So Rodney's gone, and they made two of the remaining three look problematic in terms of being able to talk about their feelings, which seems a huge red flag to me. Brandon and his family seem the best fit for her and her family, even though she looks 10 years older than he does. It's not that she looks old, just that he looks about 18. He's so sweet... he'll be crushed if he's not picked.

I liked Rodney real well. I thought he was a sweetheart. I just get the feeling Nayte is immature.

I liked Brandon best for her. He does sound & look young, but he acts mature & caring. It seems like he'd be a great fit. But it's not me making the decision. Michelle has to be the one to pick who she thinks is best for her.
So many of these leads pick based on looks, immediate physical chemistry, & that whole best behavior thing that most people exhibit at the beginning. Most of them don't look at the big picture & see which of the guys (or gals) they are attracted to would be choices for the long haul. They see what they want to see rather than the signs or reality of the situation that are there. I know I've done it.

Rodney would have been great husband material, but I don't think Michelle was feeling romantic chemistry. Brandon would also be a good husband, and I loved her conversation with his dad. Joe and Nayte are concerning to me. Of those two, Joe seems the better choice, although he's a bit too reticent in my opinion. Nayte is just not even close to Michelle's level of maturity, and I'd hate to see her subconsciously choosing someone she has to teach because she's a teacher at heart.

I completely agree about the looks and chemistry thing, and that's been a problem IMO over the years in both of these shows! (I'm thinking Jillian, Andi, and lots of the guys.) What surprises me is that Michelle states several times that she wants to be friends with her husband, similar to her parents relationship. But from what I can see, she's following her heart towards who she's "hottest for" instead of the friends thing. But that could be an editing thing, and who knows, maybe she feels like any of these last guys are good friends and husbands combined. ? The nature of this show going so fast, really emphasizes the chemistry between couples in a way that a long-term dating experience would balance out with other aspects. And since the producers want "I love yous" and an engagement, they're not going to push friendly relationships - they want the heat! LOL!

And this is why these relationships unfortunately don't work ..
