Steven sometimes seems to make snap decisions about the women and cut them off based on one thing that he decides makes them incompatible. This could be editing, or their way of simplifying things for us. I hope so. Maybe he knew all along that those women were not for him, so when it comes right down to it, he comes up with "reasons."
Kurt is frustrating as all get out! Carolyn is just a nightmare, but he'll have to find out himself I guess. I really like how he and Amanda laugh together and get along so well.

Both Kurt and Steven have to make a snap decision based on a conversation with each female, that is the premise of the show. I do appreciate that Steven looks to have really put some thought into it. Kurt on the other hand has "Little Kurt" doing all his thinking for him.

The last women show up at the mansion and find that they are the last ones left.
Annie and Steven go paddle boarding...and making out. After they go on a picnic and discuss finances. He thinks they have such easy conversations and has been since the beginning. They have so many things in common, but is this what he wants? More making out.
Kurt and Carolyn play tennis...and make out. She says they have had uncomfortable conversations...Hmmm... I see him trying to have the conversations, you not so much. He has been drawn to her since the start. She tells him she loves him and he says he misses her when she isn't there and is the person he looks for when he walks in a room and they make out some more. He is swearing up a storm at himself.

Kurt can't help himself with Carolyn. He is just drawn to her.
The guys meet up and compare dates. Say only one more and then there will be hell.
Calah and Steven cook at home and he will make margarita's. They try to cook. I see that neither of them cook. They set off the smoke alarms and the food sucked but they had a great date. Discuss her dating life and she has dated rich guys before but the values they share are more important. He thinks with Calah there is still a lot of things he doesn't know. Is that a good thing? Making out.
Kurt says he lights up with Amanda and they have fun. Hmmm...That never goes well. apparently they are cooking too. They are making pizza and both enjoy cooking. Discuss money. She doesn't care, but wants her guy to be hard working. He is more confused.
Some making out.Guys get a wake up call from Martin.
I love these guys. Steven says he was hoping to find the women of his dreams and had no idea he would also find the man of his dreams!

Oh, they are intercutting all the women with the guys at the same time so we can't tell who arrived first.
This is torture!

Kurt says his head is telling him Amanda, but his heart is telling Carolyn.
Kurt tells Carolyn as much as it breaks his heart, his heart belongs to someone else. He thinks they would burn out quickly. She is pissed!!!
OMG I am surprised.

Kurt gives a ring to Amanda and he is falling in love and wants to follow through. Making out.
Steven gives a ring to Calah and gives her a ring to make this work! Making out.
And out comes Martin with the bell and tells them to tell the ladies who is the millionaire.
Kurt tells Amanda he isn't rich and she steps out for a think, but he is still the guy for her.
Steven admits to Calah that he is. He tells her that he has a helicopter and they are laughing.
Everyone hugs it out together and the couples individually.
OMG that was so good!!!

Aggggh! I am shocked that Kurt picked Amanda. I really thought he was going to pick Carolyn. A man listening to his mother??? Love it! Also, Amanda is just awesome. She's funny, intelligent, and has a mom that keeps you on your toes (although I would ask my mom not to divulge my monetary wealth anymore, which would probably fall on deaf ears).
I really loved this show!

Per an article that just posted on TMZ, Kurt & Amanda broke up after about a month & a-half. I found an interview with Steven and Calah. They’re still together and just bought a house. I’m not surprised that they seem to be working out…. Or that Kurt and Amanda didn’t. I don’t think he’s ready for a serious relationship.

That's sad, I really thought Kurt and Amanda would last longer than that. I was screaming when he sent Carolyn home, never thought he'd do it! Of course she left with all the grace I'd expect. So happy about Steven and Calah, he was posting up a storm on Twitter last night. They're adorable.

So happy about Steven and Calah, he was posting up a storm on Twitter last night. They're adorable. Glad to see that at least one couple seems to be working so far. Carolyn was in a snit. She was so sure she had won Kurt from the very beginning and she was not afraid to let the other women know that. She knows how to play the intimidation game. I do wonder if Kurt had picked her if she would have left once she found out he was not a millionaire? I think she would have. There was something very arrogant and cocky they way Carolyn said "I'm the girl that got away." I also think there was something very calculating with her saying "I am in love with you" during their last date. Overall I am glad Kurt did not propose to Carolyn, I think they would have crash and burned. There was stuff she simply was not telling him about her past, it was so shady how she always avoided talking about it and turned it into Kurt being insecure just like she did in her last commentary in the car. I don't think Kurt is ready to settle down yet.

