I really did hope & expect that we'd get further than we did tonight. The show could have cut at least a half hour off the show by cutting all the studio cr*p. Nothing whatsoever was accomplished by that. We didn't need to see or hear the opinions of the previous cast members. They know nothing & their opinions don't matter. Plus Jesse sitting there trying & failing to look like Chris Harrison Lite, was a failure. He's not Chris Harrison & never will be. He's Jesse Palmer & should be trying to make a place for himself, not imitate Chris. I would have much rather gotten further in the story. Maybe tomorrow doesn't have enough stuff, so they had to get some from tonight. This show is a mess. Clay-'un still isn't taking responsibility for his actions. He just keeps trying to pass the blame, mostly on Suzie. His whole bit of having to be "completely honest" is nothing more than him trying to absolve himself of hurting the women. It's like he's bragging about his actions & then dumping responsibility on the women to forgive & accept him since he was "honest". If they don't accept his actions & let it all go, then they are the bad guys for being unforgiving. It's like he feels that if he tells them all the whole ugly unpleasant truth, he's off the hook & is now clean of any blame. What he needs is to take a good hard at himself & admit he screwed up & hurt the women immensely & take the whole blame. Then he needs to ask for forgiveness from the innocent parties. Oh well. We'll see the end & fallout tomorrow, although, at this point I can't see my opinion of him changing. Even if in the end, they all dump him & get together & slap him senseless, then one by one kick him in the nuts, I still won't be satisfied. It would just be more hurt all around. I really just want to see who's chosen for Bachelorette. I haven't been a fan of Gabby at all, all through the season, but tonight she seemed like the one with the most self respect and the least like a doormat. What the heck. Tomorrow it's off to the races again.

Jessie said they announce the bacherlotte tomorrow, and no it isn't who you think it is. How does he know, we're all thinking the same person.

I love his dad. Only good part of the whole show tonight. I wonder what he thinks after getting to watch it?

In regard to Clayton's mother saying her son is a "gem," she should have instead been somewhat appalled by her gem's announcement that he had sex with two different women, one day after another, and when the third refused to be next, he threw a fit and acted like a total abusive jerk. What kind of gem is that, a cheap cubic zirconia? No mother worth the title should let that go without comment. (Of course, we don't know what was edited out of the conversation.) There has to be a reason why Clodton has so little respect for women.

They see the little boy they raised, and all of their good points. They love their little boy and later their grown boy. I've seen mothers look past rotten stuff their son's done many times & defend them saying the son is a "good boy". Even if that stuff landed their son in prison, Mom is there every visitors' day hoping the son will come out the fine upstanding boy that they know he is.

Is it so easy for these women to have sex with this guy just to win the competition? And basically have everyone in world know.

Used to be on this show that we didn't know for sure whether the lead had sex with all three in the fantasy suites, although we could assume that at least some did... and others were either more open about it or the rumor mill was pretty definite: Case in point: Blob. That's the first one I remember. Then there was Sean, who supposedly didn't have sex with any of them. Gradually it became more obvious or openly revealed: Jake, Andi, Nick, Kaitlyn, and Hannah B with her 4 times in the windmill. I'm sure there are more I don't remember. I know I'm old, but it just blows my mind that a guy can sit there with his parents talking about having had sex with two of his finalists, with whom he might or might not be in love, and how upsetting it was that the third one wouldn't go along with the plan, and Mommy doesn't blink an eye no less say anything about it.

I totally thought Mommy gave him the stink eye. It was pretty clear to me through her non-verbal cues that she didn't approve. (But I only saw the clip on YouTube, so I'm sure there was a lot more that I missed.)

Both parents made it very apparent what they thought of all this. Jmho though

So....nearly from the beginning, save the first three seasons (out of 26) of the Bach and one season of the B'ette (18 seasons total) IIRC, Alex Michel kicked off the franchise by sleeping with both Amanda and Trista and it wasn't a big secret.
I don't think anyone has "won" a season simply by sleeping with the lead.
I'm fine with anyone sleeping with anyone else, provided they go into it voluntarily. I'm all for sex positivity. These are single adults and it's 2022. I'll take openly talking about sex vs. hiding it like it's a something shameful any day.
That being said, if Susie had a problem with Clayton sleeping with any other women, that's her prerogative. She also should have said something to him WELL in advance of the overnights. While, yes, he acted like an absolute ass in this whole situation and in many ways, Susie isn't blameless. No one is a mind reader. She should have talked to him and not expected him just to know how she felt.
Oh, and if any viewers think it was a coincidence that Susie's overnight was scheduled last and AFTER she did an ITM about how she felt about Clayton sleeping with the other women, they don't know anything about reality TV. Fleiss and Co LOVE that this season has gotten so much attention and they don't care whose feelings they have to shred.

