I don't mind what Tyra is wearing. The colour suits her Jojo and Jenna danced a VW, it looked beautiful. The judges really liked it. 9's !!!

I'm glad to see Derek back!
Scores are trending higher tonight, it seems. Even Kenya, who messed up a bit, earned one 8.
I'm not sure how I feel about the "Mickey Challenge" because it seems so unnecessary. Although, in the Paso, it was interesting how they slowed it down so much.

Ah, and now Brian gets some sixes; so much for the higher scores! I must have been imagining, or maybe just delusional.

I'm beginning to think the wardrobe department hates Tyra. What the hell was she wearing? Ugly and unflattering.

I enjoyed Mel and Glen, well done! Love Mary Poppins. Scores were good
Matt and Lindsey, no idea who he was, it seemed very rushed to me..didn't enjoy it...6's
I like Jimmie, and I didn't know who he was, but now, he's a favourite...loved his paso with Emma
Is Amanda a dancer, I always enjoy her..she moves beautifully. Alan , no idea who he was, but I heard 12 years old, that sounded right..
Olivia is a contender, she does everything Val throws at her, plus she's as cute as a button..
Oh lord, Tyra changed. I just noticed... The Miz was enjoyable, not my favorite dance of his..
I love having Derek as a judge..

Yes. Amanda has previous dance experience. She's a former Broadway performer and had been in musicals, I think.
Melora also has a dance background that shows. She moves beautifully!

Tyra had the nerve to tell us this week that she will be coming out in her second costume---maybe warning us? I think that was really over the top in rudeness since there have been so many complaints about her clothes.....and heavens, while the first one wasn't bad at all the second one was ugly and made her look heavier.
Anybody agree that with the villain night she will do a Cruella De Ville?
Loved the show overall but I am getting tired of BAG and his girlfriend. They deserved the low scores.

I don't have a lot to say on last night's dancing except for the scores were pretty much right on. Maybe some a bit high some a bit low,but for the most part everyone was graded pretty fairly. I will say I do hate how much Len is booed for his critiques. Len is, in my opinion, the one judge who is on point with what is wrong with any dance and I love when he points out where there is not enough of any specific dance's content... often because I say the same. Derek offers much of the same but it is usually laced in so much ass-kissing and pandering it gets lost for me.
I just cannot with Tyra anymore.. the first costume was meh, but not as bad as some, the second was just.. again.. just cannot. I am ready to start a GoFundMe to raise enough capital to make a run at EP to can her. I feel as if all the wardrobe money is spent on her because the stars and pros have looked like they made a run at the pop-up Halloween Big Box store for most of their costumes... steady downhill race there for me. Melora danced an amazing Quickstep, like you would see in a 1920s speakeasy. Down and dirty at times and smelling like bathtub gin.. as it should be! I loved it. It has to be my favorite Artim routine ever.. but gawd that costume was atrocious.
There were 2 things I took away from last night..
1. I wish Emma would stop dying her hair, go back to the darker color it is far more flattering to her. Sharna too, I liked the fun red she had but the blonde is not her.,, kinda wish she would dump BAG too, but that is another rant for another time. She is too good for him IMO.
2. Everyone should want their significant other to look at them the way Val looked at Jenna during the judges comments last night. He just had such a look of love and pride when they were telling her how talented she is and how well she did/is doing this season. It was a big Awwwww moment for me. I love those two crazy kids!

I didn't watch last night's show, but aren't they still taping without a full live audience? And if there's no real audience, who exactly is booing? Are they using canned boos for Len? If they are, that's just pathetic... EDIT: I just watched a couple of the dances on demand -- it looks like there's a small number of people standing and watching from the upper tiers. But the show is obviously augmenting the applause, so I would believe that they are augmenting the boos too. I really want to know who is telling them that we want to see Len booed, because that's who they should have fired instead of Tom.

Or maybe the dynamic in their relationship is such that she can't be as blunt and honest with him as she would be with someone else. I can't imagine that it's ever a good idea to put a celeb with their real-life partner if the other person isn't a professional dancer who is used to taking criticism.

