I agree! I love Horacio and Olivia and just love the addition of Love Island people to The Challenge. I've never watched Love Island, but I'm glad to see new faces! I love Olivia & Horacio so far! I wish MTV would quit stacking it so hard with vets. Some of these people are (or should be) at the end of their Challenge careers. We need new people to get to know & to root for (or against, lol).

Surprisingly the ladies from Love Island were a great addition to the Challenge. Still can't stand the Big Brother folks they bring nothing to the table as most have no personality or charisma. We are getting the same results on Challenge 38. Secretly rooting for Horacio and Olivia.

I love BB, but the people they've casted from it have been as bland as cardboard, except for Josh. Even though he's annoying, he does have a personality, even if it's a grating one. There are tons of BB alumni with lots of personality, but MTV doesn't cast them for whatever reason. Well, Bayleigh has a personality too. It's a bitchy one, but it's a personality. And she's a good competitor. She made it to the final on the only season they cast her on. When CBS had The Challenge USA on, I think most of the BB alumni they cast were good (Tiffany, Alyssa, Kyland, Angela, Derek X, & Xavier). I saw a whole new side of Alyssa that I didn't get to see when she was on BB, & I liked her a lot more for it. I wish they would cast those same ones (minus Xavier, he's pretty bland, plus he has an actual career as an attorney, so I doubt he wants to make a career out of The Challenge) on the flagship. Angela is a really good competitor too. She doesn't have a lot of personality, but she is a comp beast & I'm here for it!

I am watching The Amazing Race and Derek X from Big Brother and The Challenge USA is on and he is really funny and I would like to see him on a regular Challenge season. He has the same kind of vibe as Horacio. I personally think Josh is an idiot and the trifecta of Kaycee, Josh, and Fessy is too much. I do wonder how Josh would be if he was on a season without Kaycee and Fessy? Bayleigh was a spoiled rich kid and very entitled. Glad she is gone. Xavier was bland. It was funny as a BB winner coming on to The Challenge USA he expected the other BB alum to simply follow along and do as he told them. He was pissed when he got thrown into elimination and lost.

Season 38 Episode 5 - "Get Rich or Ride or Die Tryin'" - November 9, 2022 With 12 teams left, 5 of those teams are vet vet pairings which include the 3 late entries, 5 teams of vet rookie pairings, and 2 teams of rookie rookie pairings, Michele makes one of the dumbest moves ever in the game that brings her and Jay nothing in terms of strategy or gamesmanship. This could have been a huge historical power move that would have gutted the vets but instead leaves a viewer scratching their head and wondering what the heck happened? Instead of weakening the vets, another rookie rookie team is eliminated.
BTW not impressed at all with Jakk's athletic abilities.
Funniest scene: Moriah trying to row a boat.
Power Move Rating: Worst Power Move in the history of The Challenge. Michele and Jay will now and forever be known in the Challenge House as "Dumb and Dumber" and that is saying a lot with intellectuals such a Nelson and Tommy as castmates

OMG, such an idiot move by Michelle! Jay tells her he’ll let her decide because she’s better at it than him. What? Noooo, Jay! Jay wanted to put vets in, which is exactly what they should’ve done. I lost a ton of respect for Michelle after that idiotic move, & she & Jay initially were a team I was excited to see come back.
Stupid, stupidl, stupid! And we lost a great team because of it. I hope Kim & Colleen are invited back again. They were fun to watch.

This is the first time I’ve seen Laurel on The Challenge. Dang! Her stone cold face during the “interrogation” with Michelle & Jay was intense! She seems like a beast, and I’m surprised Michelle didn’t crumble right then and there lol. Dumb & dumber is a great description of Jay & Michelle in power this episode

How STUPID! I really liked Jay and Michelle before this, but man, that was so dumb. I thought Michelle was much smarter than that, but she was rolling around with Faysal, so there is that. And I felt really badly for Jakk to feel so betrayed.
I hope Kim and Colleen are asked back too, I could have watched the whole hour of him rowing. And omg, Moriah??? She has used a row machine before, but still couldn't figure it out. Lol.
Can't wait for Laurel and Jakk to make things very uncomfortable for Jay and Michelle.

Of the 12 teams there were only 5 vet/vet pairings. With M&J winning the daily challenge this was the perfect time for them to throw in as many of the vet/vet teams as possible such as Bananas & Nany, Kaycee & Kenny (Yes, I know not a vet), Devin & Tori, Aneesa & Jordan. Bananas is a 7 time champion. Kaycee is the current female champions from the previous season and is in a relationship with Nany, Bananas partner. Tori vs Aneesa again in an elimination who wouldn't want to see that. Any way you look at it a champion, or a vet who has been in a final will go home and the possibility of breaking hearts, messing with friendships is endless. Why would you not do this? If nothing else it is an EPIC Moment and a guarantee to have production call you back for another season.

