Gabby and Rachel. Thankfully the guys aren't going to be voting on one bachelorette.
Well this will be interesting. Truly something new.
Gabby wants somebody emotionally mature...nice one Gabby...one last dig at Clayton.

Oh, Susie. I'm disappointed. You've seen how he is, that won't change. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

On JM, they did make the girls pick which guy they wanted to pursue. I mean, it took weeks, but it wasn't a situation of them being at the end with both guys in love with the same woman.
If Susie's opened the door to being with Clayton again, I have no sympathy for her. She's a fool and they deserve each other.

Well, that was certainly a mess. This really was the most dramatic Finale ever. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole end of this. All 3 women definitely did give Clay-un what he deserved. That was satisfying. But did he deserve more rejection & humiliation? I don't know. At least Suzie didn't fall into the trap at the Final Rose Ceremony. She stood her ground. After she had a chance to put some time & distance between herself & this mess, she was able to make some decisions with a clearer head. I won't begrudge her that. Even him. I don't begrudge him a chance at happiness either. He got the punishment he deserved. Let him try to move on to a happy life. Maybe they have a chance. I have no idea. I don't really care. Just stay off my TV screen from here on in.
As for the double Bachelorette, OK by me. I'll watch. I didn't hate either one of them & had plenty of sympathy for them. I wish them well.
A few observations: When Rachel was talking to Jesse on stage, she lost the breathy voice, so it was obviously fake & put on. I hope she drops it for the Bachelorette. She's much easier to take this way. As for Gabby, she gained a great deal of respect from me for the way she stood up for herself & wouldn't take his guff, and told it like it is. Both of them dropped the little girl voices. Why do women think that's attractive? Wish we would have gotten to see Clay-un's family tonight. I would have loved to see their reaction to all of this. I liked Rachel's parents reaction to it all, especially the end. There's 2 parents who not only care about, but trust their daughter's decisions. Very supportive at the end.
As to Jesse Palmer, I was totally against him being chosen as Chris's replacement. His season was my last favorite of all of them. He was a sexist self important jerk. Apparently he's grown up with age. He did an excellent job as host, completely against my expectations and even my hopes. Very professional. Empathetic while still authorative. I say Welcome Jesse & more power to him. A great replacement for CH.

So what exactly happened at the end with Susie and Clayton? (I'm not able to watch live.) At the live show, did she agree to date him and see where things go or was there more to it than that?

Spoiler in case someone wants to wait to see it: {Spoiler} Suzie turned him down & went home. At the live show portion, Clay-un said they've been talking & are now seeing each other again. Suzie came out & confirmed this. Then he did the Final Rose thing & she accepted it. No engagement, although Neil Lane was sitting there chomping at the bit.

UGH!!! Was there any explanation on her part about why she was willing to forgive him for being so abusive? When she turned him down in Iceland, did she tell him what an ass he'd been? I have a feeling this is a production manufactured happy ending that won't last for very long and is just meant to help him save face, which he doesn't deserve.

Plus the two girls treated so badly, both become bacherlotte' s.. I thought I might enjoy the finale , but no. I prefer reading the posts on here, it's always so dragged out.

I see a lot of neighborhood kids quick to say they are sorry to adults when they are caught behaving badly as if that excuses everything and then keep on doing what they were doing. That was my impression of Clayton. The Special Snowflake who gets all the participation awards but doesn't really do the work and thinks with a wink and a smile all will be good. Saying you are sorry and keep on doing the same thing means you were not sorry about what you were doing just sorry you got caught. Guaranteed this is a guy who will cheat on his girlfriend or wife and not be there when needed.

Why is a woman as lovely as Susie, and seemingly somewhat intelligent, so desperate as to pull Clayton back in after having the sense to dump him? I'll just pass it off to the inexperience of youth, but this guy has a deep psychological problem (or several) that is not going to be resolved no matter how many conversations they have. If they want this to work, I hope they have the sense to start extended couples counseling, because Clayton was abusive to her, and how is he going to act the next time they have a fight? It's going to be all her fault. Lather, rinse, repeat. He hasn't learned anything. All he said on that stage was that he should have asked more questions. Huh? That's all he did wrong? And there she sat, taking some of the blame when she didn't do anything wrong. Can't put my finger on it, but she looked kind of uncomfortable up there to me, maybe because she expected disapproval from the audience, but maybe she didn't really believe what she was saying. Now that she knows how he treated Gabby and Rachel, is she okay with that? They did nothing wrong, either. I was looking in the audience to see her family's reaction, as well as that of Clayton's parents, but I didn't see anything that looked like happiness or approval. Did they ask Clayton's parents how they felt about it? Her family? I don't remember that. Maybe there was good reason.