I listened to Reality Steve's podcast with Steven, Calah and Amanda earlier today. It sounds like Steven and Calah are really happy. They were able to spend a good deal of time together after filming at his home because he lives in the middle of nowhere - I think he said the nearest neighbor is 5 miles away. They just got to be normal: watching TV, cooking, taking walks and just getting to know each other. One thing they didn't show was that Steven is involved in residential construction. Calah is a real estate agent (can't remember if they said "realtor"), so they're going to do business together with him building homes and her selling them. They bought a home in Kansas City, which is where he's often doing business. KS is maybe 70 miles from Gallatin, so it's not a huge drive. Basically, they seem like they're really well-suited. Also, both Steven and Calah said that there was a lot about their relationship that wasn't shown and she wasn't nearly as conflicted in her decision between the two guys as it may have seemed. Neither had a bad word to say about Annie. It just sounds like Steven and Calah fit better, as far as their real lives. As we know, Amanda and Kurt broke up. The statements I've seen say that it wasn't contentious, but that they just didn't work in the real world. Amanda was pretty diplomatic, but she hinted that he's just not ready to be in a relationship. Whatever that means, I don't know. They spent time together a few times after the show wrapped and pretty quickly realized it wasn't going to work. Amanda is doing just fine. She moved from CA to NYC - she actually had a moving van and an apartment in NYC right when the show called - and is working on a new business. I don't think she's dating anyone and it's pretty clear the door is closed with Kurt. Reading between the lines of what Amanda said, it sounds like she's not Carolyn's biggest fan. No surprise there. She said things like she felt Carolyn had a good heart....but it seemed like the unsaid part was, "under all that self-involved bitchiness." Both women said the money was not a factor for them. Both guys were driven and owned their own business. Also, it sounds like all of the ladies were pretty split down the middle in who they thought was the millionaire. A note about the filming of the decision night: they started filming before midnight, IIRC, around 9pm and didn't finish until around 5am with Steven and Calah. They alternated "decisions," so while it seemed like the guys were doing their decisions with their women simultaneously, it was Kurt, Steven, Kurt, Steven. Poor Calah said she was ready to go at like 7:30 that night and had to wait all that time. Instead of worrying about losing daylight, they were losing night They all said they sat around, napped, talked, etc. Steven said he and Martin were drinking Red Bulls together to stay awake. I wonder if RS is going to have Kurt on. He did have Steven and Kurt on together before the season started, but I haven't listened to that one. I might go back and check it out. All in all, it sounds like Steven and Calah are doing really well and so is Amanda. No word on whether there'll be a second season.

I finally caught up with this mess and goodness, it delivered! I can't believe....I felt kinda bad for Carolyn? I mean, she was bitter as hell but I don't blame her because this man gassed her up to be his one and only for weeks, only to basically dump her? Her being secretive about certain things didn't help, but she looked genuinely hurt. Yeah...I don't blame her for being put out. Steve seemed like he put a great deal of thought into who he chose, which was nice. He and Callah seem like a good pairing. I would not be one bit surprised if Kurt ends up looking Carolyn up after all of this because I honestly feel like he chose Amanda because she looked good on paper rather than who his heart was calling to.

provenceguy if you could please listen and report back? Because I got the impression that they slept together at some point, and even though both of them are adults with agency if he did all that and then didn't pick her that's kinda grimy.

Because I got the impression that they slept together at some point, and even though both of them are adults with agency if he did all that and then didn't pick her that's kinda grimy. Well, Carolyn was very shady so it is not all on him. Let's face it Carolyn thought she had him wrapped around her pinkie. While I don't watch The Bachelor, Clayton seems to have slept with the top three women and he told them that he did. Which to my mind means he probably slept with a bunch of them.

No, Clayton did not sleep with Susie. She left during the dinner part of the episode, and the two did not go to the Fantasy Suite. Susie's main issue had been that Clayton had professed his love for Gabby and Rachel and had also slept with him. She didn't think she would have to tell her "future husband" not to sleep with other women.