He should’ve never let Michelle make unilateral decisions that affect both of them, because now he’s on everyone’s sh*tlist because of Michelle’s idiotic decision making. But every time Jay’s been on the Challenge, he’s pretty much shown he’s not very bright. I love the guy because of when he was on Survivor (& I didn’t like him initially IIRC, but he grew on me), but he’s not coming across as strategic at all! C’mon man!

Kind of chuckled seeing another of Fessy's cuddle buddies get eliminated. I guess since he's not doing much in the daily challenges, they have to focus on his love life. Wonder who he sets his sights on next Jay & Michelle better keep winning. They just keep pissing off more and more teams.

Nany's mother died October 28, 2021. The Challenge 38 was filmed March thru April 2022. OK that's 5 months after her mom's passing. That's enough time to get your head in the game. The impression I got from the show was that Nany's mom had just passed right before filming this makes more sense.

Season 38 Episode 6 - "Come Michele or High Water" - November 16, 2022
The Michele and Jay Chaos and Mess Show continues.
Liked the Daily Challenge. I am not a Laurel fan but it seems she is underperforming on this season as she was the only person not to find the second bag. Her partner Jakk has not impressed at all with his athletic performance and I find him very hateful in his comments to Jay, and I am not a Jay fan and his political game is a mess.
Where is Fessy in all of this? He only surfaces when production is doing a "who is in whose bed" session. Wasn't it icky when he asked Laurel if Horacio hugged her like he did. Jealous a smidge, Fessy?
Darrell and Veronica had all five words for the puzzle but Veronica insisted that production would not use the foreign word "amigo" so they didn't use it.
Rumors are that Bananas was trying to throw the daily. Some suggest he has a secret alliance with Jay.
The teams Michele and Jay picked to go into interrogation are the teams they should have picked last episode. Rumor again says M&J had a secret deal to save B&N last episode but they couldn't do it again. One of Bananas confessionals kind of confirms this.
At this point in the game there are 11 teams left.
All Vet Teams: 1. Aneesa & Jordan 2. Bananas & Nany 3. Darrell & Veronica 4. Devin & Tori 5. Jay & Michele
All Vet/Rookie Teams: 1. Amber & Chauncey 2. Faysal & Moriah 3. Kaycee & Kenny 4. Nelson & Nurys 5. Jakk & Laurel
All Rookie/Rookie Teams: 1. Horacio & Olivia
I think Michele has way too many deals going on. They picked Bananas & Nany, Aneesa & Jordan, Kaycee & Kenny, Jakk & Laurel. I really expected to see Jakk & Laurel be picked for elimination but Jordan made Jay loose his temper. Jordan is not afraid of elimination and I think he can beat Bananas, Kenny, or Jakk easily. Larel's head was not in the game. I not sorry she is hurting as she has been a total mean girl to many people and she is a ruthless competitor. Hopefully, she will learn a lesson of what it is like to be that vulnerable.
Personally I would have loved to have seen Bananas & Nany vs Kaycee & Kenny or Aneesa & Jordan vs Tori & Devin.

Season 38 Episode 7 - "Deep Web" - November 23, 2022
This episode should have been called "Big Egos".
I just saw Devin blow up his game. How? By attacking an ally, in this case Michele. Where are the rules of being an ally codified? Devin really expects Michele to nip Amber from talking about him negatively. Dude, if Michele did that then Amber would absolutely know Michele was working with Devin. Devin needed to keep quiet but his EGO and PRIDE can't take it.
The fall out of all this EGO and PRIDE is that Bananas and Nany have again been saved from elimination, and to be honest I am started to suspect production is telling Bananas where the "SAFE" dagger is located. The Power Teams in episode 5, 6, and 7 who are Michele & Jay, and Nelson and Nurys had 3 chances to put in B&N and didn't. Bananas is not known for being and elimination powerhouse and neither is Nany. It is crazy to not take this opportunity.
Why do teams think they have a free ride? What was Chauncey doing telling Jordan he would ride with him? Does Chauncey even tell Amber he is doing that?
What a mess.
Amber goes all paranoid. To be honest based on puzzles and math Amber and Chauncey will have a very difficult time in a final. Based on cardio alone Darrell and Veronica and Aneesa and Jordan will never win a final. It just blows my mind players can't get out of the way of their egos and pride and take out Bananas and Nany. By the way Nany threatening someone who can put you into elimination is not a good game move.
I am really liking Nurys, she is a great partner for Nelson.
I am at the point I want to see Nelson and Nurys win.