I'm not wild about the idea of having two bachelorettes on one season. Its difficult enough watching different issues arise with just one bachelor/ette, let alone two. Two women liking some of the same men there.

Two women liking some of the same men there. This show is so devious. They're making it seem that they're being so kind and generous to both women who were badly treated by their bachelor, while I'm sure they're rubbing their hands with glee coming up with ways to use this to create even more drama and pit the women against each other in some way. Poor Gabby. She says she wants a man who is emotionally intelligent and mature ... as if the show screens contestants for that quality! That would ruin all the fun!

Two bachelorettes will not be that bad the premise worked out quite well on Joe Millinaire: For Richer for Poorer having two Joes.

Two bachelorettes will not be that bad the premise worked out quite well on Joe Millinaire: For Richer for Poorer having two Joes. And those two guys ended up pretty good friends, much like Gabby and Rachel seem to be already. I think it'll work out fine, if they keep their idiotic stunt casting to a minimum and give them a good pool of guys to pick from.

I think it'll work out fine, if they keep their idiotic stunt casting to a minimum and give them a good pool of guys to pick from. And they seem to be pretty level-headed and mentally healthy. When they did the two bachelorette thing last time, I know people were talking about how cruel it was to eliminate one. It ended up being a good thing, because it came out years later that Britt was in a very bad place with her mental and physical health. A whole season of filming could have been disastrous for her. It's rough on people who aren't struggling with their mental health.
OH, an can we talk about how both of these women have actual careers? Nice change of pace.
I never thought Susie was the sharpest knife in the drawer, so I'm not surprised at the season's ending. If she saves any other unsuspecting women from Clayton, that's a win.

Not that they need my approval, but watching this fairly long People video of them made me feel a lot better about their relationship. She seems like a pretty empowered woman, actually, and she talks at one point about how she wasn't at all OK with the way he treated her on that fantasy suite night. She said that they had to work that through and that when they've argued since then she hasn't seen that side of him come out again. (There's a lot more about it, but I can't remember it to write it here.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQ_biX9iZc8

I think it'll work out fine, if they keep their idiotic stunt casting to a minimum and give them a good pool of guys to pick from.I think we can pretty much know that that isn't going to happen. That is what they do. Simply by having two bettes, it is stunt casting and it will only go down from there. Get ready for some pilots. (Maybe Pistol Pete and his mama can make a return.) Maybe some doctors or male nurses. Some guy who is torn between the two and will cry up a storm and some jerk who will toy with them by pitting them against one another for his affections. Naturally they will be warned, they will ignore said warnings, but eventually will have a moment of clarity and women empowerment where they will turf him out. They did two Bette's in New Zealand and in Australia (two sisters). They had some drama because a few of the guys couldn't make up their minds of who they were into, but it wasn't all that crazy. In NZ one Bette picked a final guy and they were together for a while, but eventually broke up. The other woman didn't pick anyone and left on her own. I enjoyed that season because the cast was good, not crazy drama and it was filmed in Argentina. The Aussie season was a disaster. A former cast member dragged her sister into it. Neither was a popular or engaging lead, the guys weren't into them and even though both picked guys, everyone broke up super quick. Not a huge amount of drama and a forgettable cast. Boring. I can't imagine Fleiss letting his signature US show be like either of those or like JM. That wasn't enough drama and none of those shows have FDs. I fully expect them to fight over at least one guy. There will be tears and they will question their friendship. I expect at least Gabby to sleep with multiple people and make the same mistakes Clayton did so that she can fully learn the error of her ways and sympathize with him. Racheal, I suspect will have more trust issues and more tears and may be more sensitive to the guys, but I wouldn't be surprised if she too, fell into the same traps as Clayton did. (Maybe one will sleep with multiple guys...Gabby...and Rachael will tell multiple guys ILY.) I don't care how happy Clayton and Susie are at the moment. I just can't get behind these two. It was torture watching this whole season and the ending did nothing to fix it for me. It was nasty, unnecessary and totally manipulated from start to finish. Maybe the fact that I enjoyed JM so much makes me hate this season like no other. Good luck to them. They will need it.

I'd rather focus on one relationship from this show at a time.

I read in an interview, she said he never lied to or deceived any of the women. Did she see that RC when only Gabby and Rachel were left? Plus, he said at ATFR (which was actually before the FR) that his mistake was not asking enough questions. He thinks that's all he did wrong?! What questions does he think he should have asked? "Is it okay with you if i tell you all that I'm in love with you?" "Is it okay if I take you all for a test drive in the bedroom?" "Gabby and Rachel, is it okay if I hide from you the fact that Susie was the one I loved the most?" He's an idiot, and it's a shame that she thinks he's the best guy she can find.
