I realize the first season of this show ended a few weeks ago but I've finally caught up and feel the need to comment.
Anybody here watch this show? It stars Sandra Oh from Grey's Anatomy fame and is broadcast on the BBC channel. (I didn't even realize I had the BBC channel on my cable lineup till I heard about Killing Eve and specifically looked for it.) Very interesting show about an American woman (Oh) living in Europe and working as part of the MI5 in a fairly low level desk position. Well, her job expands (her mission is to hunt for a female assassin) and all sorts of interesting drama begins.
What I am finding I like best about this show besides the storyline is that it's obviously NOT made in accordance with America's television standards or production methods....in a good way. I love the feel, setting, and cast. I'm not sure if it's on demand but if it is...give it a chance.
I'm looking forward to Season 2.

I love everything about this show, from the actors to the locations to that ending! Jodie Corner has come a long way from My Mad Fat Diary, and Sandra is always excellent. I can't believe we have to wait a whole year for Season 2.

I've never seen Jodie Comer in anything else but I will say she is an excellent actress. She knocks this role out of the park! Not only does she perform the serious scenes well but she makes me...laugh. Ya know?

Jodie Comer is great in Doctor Foster and Thirteen. I'd recommend both if your looking for a good binge.

So in love with this show! I like that it is truly funny. And even 'Villenelle' is weirdly likable. In fact all the characters are. Such great dialogue.
Saw Jodie Comer in Thirteen and was wow'd by her performance. She is one of these actresses that I'd watch in anything.

Congrats to Sandra Oh and the writer of Killing Eve on their Emmy nods! I'm torn between her and Keri Russell winning it.

Before this show, I'd seen Jodie Comer in various things, but she was a revelation in this show. I knew Sandra Oh was amazing, but JC more than kept up with her. SHE and the show deserved an Emmy nod, along with Sandra's. It did take several years for Tatiana Maslany to be given an awards love, so maybe next year Jodie and the show will be recognized too.

I agree. JC' role is haunting and strangely likable? That part when she was in the kitchen and started to pout? Wow.

I'm thinking they didn't want to commit category fraud and put her in supporting, since she and Sandra are more like co-leads on the show. The Lead Actress category is so loaded this year I guess they went with the more veteran actress. In all fairness, Sandra should have gotten an Emmy years ago for GA, and she was fantastic in KE. Jodie and the show might get some love at the Globes.

Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg from Brooklyn 99 are co-hosting the Golden Globes on January 6th!
Also, for those who missed out on seeing Killing Eve (or who fancy a rewatch) BBC America is reairing it this month.

DH and I just finished the first season this weekend. What a revelation this show is! It got weirder and more interesting as it went on. Sandra Oh is great and I love Jodie Comer. I remembered her from the White Princess. I hope these awards giver her love soon. She is fabulous! And I agree, the two are co-leads.

I really enjoyed her and Adam Sandler as hosts. And congratulations to her. After Tuscany and medical drama, good on her. Yeah, I teared up the whole show...what's with that?

Killing Eve has already been greenlit for season 3!
For those of you who watched last night, who were the fake police people who went to V's apartment (the ones who shot the landlady)?

I got caught up with the first season. I felt bad for eve's husband. Don't they normally carry guns or other weapons with them, especially when they are tracking down a crazy serial killer?

I was glad to see that Eve's husband finally left, he deserves better. Eve was acting creepy in the past episode. I know this is a TV show, but I'm not sure how long the interactions between Villanelle and Eve and can go until it starts being too over the top.

I hope that Eve is dead. But I doubt they kill off her character. They ended the second season same as the first. I have to say the cat and mouse/infatuation thing is the least entertaining for me. I would watch the show just for Villanelle's story of being a bad ass assassin. She shines for me and as great as Sandra Oh is, I find her scenes as more of a filler.

The obsession that Eve and Villanelle have for each other has gotten rather creepy. They are starting to make Eve just as crazy as the assassin. The season started going downhill for me around the midway mark. In the season finale, Eve sleeps with a work colleague that is half her age. Then after he was shot... instead of getting an ambulance for him and getting him to the hospital, Eve writes a note for the front desk, while he's bleeding to death in the hotel. Classy stuff. Villanelle finally kills off that really boring character(I forget his name). Then Villanelle shoots Eve cause she doesn't want to go on a trip to alaska with her.
