Stiff Person Syndrome is a rare autoimmune disease. In college, I knew an artist/instructor who died from it. Hang tough Celine.

A good friend’s daughter was diagnosed with stiff person’s disease. She really struggled. She received some kind of specialized treatment and is much better now.

I've never heard of it. We saw her in concert, it was fantastic. Reading this makes me sad.

Celine Dion has been looking "off" for a few years and I've seen a few blind items hinting that she had a serious illness. I'm sorry those items were correct. She seems to have had a rough go of it since losing her husband.
I just read a few articles about stiff person syndrome and it sounds like she could live a fairly long time - as long as 28 years - after diagnosis, but some people barely make it 5 years. Based on the fact that she's super rich, I'd guess she's getting very good medical care, so hopefully, they can slow the progression of the disease. Her twins are still so young.
I'd swear I remember seeing pics of Simon Cowell where he looks exactly like the ones in recent articles. I mean the pictures were from several years ago. I saw a few articles and literally thought they'd used old pictures. IIRC, he then had the issue corrected and he looked better. Is it possible he had the same bad work done again?
I don't understand this constant need to get plastic surgery done. Does he think we all don't know how old he is? That we'll suddenly think he's 40 or 50? There are just far too many people in show business getting terrible work done and trying not just to look younger, but to look YOUNG. It never works.

It does seem that often they look worse than before. I saw an article about Charlotte Rampling. She is 76 and looks lovely as a woman her age. It helps that she was gorgeous to begin with but she still looks marvelous. No work needed. She said you get tempted because you aren't use to the change of aging but just wait (and it can take awhile) you will find that you grow into your older face.

It is very sad. I know people are blaming her and she did do this to herself, but an addiction and mental issues are both real things. Now she can never get the help she needed. I feel for her kids. This exactly. It hurts my heart to see so many people just being hateful towards her. Yes, what she did was wrong and should not have happened. It did. Addiction is an awful disease. It is not easy to get past and it does a number on you. These people act like all you have to do is stop. That simple. Mental issues on top of addiction makes it all that much worse. The addiction can make the mental issues worse. She is still a human being. Anne was not impaired; tests showed the presence of drugs in her system but from past use only. Her death has been officially ruled as an accident.

Was it mechanical? Was it medical? So sad. As I recall Anne was speeding very fast on a residential street (there are videos of her speeding) and Anne lost control of her car and slammed into a lady's home and landed car and all in her single car garage. The car caught on fire immediately. FD was called right away but the car and the garage are on fire and it was incredibly difficult for the FD to reach Anne hence so much of her body was burnt. But back to what caused the accident .... SPEED.

After all the sadness in this post as well as the Death one a bit of very happy news; Rumor Willis just announced she is pregnant!
Considering the news about Bruce last year this family can do with some happy news. Demi Moore is already bragging about how she is going to be the wildest Grandma ever, and I like the idea of Bruce being happily retired and enjoying his grandchild.

Evidently Jeremy Renner is in critical but stable condition after suffering injuries in some sort of accident regarding a snow plow yesterday in Reno. Details are sketchy & the story is just developing.

Actor Jeremy Renner is hospitalized in critical condition after being injured in a weather-related snow plowing incident in Nevada, his publicist confirmed to CNN.
“As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” Sam Mast told CNN in a statement. “His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”
Officers responded to a “traumatic injury” in the area of Mount Rose Highway in Reno, according to a news release from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, which has previously said the Academy Award-nominated actor lived in the community.
The sheriff’s office did not provide details on the extent of Renner’s injuries or what may have caused the accident.
Deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Renner via care flight to a local area hospital, the release stated.
Renner, who stars in the Paramount+ series “Mayor of Kingstown” and has been featured in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films – including in the role of Hawkeye – was the only person involved in the accident, officials said.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is looking into the circumstances.
Renner has featured multiple videos and photos on his verified social media accounts showing him in snowy conditions.
A photo from a year ago posted on his Instagram account shows a group of trees in an area with significant snow fall.
“How would you feel if your driveway looked like this??,” his caption reads. “I’m so happy Mother Nature dictates my day!”
In one video posted two weeks ago and featured in his Instagram holiday highlights reels, Renner appears to be driving a snow plow with the caption, “pave new paths, holiday adventures.”
Another from a week ago shows snow being plowed with the caption, “Nearly done with sledding hill for the kids.”

Yeah, they're being really quiet about what happened. Was he operating the snowplow, or was he walking and it hit him? We don't know. Hoping he has a full recovery.

It sounds like he was plowing his driveway, which could have meant a smaller plow. I speculate it could have rolled over, trapping him.

It sounds like he was plowing his driveway, which could have meant a smaller plow. I speculate it could have rolled over, trapping him. Based on the pics of the plow from his sm, it's rather large - it's a Snow Cat. It also looks like a big, more rural property. That TMZ article says he was plowing the road about a 1/4 mile from his home.
The reports sound pretty dire. I hope he's able to pull through
People bag on TMZ a lot, but they're very good at getting info about this sort of thing. I tend to believe their reporting.

I agree about TMZ, they do seem to be on point often. I know the main thing is saving him the person, but I hope they can save his leg if that is true what is being said.

They're the ones who broke the story about Michael Jackson's death and I think Whitney Houston's too (still doesn't feel real to type that sentence). People may not like TMZ - and heck, I don't sometimes - but they are pretty accurate with these types of stories. I think they must have sources reaching out to them with info AND they probably have expert ways of getting info. I hope we hear some good news about Jeremy soon.
If the worst happens and he loses his leg, his wealth is a big thing in his favor. He'd be able to afford the best care and best prosthetics available. He's also very fit and healthy.
