www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/tv/a20982454/bachelorette-garrett-yrigoyan-instagram-likes-becca-kufrin/To those who I have hurt and offended: This is all new to me. I went on the Bachelorette for the adventure and possibility of falling in love, not fame. I did not know what to expect once the show aired. I am sorry to those who I offended, and I also take full responsibility for my "likes" on Instagram that were hurtful and offensive. garrett_yrigs12 was my former Instagram handle and I decided to take it down and start fresh because I have learned an extremely valuable lesson and am taking steps to grow, become more educated, and be a better version of myself. I am not perfect, and I will never be anywhere close, but now I will always be more informed and aware of what I am liking and supporting, not just on Instagram, but in life. I never realized the power behind a mindless double tap on Instagram and how it bears so much weight on people's lives. I did not mean any harm by any of it. My Instagram "likes" were not a true reflection of me and my morals. I am not the negative labels people are associating me with. For those who do know me, I am a sincere, genuine, loving, light-hearted, open minded and non-judgmental individual. I like to make new friends with anyone I need and want everyone to find their happiness. I love to laugh often and enjoy seeing others do the same. I hope that some day you can get to know the real me and the man that I am. Let my mistakes be a lesson for those who mindlessly double tap images, memes, and videos on any social media content that could be many things including hurtful, degrading, and dehumanizing. I do not want my social media to define who I am, and I will take better care moving forward to support all walks of life. Again, I sincerely apologize and am sorry for any hurt, damage, or offense I may have caused. Garrett Yrigoyan Like everyone, he's sorry he got caught! I think he's the F2. I'd have to

I have done stupid things when I was younger. Was I sorry I got caught? Indeed, yes I was. Did I learn from what I did wrong? Was I smart enough to learn a lesson? Indeed, I was! Do I care if those people from that time condemn me? ...maybe. However, they were making mistakes of their own kind - just not my mistakes.
I haven't made his mistakes. I made my own mistakes. I am fortunate my mistakes have not been made public for the whole world to see.
I am going to give him a break. Maybe he did learn from his mistakes as I did.
I am not going to be the one to cast a stone at him.
I chose my husband.
She can choose hers.

I didn't care for him before all this, so imho her choice still sucks.. I particually didnt care for his liking the little boys picture, but that's me..

She was on The View earlier this week and no mention of anything because her lips are sealed until the Finale as always with The Bachelor/ette.

He got caught and he had say something to get himself out of hot water. What better way to spin it than being all contrite about how he made a mistake, learned his lesson, and turned his attitude around in a complete 180... and all in the past few weeks since he was exposed as a bigot. Not buying it. I'll be greatly disappointed in Becca if he's F1. She's supposed to be looking for a father for her children as well as a soulmate.

I have to say that I agree with what Bloomers said. I hope we can all move on from this and just enjoy the "journey", whatever it may be! It shouldn't matter if we are liberals, conservatives, Christians, atheists, or whatever. That has nothing to do with the show. We shouldn't be judging when we don't know any of these people, imho. Now I am going back to lurking...

First Welcome to janidav!!! Love having you posting instead of I agree with you and love the post from Bloomers! I believe Garrett is her F1 and Blake is her F2. But, haven't recently checked with RS, so that may have changed. If photos have surfaced to the contrary, I apologize for my blunder. FannyMare: This is certainly a page out UnReal!!!! If I was a conspiracy believer, I would probably say the Bachelor franchise new beforehand, and chose Bachelor Garrett on purpose for the publicity, so that he would be this years "Hook". I abhor what he said, but as Bloomers said, I've made mistakes that I have regretted, as well.

Not only have I made mistakes & regretted them, but I've said things I regretted & truly wish I could unsay them. Sometimes they were just stupid things that were taken differently from what I intended. Sometimes they were somewhat rude things I shouldn't have said & never intended to hurt someone with. I refer to this as "Sometimes we open our mouths & stupid falls out". We've all done it at one time or another. Thank God mine haven't been racist or bigoted. That is, unless someone took them some way I never ever intended.
What Garrett "liked" and followed looks pretty cut & dried awful. But maybe he just thoughtlessly clicked on something that made him chuckle a bit, the same as a tacky tasteless demeaning dirty joke could make us chuckle even though we recognize how horrid it is. I've known really nice guys who've had that "stupid falls out" thing happen to them big time, but they don't really want to hurt anyone & they apologize for bad judgement. It just happened.
Personally my Jerk Watch is running big time on this guy. But what he does/says from this point forward will show the type of guy he really is inside. It's not looking good, but I say give him time. He'll either redeem himself or bury himself in slime.