He shouldn't have thrown a hissy fit that he wasn't getting 3/3 in the FS. He's an ass, and I'm glad she found out in advance of "giving it up".

True; she doesn't owe him an explanation and I'm not defending Clayton. My point is that you don't have the right to be upset at someone violating your boundaries when you don't actually communicate what those are boundaries. I mean, he reacted like a class-a jerk, but she's partly to blame for the situation.
I hate that I'm even remotely defending Clayton. He clearly sucks. HARD. Still, it wasn't all on him.

I believe in the importance of communication, but i don't agree that she should have had to tell that lunkhead that if she was the one he really wanted, that he had no reason to sleep with two other women. The guy was a horny toad and just wanted to screw everyone possible without a voice of reason correcting his thinking or lack thereof. In this case, boundaries = morals that most decent people have.

Susie shouldn't have had to tell him how she felt about what went on in the FS. If he had felt that much for her, he wouldn't have done what he did there. Period.

Now it's a "different" kind of love for each of them. Oy. Someone go find Rachel's missing press-on nail, please. And get her some more tissues. I had to watch these finales while on a work trip! Missed venting with you all!! At the time, I said to a coworker, "I know what she can do with that nail-less finger!" (It was her middle finger that lost the nail, fwiw.) Clayton, this WHOLE time, was so emotionless, so flat, like he couldn't really care any less. It was very strange. He's SUCH a dummy. (Note: I did miss the very first part of the episode, so if he did shed a tear somewhere along the line, or emoted a genuine feeling, I missed it.) But I agree that Gabby, after all the dismissing I did of her, was the one who stole the show that night of the rose ceremony. She was spot-on, nailed it and told him the what-for! I loved it. I wish she hadn't come back to him, but when she did, seeing her and Rachel console each other was so sweet. Oh and speaking of Rachel, when Gabby left, wasn't that hilarious how she stood there with that shocked, questioning stance? We wondered if she was thinking, "Did I just accidentally win?" being the only one left!! And if so, she didn't look that thrilled about it, did she? I think she was so glad Gabby came back. Then Clayton's dad stole the show after that! What a great guy, defending the women and calling out his dumb son. Love that man!! The brothers were cute, and I had no idea one of them was initially recruited for Michelle's season - wow. We really ended up with the booby prize, didn't we? I wondered if Clayton is on the spectrum somewhere. He truly doesn't seem to understand other's feelings at all, doesn't know how to react in social situations it seems, and when he flew off the handle at Susie, he reminded me of students I've had who just lose control. Hmm, just a thought. The whole "who I love the most" has become the catchline, and its ridiculousness is unmatched! What a dumb thing to say. But we're still laughing about it and saying it all the time around here! Again, I go back to -it wasn't the sex, so much as how he claimed he "loved" all of them, and then how he treated Susie, that makes me dislike him. I don't think Gabby especially, and maybe not even Rachel, would've been so upset to know he'd slept with them both, but he basically told them he loved all of them and then was crushed that Susie left. If I were standing there, I'd have felt quite slighted by that right there -- you're CRUSHED to pieces now that she's gone, so now you're stuck with us? If you loved me, or this other girl, so much, why would you be in pieces that someone else left who didn't want you? Pretty obvious. And you weren't being transparent, Clayton, because you didn't tell them you loved Susie the most (thanks Nick, I agree!). Okay, on to night 2....

It never occurred to me that he might be on the spectrum, but your reasoning makes sense. I did feel the same way that he truly doesn't seem to understand the women's feelings at all. I truly believe that he didn't & still doesn't, feel that he did anything wrong & doesn't understand why they all did. He never really owned what he did or admitted that he messed up big time. He did sincerely apologize for hurting their feelings & kept saying he never intended to do that, but he never owned that what he did was wrong. I kept waiting for that but never heard it. What I kept waiting for was for him to say "I'm sorry. I messed up big time. I was selfish & thought only of myself. I should have thought of how my actions & words would affect all of you." Unfortunately, I never got that. Neither did the women. I think this is because he still doesn't realize that what he did was wrong. He's sorry that he hurt them, but still doesn't "get it". The problem wasn't that he "wasn't listening to them", as he said last night, but rather that he didn't bother to think of them or their feelings at all. Just his own. And he can't understand why they had a problem with that.

Clay'un to his family: "I wanted to come here and tell you that I'm in this phenomenal spot and I'm so excited but like, I'm not, like, I'm actually really scared right now, like I'm in a really really bad spot"