I do have to say, his gaslighting of Michelle in front of everyone showed some major devious skill. He knows just the right buttons to push. I also am starting to suspect TPTB helping out Bananas and Nany lol. Both Nany and Kaycee (and their partners) seem to have a huge advantage. They each have partners to work with like everyone else, but they also have each other. The two of them together are being considered in a lot of the discussion in deciding which four to put in, etc. This just makes it even crazier that those in power keep avoiding putting them into elimination. Take the chance while you have it! Amber does tend to be paranoid and emotional. I do find myself kind of pulling for her now and then, I think because she often seems like an underdog. She seems to be left out of some of the alliances that she’d like to be a part of. Not saying that she isn’t doing stuff (that we don’t get to see) that makes some of the players not want to play with her, but she reminds me of a kid at school wanting to be a part of the “cooler kids” and they don’t want her. I don’t think she and Chauncey will get much further mostly because he doesn’t seem to be doing much in the physical or puzzle challenges.

Nurys is an incredible player; she has both brains and athletic ability. I am I wrong to say that I think Nelson can benefit from some help in the brains department?
I tend to like Amber too, since she always seems to be trusting people, and they put a knife in her back. But everyone seems to say she is untrustworthy, so that has to come from somewhere. Also, I keep forgetting that Faysal is in the game, so quiet. I'm surprised no one has thrown him in.
Olivia had me cracking up. I LOVE her!!!! So happy they are squeaking by as the only rookie/rookie pair.

Michele is low on the totem pole and no one likes Amber so they are aligning with the rookies. This is not the first time I have heard that Aneesa and Tori don't talk to the rookies. Maybe they don't mean too but it reeks of junior high mean girls. I totally agree with you about Nurys. I really think N&N can win this season if Nelson would allow Nurys to be the brains and decision maker for the Draw and Elimination. Also impressed with Olivia, Ravyn too but her partner screwed up that team. The casting director did an incredible job finding really good females this season. Does Michele come across to you as having no personality?

Michele comes off as super high-strung. Maybe if she chilled a little, we could tell who she was a little better.

I listen to the MTV Official Podcast. It is free, you can listen to it on your PC/laptop/cell on YouTube or download Spotify on your phone and again listen to it for free.
Right now Aneesa, Tori, Da'vonne, and Devynne are hosting the Untold Story episodes. They all tend to be very cheery and very positive to all of their guests and don't say any catty or negative comments. At times it is a bit too syrupy but there are a lot of negative podcasters out there and you have to balance what you listen to. You do get some nice tidbits of information and stuff that explains "what the heck just happened" or "why the heck did they do that". However you do have to bite your tongue a lot because all the guests always gust about what a great competitor Aneesa is. I did like the comment from Da'vonne who said that Nany was "hard" to get to know as she wears that she has been on the show 11 seasons and that everyone needs to respect her.
Tori did let slip that Aneesa did do something unexpected on Season 38 though.
I do wish Da'vonne would go to a speech therapist because she always sounds as if she is yelling and after a while it just sounds as if she is screeching. It starts to hurt the ears and makes it hard to understand her.

Listening to the MTV Official Podcast Challenge 38 Episode 2 - guest Bananas
Aneesa & Tori asked Bananas if he and Nany win the final and there was a choice of taking the money from Nany like he did to Sarah Rice would he?
Bananas response is why does everyone think I steal money from everyone? "The only person I ever stole money from was a person who basically stole money from me".
This is such utter BS. All Sarah Rice ever did was put Bananas in an elimination to potentially eliminate a strong competitor from the game. How is that stealing money from you? Being in elimination means you have a 50/50 chance of winning and getting back in the game. Even Bananas podcast mentor Bill Simmons say that Sarah stole the money from Bananas. I have seen Bananas backstab, break promises, even throw Nany into elimination because his girlfriend did not want him saving Nany. Why is it OK for Bananas to do that, but not Sarah?
Everyone lauds Bananas for this, because one lone female had the ovaries to do what other big bad dudes couldn't do and give herself the opportunity to win and that translates to Sarah stealing Bananas money. If this is even remotely true you are also suggesting that the game is rigged and Bananas knew he was going to win and get the money.
TJ even said in the Untold History that what Bananas did to Sarah was disgusting.

