I enjoy teams that are clever and keep to themselves. I don’t want sharing this time…... This is a race!

30 minutes in and I have found the one I want gone. Akbar is truly being an ass to Sheri. Good

They are lucky they have a kind hearted baker, because I would have sent a couple back for fixing. Everyone making it to first pit stop are so happy!

I loved it being in London. The flight attendants didn't know what a bobby was? I liked all the teams, I'm so happy this is back The two guys that found the amazing race clue, and couldn't/ didnt believe it. Too funny Keep racing!

The glimpse into a pre-COVID society, where people hug strangers and shake hands, etc., was interesting.

Yay, my favorite show is back! I loved seeing London, especially pre-covid(ish) days. I'm so glad they figured out a way to continue. Okay, sometimes you don't know things but don't be afraid to ask. Look how much quicker it was to get going on their way for the team who knew they didn't know and asked what a bobby was instead of wandering around wondering. Those two who wasted a half hour because they didn't believe that guy when he told them they already had the clue. I don't even know what to say about it! No wonder the Love Island chick was frustrated with him. I started wondering about halfway through the pit stops if that's what was happening!

So happy my favorite show is back! Love way more teams than teams I dislike. Overall, I think this will be a good group. Itll be interesting to see if some couples make it back after the break - like the Love Island couple. I can their relationship not surviving long enough to return.

I lost my local CBS channel. Looks as if FIOS is negotiating with TENGA and I lost a lot of cable channels, another reason to switch to streaming. Thankfully I have Paramount +. Just finished watching.
Akbar and Sheri - his motivating is annoying.
The two that overthought what a clue was? When stuff like this happens I always think "Have you ever watched this show?"
Lulu and Lala - what insane person named them that?
What is funny is all the social influencers that are on this show I have no clue who they are.

The glimpse into a pre-COVID society, where people hug strangers and shake hands, etc., was interesting. It was SO weird. My brain knew it was pre-covid but I kept feeling anxious and nervous every time they would get in a cab or hug someone. The lack of masks was what really did it for me. I kept having to remind myself that it was pre-covid. It also made me really really miss our old lives.

Bearcata, you crack me up!
It is so weird to see pre-covid. It's a bit like the beginning of a horror movie. The social media parents, for instance, she gets the clue and immediately puts it in her mouth! Were we ever that free? It seems so far away now.
I was also shocked by how little the flight attendants knew about the world. I mean, I get Brexit is confusing, but not knowing what a Bobby is? And not interested in the news? You are flight attendants! Aren't you a little curious about the places where you land?

It's like watching a Trivia Challenge on MTV's The Challenge and being asked "What language do they speak in Australia?" and the player answers "Dutch." With so many people streaming content from all over the world does no one pick up on cultural references?

The Amazing Race was my sister’s favorite show. We’d watch it together or call each other to discuss the people, places, and challenges. My sister passed in July. 😢 I don’t think I can watch it without my sister.

Aww, woodiedog I'm so sorry. I would likely feel the same, since my sister and I share a love for the show. Maybe next season you'll be ready to watch it, kind of to honor her and her love for it? I don't know, but I sympathize with you and understand how hard it must be. Please take care!

Thanks everyone. 💕
I want to mention how thankful I am for these boards and for you and your contributions. While my sister was ill and when she passed, I had many sleepless nights. I would open up the fort and read Your comments and snark about shows, personalities, weather, etc. you all helped me make it through some tough times. I appreciate you all so much!

That was one of the best premieres ever. I really love this cast a lot, its so diverse and a lot of them have some very interesting and emotional heart warming stories. So far there is not one team that I dont like and that is very rare, its still early though so that could change. That was the first time in the history of this show that a non elimination has happened on the second leg.
So apparently the first three legs were filmed before the pandemic and then Leg 4 and going forward was filmed in September 2021. I have heard that there is at least one team that was not able to return to the race in September so I'm curious to see how that will play out later on.
Woodiedog I am very sorry for your loss.