I don't think its a good idea either. I'm not sure about their relationship, it's obvious Sharna is very smitten, but I don't get the same feeling from him. Maybe that's just my imagination. A few didn't do well last night, that could be up to learning two dances

My take on all of their (read as his) dancing.. as I have an increasingly different take on their personal relationship (/snark off).. is that he simply does NOT take it all that seriously. I know he said something in an earlier video package that doing the show made him see how important this is to her but it is clearly not so much to him. I do wish he would be more serious, for her sake and I wonder if she knows that trying to 'push' him just will not help.

For me, this is when it becomes a popularity contest, and if he still has a following, he'll still get votes.( for awhile)

I have to think she is doing all she can in rehearsals because she is so professional, but like you said we are not privy to all that. I think all the 90210 people still have a decent following, we did have to suffer through how many seasons of Tori's reality circus?! But I think by now Sharna does too, and I love her to death.. she is one of my top 3 fave female pros (Jenna and Linds my other 2) and I would vote for her sometimes not her partner. Why I am so torn this season, I want her to do well, I would love to see her win with her real life partner too (making it that much sweeter) but I cannot get behind him. And taking bets when it comes to Tyra's costumes tonight.. Ursula anyone??? I can almost see the Wicked Queen too, oir is that too much on the nose with her taking the DWTS Kingdom from Tom and banishing Erin??

I did vote for Cruella as it is an outrageous costume. Ursula is just sort of black and maybe not spectacular enough for her.....see we are playing right into her hand with all this speculation ;-)

BUT if any week merits it, it would be this week. We do get to see 2 marvels of Tyra's closet tonight, so there is a chance for both Cruella and Ursula, or The Queen, or even Maleficent... I need to stop I am starting to scare myself with all the possibilities. lol FannyMare not a real vote, ibot mentioned Cruella earlier in the thread too is all

In one of the past episodes, it felt like BAG did NOT handle Sharna's criticism well. Even though she's the expert, he seemed to be angry with her in the way that some men who want to be in control at all times in a relationship can be. It felt like he was trying (and not completely successful) at suppressing the urge to say "You don't get tell ME what to do." I definitely think Sharna isn't pushing him as hard as she'd push any other partner.
On the surface and in the video packages, he seems smitten with her, but I've read some blind items about him that are not great, with respect to his behavior in that relationship. Sharna's way too good for him and absolutely deserves better.

Emma was the perfect Tink! The more that I watch of Dan some more that I really do like Jimmy. Even if he does remind me of a slightly more subdued Chris Tucker. I thought that was very well scored. Great way to open the show.

I'm enjoying these villain dances almost more than last night's (and they were pretty good). Seems there are several Pasos, and the music is sounding pretty good tonight too.
Matt got some 8s even! I thought his snake suit (from Jungle Book) looked very nice on him. There are a lot of good costumes and makeup effects too!
And, again, I love having Derek there. ❤

That surprised me, to be honest.
Kenya gets to stay, and Len sends Matt home! Yes, he had a low score, but I thought all of Bachelor Nation would've voted for him to stay. But, he ended up in the bottom two, and Len made the cut.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention BAG was also sent home (no judge's vote, just eliminated). That one didn't surprise me one bit.

I wasn’t surprised about Brian Austin Green, I was surprised that Matt was in the bottom but I’m not sure that I am surprised they didn’t save him either.
I must admit the dancers were all very nice tonight, I don’t think there was one I absolutely hated or didn’t think was scored too low.
I guess I can see where the costume budget went, everyone actually looked really good with the persona they were playing tonight. I hate to admit but even Tyra was kind of palatable tonight.
I think the worst thing about tonight’s episode was that they raised the bar and their shotty camera work. We even saw a cameraman walk in front of the camera which was also filming a prop on the dance floor blocking the dancers.

Kanya is a better dancer than Matt, but I'm surprised that Bachelor Nation didn't vote for him in large enough numbers to keep him in a little bit longer. To be fair, he would have stayed for another week if it hadn't been a double-elimination. But it's possible that's why Len wanted to get the Bachelor person out while he had a chance. They tend to stay in over more talented dancers, and there are so many talented people this time.
I feel bad for Matt, though, since it shows that he's not very popular in Bachelor Nation. Joe Amabile was a much worse dancer and was eliminated just before the semifinals. Essentially, he's tied with Jake Pavelka for the earliest exit.