Season 38 Episode 8 - "Born to Ride or Die" - November 30, 2022
OMG ... for the love of The Challenge can someone kick Nelly in the head for continuing to make stupid decisions. Let Nurys make the decisions. Some needs to tell Nelly what to do. It didn't matter who was thrown into elimination the house was going to help them win against Michele and Jay.
I was so angry by the time the elimination came as I already knew who was going in and who was winning. Not spoilers, but the long extended trailer for this season and even the opening credits where you see the cars for the daily, you see O&H carrying a stretcher with tires on it for a future daily which we have yet to see and a shot of Horacio in the black and yellow spinner. Duh!
But was worst is that Nelly saved Fessy. OMG this is the payback you need to give to Fessy and than you are even. It is a game and you need to be cutthroat. This season with Nurys as a partner is the best shot Nelly has in a long time to win and I see him giving it away. Fessy would not have done that for you.
It is a bit much to listen to Bananas and Nany constantly crow about how the rookies don't know how to play the game they need to learn. That Johnny of Johnny and Ravyn was incredibly stupid to tell the entire cast what his plans were when he explained why he picked who he sent into the Draw. Nany comes across so entitled as a vet. (All of this I get from The MTV Official Podcast and Death, Taxes, and Bananas Podcast.)
Does Nany feel betrayed now that Michele has stated her love for Amber when only a little while ago Michele confessed her deepfelt love for Nany?
Remaining Teams:
Vet/Vet
Bananas & Nany Devin & Tori Aneesa & Jordan - I put Aneesa & Jordan last because while this team could politically make it to the final there is no chance of them winning.
Vet/Rookie
Amber & Chauncey Faysal & Moriah Kaycee & Kenny Nelson & Nurys - Nelson's poor decision making has left 4 Challenge Champions in the mix as well as 5 vets who have made it to multiple finals.
Rookie/Rookie
Olivia & Horacio
The top three teams at the moment are Bananas & Nany, Devin & Tori, Nelson & Nurys.
The next tier is Amber & Chauncey, Faysal & Moriah, Kaycee & Kenny. A&C can't do math or puzzles, Fessy doesn't well with a partner and this team has truly not been tested, Kenny seems an anchor for Kaycee.
The tier after that is reserved for Aneesa and Jordan.
Wildcard - Olivia and Horacio - I truly do think this team has a shot at the win.

(All of this I get from The MTV Official Podcast and Death, Taxes, and Bananas Podcast.) Does Nany feel betrayed now that Michele has stated her love for Amber when only a little while ago Michele confessed her deepfelt love for Nany? Remaining Teams: Vet/Vet Bananas & Nany Devin & Tori Aneesa & Jordan - I put Aneesa & Jordan last because while this team could politically make it to the final there is no chance of them winning. Vet/Rookie Amber & Chauncey Faysal & Moriah Kaycee & Kenny Nelson & Nurys - Nelson's poor decision making has left 4 Challenge Champions in the mix as well as 5 vets who have made it to multiple finals. Rookie/Rookie Olivia & Horacio The top three teams at the moment are Bananas & Nany, Devin & Tori, Nelson & Nurys. OMG, yes Nelson is an idiot for not throwing Fessy in! Wouldv'e been a perfect time for a payback! But even though I love Jay (Michele is OK, but I don't really care about her either way), I was glad they went home because they were just going to keep getting thrown in every week, & I don't want to see that. I'm so tired of the vets all protecting each other, especially when it's not in their best interest. Get out the big threats! Get out Bananas, get out Jordan (although if he makes it to the end, Aneesa is an anchor around his neck)...ugh. I'm really over Nany this season. She's trying to act like she's such a badass & she is so NOT. And I've been sick of Aneesa for years. I'm beyond sick of hearing her & some others saying she's due for a win. AS IF! She comes back every season in worse shape than she was the previous season. Just because she's played 875962 seasons doesn't mean she "deserves" a win. Get in shape. Work for it. Earn it. I'm not as irritated about Nany & others saying she's due for a win because she is a decent competitor & is in shape & has made it to several finals. Aneesa hasn't been in a final since the stone age, back when the game was much easier to play. The times have changed, but she hasn't done anything to keep up with them. Both Nany & Aneesa got paired with beasts who can & have won, & I think that's exactly why they were paired with them. It will probably help Nany, but regardless of who Aneesa is paired with, she will never win a final because she is out of shape & has zero endurance. I want to gag when the players praise how great Aneesa is. I really can't stand her. Her time has come & gone, it's time to hang it up & retire. Please, do us all a favor, I beg of you.
