Oh girl. It's not his heart he will be following. It will be little Clayton leading him astray.

Okay, who called Teddi getting the first impression rose?

Is anyone tallying how many women he's kissed tonight? At least 10, I think.
The First Impression rose is going to Teddi, who he kissed the most/longest.

Called it...Teddi. First kiss...not forced.
Why do I get the impression that he is the kind of guy who falls in love so easily? Oh, because that is the type of guy tptb can easily manipulate.

How does she have a phone? I'm sure this is so genuine. I can't take this. This is the earliest that a show has annoyed me. It looks like she got her audition for some potential roles, or at least a shot at BIP. The whole thing screamed fake, and annoying. And we're already 30 minutes into the episode There was a huge social media backlash against her when she was announced as a contestant. People freaked out about her Instagram since she'd posted about her bachelorette party just a few days before she was announced to be going on the show. (The implication was that she'd dumped her fiance to go on the show.) The Bachelor wasn't going to let her be on after all that drama, but I'm guessing this was a good way of getting some mileage out of her story without actually having her on the show.

Well, that was kind of a letdown, although most of the Night 1 episodes are. Clayton seems like kind of a doofus, but a nice doofus.
I went into this really disliking Jesse Palmer. One of my most disliked Bachelors. A conceited misogyinistic jerk. However, I'm giving him a chance. So far he's doing OK. Way better than the giggling schoolgirls we got with The Bachelorette. He seems to have grown up now. Maybe marriage did that to him. He had a lot of poise & seemed like an authority figure, like Chris Harrison did. I felt like they had an adult in charge this season. Those other hosting gigs he had did a lot of good.
As for the girls/women, they got on my nerves big time. A bunch of desperate needy little girls. But then, that's what the show wants. I can't figure out why they had Weeping Willow on. She should have never gotten as far in casting as she did. That girl just didn't belong there. Production had to have seen that. Didn't anyone tell her what show she was applying to. Waste of our time. The one girl who went home looked a lot like Chrissy Teigen. Not sure, might have been named Jane?
A few of them really rubbed me the wrong way. Unfortunately looked like two of those made it really far. This could very well be a looooonnnng season for me.

I tried this morning on HULU. I got as far as the depressed girl pleading a non-case to the feral bachelor. My wedding was supposed to be yesterday...ARGHHHH! That's it.
If I found the bachelor attractive, maybe I would hang in there, but the under-bite, big head and big teeth makes me think of Little Red Riding Hood's wolf. Can't do it.
I'll watch Jesse host on Food Network instead.
Sam Rubin, who is Entertainment reporter on local TV, said the new drinking phrase is "My Person." So, go for it, gang - or should I say, My People!.

I don't find Clayton attractive in the least, Arielflies, but that won't stop me from watching. I only have missed 2 Bachelor seasons, and interestingly enough, one of them was Jesse Palmer's. I honestly don't know why I chose not to. I Googled him as all I could recall is that he was a NFL player. His season was way back in 2004 and he was only 26 years old at the time. Therefore, I will cut him some slack if he came off as a doofus or a player. He's 43 now and didn't marry until 2020. I think minimum age for this show should be 30.

These comments! Clayton doesn't blow my skirt up either, but I can still enjoy laughing at this mess of a show.

I wanted to see Jesse, he did a pretty decent job. Especially compared to the girls. The set up with the girl coming to his hotel and getting a rose, did me in. I remembered why I cannot watch.. they seem so young , so giggly, and apparently there's no T in Clayton.. Enjoy ladies! I just can't.⚘

Ugh, I hate this show so much! I think the last season I watched was Trista’s season as the Bachelorette. Everything is so fake! They’re still using the same buzzwords “journey” , “connection”, “this process” as they’ve been for the past 20 years, & looks like “my person” has been added to the mix since I last watched. The ONLY reason I’m watching is because my co-worker’s daughter is on this season.
“Will you accept this rose?” Feels even more cheesy than ever. Watching the bachelor make out with so many women one after another within the same night is so gross. And these women crying about not getting a rose still cracks me up. YOU JUST MET THIS GUY! Quit crying like a fool.
This guy seems so boring & he’s just average in looks, IMO.
I feel like I’ve entered hell.

I agree, nennie. Looks aren't everything. There have been several Bachelors who were really nice looking, but their personality or character didn't end up the most attractive.

I agree, nennie. Looks aren't everything. There have been several Bachelors who were really nice looking, but their personality or character didn't end up the most attractive. I don't find Clayton unattractive at all. He's not really handsome, but so few of the Bachelors are, in my opinion. We still don't know enough about his personality to judge him on that either. He was virtually invisible on Michelle's season. The underbite does bug me a bit, but depending on what kind of guy he turns out to be, I could get used to that very easily. I don't like the way the show is promoting his having sex with multiple women, in ALL the previews/promos. They're really beating us over the head with that one. I don't need or want to know that at this point. It puts a negative slant on both Clayton & his whole season. We don't need that at the very beginning. People get all upset when the lead tells more than one person that they're in love with them. That doesn't bother me in the least. It's just words spoken in the moment. But this is a whole different ball of wax. If he does it & chooses to keep it to himself, or tell his chosen finalist in private, that's his business. But announcing & bragging about it to the other women, whether at a Rose Ceremony, or anywhere else, is over the line. That's what's putting me off on this season & on Clayton. I just don't like the nonchalant & random attitude toward sex that this show seems to promote. Like it's nothing more important than a kiss. IT IS! If it were me there, I wouldn't weep, cry, scream or fall on the floor about it. I'd just turn & walk out the door. Game over. End of story. Don't want to be there no more.

I don't get the impression he was bragging about having sex with multiple people. It seemed more like he was trying to be upfront, but it was a bad move regardless of his motivation.

It's FAR too early to judge someone's character on this show when we've barely seen what they're like. My comment was based strictly on his physical appearance.

I didn't mean to criticize your comment. We all have our own tastes as to what or who is attractive. I don't think he's all that attractive either. I think he's very average looking. There have been Bachelors on this show that they promote as being one of the most handsome men ever, but then I see them & think "You've got to be kidding!" On Katie's season, so many people thought that that floppy haired guy was so good looking. I thought he was unattractive & dopey looking from the very beginning. I wouldn't have even given him a chance. Then his personality came out & YUCK. He was even worse. Anyhow, we'll all see what we think of Clayton in a few weeks, that is, if we're still watching.