Maybe they didn't expect this guy to end up with the prize..LOL Yes, we have all made mistakes, but I did qualify what I said, I didn't care for him before all this was exposed..so I don't care if he is really sorry, or sorry stuff was caught. jmho though... maybe he'll grow on me, like moss..

I didn't'care for him either-- his cut and dried vision of a future-- which looked a lot like the most conventional possible-- is not mine. I wasn't particularly engaged by his looks either. Frankly, few of Becca's choices seemed particularly interesting. Must say something about how they view her and her own ambitions in life and taste in men-- also clearly not mine.
You can grow from your mistakes-- but not overnight, when you're expose publicly espousing racist and other offensive views--and you need to come up with an excuse post haste. Change is hard and takes a lot of work. He's not going to grow on me, though, because I was sufficiently turned off by the whole thing that it honestly was making me a bit sick to think that she chose this guy.

Well said, and while I've admitted to doing wrong, I never thought homophobic or putting down anything transgender was fun. That's not something I would have liked, as Garrett did, Imnsho, that's a way of thinking, that would disturb me. Becca seemed to defend that...

That guy Rachel picked? Everything in me yelled, "Smarmy!" from the Meet and Greet when he was all over her and basically deep kissing her in a way I thought, "Yikes!"; he needed to have known her longer than "Hello!" My sense was that he was insincere, and I have not been very wrong on this entire series too many times - in my own life, yes, but on this show where we watch all of this play out step by step as by standers - and with spoilers, sometimes with a good gracious amount of inside info, no. Moreover, I would not have been too surprised if she got out in the real world, and that one fell apart.
However, she knew what she wanted, and for good or bad, she wanted Bryan. Like Jillian who chose Ed against what everyone wanted for her and advised and rode it out for a year until it crumbled around her, she chose what she wanted. In the real world we are all given that same chance.
Becca has had her heart ripped out thoroughly at least once by Arie - and maybe by that guy before him. I think she is going to tread carefully. She will be able to tell what is in this guy's heart. What does he really believe - was he in a hurry on some of it and just carelessly clicked without really even paying attention to what he was really doing?

Saw on one of the morning shows a photo of Becca with Grocery Joe in Bloomingdales, Chicago. He's wearing what looks like boxer shorts with a watermelon print. Wonder what that's about. They just met by coincidence? In the men's undies department? He's really cute and has a great smile.

Carly was on how many times? Derek and Taylor, no sign of wedding date.. The show is just so scuzzy, Joe could do better...

Thanks for finding the photo, Mikesgirl. He looks amazing! Now I see those are swim trunks, not undies, lol. He's too good for BIP. Hope he finds a great gal quickly and doesn't get involved in all the drama and stupidity. Can't stand that show.

From the segment it was quite obvious sooo many women had let them know one way or the other they thought he was really nice looking and a good one. Becca seemed to be fumbling around a bit trying to come up with an explanation why she axed him the first night. He wasn't on long enough to be considered for the next Bachelor, so maybe the only thing they thought they could do is to put him put Bachelor in Paradise?

I think it would be a nice departure from tradition, as well as an attention-getter, to at least keep Joe in mind because he apparently has made a huge impression. Why does it always have to be someone in the top 4? Can't you just imagine the promos? "Our new Bachelor is someone we only saw on-screen for 5 minutes because Becca let him go the first night, but never has there been such a clamor from thousands of viewers who want him back!" If Blake is the F2, he might not even be as popular as Joe, and IMO -- excuse my superficiality -- he is not as hunky as Joe by a long shot, plus he seems sweet and sincere.

Well, I am still crushing on Joe, but really have no clue what he is like, because he is off the show. At least, with him going on BIP (if he doesn't get snatched by someone before then); I have a chance to find out more about his personality. Who knows, maybe it was the best thing that could happen to him? Maybe, he will be a future Bachelor if the public gets to know him, and likes him. But, I doubt it. Ben Z was a fan fave, but never met anyone on BIP, and probably no longer has a chance of being The Bachelor now. So, sometimes it just doesn't work out.
This isn't the thread to discuss BIP, but I have never cared for the show, or the style. I have usually watched, because the show is such a joke, however, I have enjoyed a few people actually finding romance. In those few cases, they were nice people, who despite not really "belonging" there, found a relationship.

So, David is the one that falls out of a bunk bed, breaking his nose and suffering a concussion. I guess that explains why he was seen in the previews wearing just underwear. (I'm guessing he was sound asleep and rolled over in what he thought was his bed, but ended on the floor.)
At least we know from Becca, he has recovered from the injury.