Okay, I listened to the podcast.
Annie: Very well spoken. Was Miss High School America in 2013 and Miss Georgia in 2018. Participated in the Miss America pageant, and her talent was dance. Seeing the two men, Steven was her typical type, so she purposefully focused on Kurt initially to try a different "type". As it turned out, she was still drawn to Steven, though. Annie was 99% sure Steven was going to choose her. She though Calah was really into Kurt until the 4 women were sitting together near the end and Martin said that she and Calah were there for Steven while Amanda and Carolyn were there for Kurt. After the hometown date and the girls' visit to the farm, they all pretty much thought that Steven was the millionaire. She and Steven had talked about possibly living in Kansas City or Nashville. Could she have lived forever in Gallatin? No. But she didn't really see herself as married and raising a family in NYC, either. Annie said that she didn't read Steven's body language very well when she came to him at the finale. Looking back on it and after watching it on TV, she says it was obvious that he was not going to choose her. Steven reached out to her and DM'd just before the finale aired & said that he wished her the best, which she thought was sweet. They have had no other contact. Annie and Carolyn are great friends and watched the finale together. Amanda lives 2 subway stops from her, and the two see each other all the time. Reports that Annie was seeing Tyler Cameron are false: she saw him at a bar once post-show and the two talked for about 5 minutes, at her girlfriends' urging. Annie loved being away from the show, loved having a break from her cell phone, and would gladly be on reality TV again. General feedback from the world has been very positive for Annie, but she also knows not to base her self worth on what strangers on the internet think of her.
Carolyn: Some of the other women on the show had been married before or had been engaged, but she was the only one with a child. She said she was not on the show for a lark, has a business to run and has a son & therefore had no time to waste. Her skin care product has been featured in Vogue and was originally for stretch marks but is now a multi-use product that helps with hyperpigmentation etc., too. She was immediately drawn to Kurt, even before she knew the premise of the show and that there was money involved. After their first date, Kurt told her he was obsessed with her. Carolyn encouraged him to get to know the other women so that he'd be sure with her & their relationship but told him not to rub it in her face--like he ultimately did with Amanda. At the same time, Kurt told Carolyn he did not want her to try to explore anything with Steven. Carolyn said she was constantly having to reassure Kurt. She wanted to see how their relationship would be off camera and didn't feel the need to rush in to anything once filming was done. She told Kurt she could give him 2 weeks per month and was only an hour's flight away, that her mom works in family law and could set up custody parameters if needed, etc. But through it all, Kurt continued to have a problem with the idea of her ex being in their lives. At the finale, she saw that Kurt's eyes were basically glazed over, and she mouthed to him, "What is it". At that moment she knew he wasn't going to pick her. In the house Amanda pitted Carolyn against the other women and eventually apologized for having done so. Carolyn was great friends with the producers & crew. She was heartbroken for 2-3 months after the show ended. When Kurt and Amanda broke up in December, Kurt contacted Carolyn via text, said he had made a huge mistake & that he wanted to rekindle the relationship. They have not seen each other, but there have been a lot of texts. Carolyn was born in the Dominican Republic & lives in Miami. She has managed the properties of people with considerable money, even as a 23 and 25 year-old, and knows how people with money talk and act. Therefore, she knew immediately that Kurt was not the millionaire. Overall, she has no regrets.

Thanks for this!! Was Carolyn warmer and more likable on the podcast than on the show? It's still weird to me that her having a kid was such a big deal.

Carolyn said she was constantly having to reassure Kurt. She wanted to see how their relationship would be off camera and didn't feel the need to rush in to anything once filming was done. Is this the same woman who kept dodging his serious questions and declared his family her "in-laws"? Yeah, no rush there. And I just don't see Amanda pitting the others against her, she probably did that herself. But I wasn't there, so who knows. I wonder if Kurt had a bad experience with an ex/kids in the past?

I KNEW it! I knew he was gonna ring a ding ding Carolyn up after all of this, and if he did tell her that he didn't want her getting that close to Steven while having snit-fits about her ex.....girl, RUN! He should have just picked her in the first place because all he accomplished was some bad will and wasting poor Amanda's time.
Not sure if Amanda was egging it on but there was a lot of hostility towards Carolyn in that house, especially in the beginning. Personally, I never had a problem with Carolyn because I think more people need to be direct about what they want in general. She saw something she liked and went for it, and there was absolutely nothing stopping them from doing the same. The only shady thing she really did was the whole thing with that fake-lipped girl and the coin.
