. The mom lived in L.A. (to be near her daughter, Alicia) while the dad lived with Alicia's brother in Massachusetts (in that run-down house that's pictured in one of the posted articles). I never met Alicia, but her parents were really, really proud of her. They were a very unusual family -- the mom was somewhat of a hoarder and the dad was kind of a recluse. But they were both very, very nice. By the way, at the very end of one of the articles it mentioned that the mom, Diane, had some notoriety in her own right because she had never cut her hair, and it was approximately ten feet long! That's true! She wore it piled on top of her head under a turban, and I always thought it must be soooo heavy!  |

She sounds like a really sweet woman. In fact, they both sound like characters and it is sad that they are no more.
I wonder if Alicia will continue acting? Sometimes, something like this creates a sea change; I know N'Bushe Wright quit acting after her dad was found murdered in his house stuffed in a trunk, and she was building quite the career at the time (Dead Presidents and other films).

Jaime Lynn (Britney's sister) went on Good Morning America this morning supposedly to talk about her new book but really, it was just an excuse to dish about what she allegedly did to "help her sister" which of course was nothing; most of what she said was extremely self-serving. Trying to get control of your nephews' trust fund isn't the help she seems to think it is, but of course she didn't bring that up. Saying your sister is "paranoid, erratic, and spiraling" in your book while claiming you don't discuss your sister's struggles is disingenious.
Then there's the brother's interview last year where he described the conservatorship as being "the family business." I've developed a deep dislike for everyone in this family not named Britney.

Former FBI agent backs up claims Britney Spears' dad spied on her A former FBI agent has reportedly confirmed Britney Spears' claim that her dad spied on her before he was removed as her conservator, an allegation she made during her struggle to end the conservatorship. The claim was also explored in the documentary "Controlling Britney Spears." In a new court filing, former FBI fraud and corruption specialist Sherine Ebadi says Jamie Spears "engaged in and directed others to engage in unconscionable violations of [Britney's] privacy and civil liberties." Sherine's findings reportedly suggest Jamie could be guilty of "criminal" behavior in relation to his handling of his daughter's estate, which Britney's lawyer argues lost more than $6 million to Jamie's self-interest-focused management. I have been a fan of her work in the past but her public persona has always come across to me as I know better than you. I am not a fan of her public persona at all. Just because you think something doesn't mean it's a good idea to let it come out.

Upsetting news. Wells Fargo decided to freeze all of Wendy Williams bank accounts with them because they felt like she was "being exploited." Wendy hit back saying that she needs to pay her mortgage and her staff and she's fine, and sued to get her accounts reopened. The whole situation is murky because she fired her financial advisor a while ago and that same advisor was the one who notified the bank that exploitation was happening, but they're being deliberately being vague on exactly what that is. The bank is trying to get someone "independent who can monitor her financial affairs" which smells suspiciously like a conservatorship. What the hell? Fortunately, Williams was able to get her accounts reopened but now the bank is taking her to court to file for a guardian for her and her money. I know that banks routinely freeze accounts if they suspect fraud, "romance scams" relatives taking advantage, and other things but trying to take someone's financial automony from them is overstepping. Interesting how this seems to mostly happen to women...and Wendy Williams is not a poor woman. I know there have been reports about her mental state but nothing is confirmed, and if she really is mentally sound I would take every penny of mine out of that bank if I were her. Grimes has done several interviews in sucession lately that have been interesting.
- The interviewer noticed a crying baby in the room and when she asked about it Grimes said that "she was not allowed to talk about such things" then spilled the beans; she and Elon have a bb girl now! Welcome to the world, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk!
Yes, that is the bbs actual name. And considering what they named their son I like this so much better!
- In another interview she complains about Elon having her live "in a 40k house with drafts and eating peanut butter for 8 days in a row." I mean, I've heard rumors of Elon's Howard Hughes tendencies and I respect her for not wanting to have him finance her but damn, there's a lot of room between "I'm going to have kids with a rich man to solidify my bag" and "I'm going to let this rich MF take advantage of my good nature." Girl, if you don't get some type of bag from this man for your children at least...
- stated that it was "Elon's job to train the boy, and her job to train the girl." I can't...
- Also did another interview where she says that the first interview was months ago; she's broken up with Musk and is now with Chelsea Manning?
Considering how all of this happened in the space of a week it's a bit much.
