Love Island is done on CBS, but has been picked up for 2 seasons by the Peacock streaming service. -------------- ‘Love Island’ Moves From CBS To Peacock With Two-Season Order - Deadline By Peter White February 23, 2022 10:30am The sexy singletons are heading to Peacock. Love Island, the dating format based on the British smash hit, is moving from CBS to Peacock. The NBCUniversal streamer has given the series, which comes from ITV America, a two-season, 80-episode order. It comes after the youth-skewing series ran for three seasons on CBS. Although it’s not unprecedented for unscripted formats to move networks – American Idol, for instance, moved from Fox to ABC – it is still unusual, particularly for a show that had not been canceled at its original home. Deadline understands that for the show to move forward, CBS required the format to be retooled given its prevalence on its summer schedule. With the network unwilling to commit to the same number of episodes, producers ITV America took it out and landed a bumper order with NBCU. The show will begin on Peacock this summer with a season shot in California. It’s not clear whether host Arielle Vandenberg and narrator Matt Hoffman will remain on the show. The streamer promised that “multiple episodes” will debut “weekly in real time” as a new group of singles search for love in a beautiful villa. It has also said that the contestants will compete in “naughtier” games and “steamier” challenges. The series is produced by ITV America’s ITV Entertainment and based on a format owned by ITV Studios and Motion Content Group. It is based on the ITV2 hit, which has spawned seven seasons since it was retooled in 2015. Love Island was always a tricky show for CBS; the first season performed moderately and was brought back for a second season, which was postponed as a result of Covid-19. It was subsequently moved from Fiji to Las Vegas with a third season filmed in Hawaii. While it brought in a younger audience for the network, it never replicated the success of its British counterpart and may well be better suited for a streaming service. CBS itself has had recent history of taking on a show from a previous network; it ran Tiffany Haddish’s Kids Say the Darndest Things, which previously aired on ABC, for one season with no plans for it to return. The network has also been bolstering its own unscripted pipeline; Deadline revealed Tuesday that it had ordered musical spectacle-turned-game show Superfan and it has Come Dance With Me, exec produced by LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell coming up alongside its staple of evergreen shows such as The Amazing Race, Big Brother and Survivor. “As we continue to make Peacock a destination for must-watch original programming, partnering with a global powerhouse like ITV enables us to build on their internationally beloved formats to attract all new fans to the platform,” said Susan Rovner, Chairman Entertainment Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. Sarah Hyland, one of the stars of ABC’s long-running sitcom Modern Family, has signed on to host Peacock’s new take on Love Island USA. Hyland replaces Arielle Vandenberg, who hosted the first three seasons on CBS. She will be joined by British comedian Iain Stirling as narrator. Stirling voices the British series with a cutting charm. It comes after Peacock handed the show, which is based on the breakout ITV2 format, a two season, 80-episode order. It is the latest non-scripted hosting gig for Hyland, who fronts Play-Doh Squished for Amazon’s Freevee. Hyland is also set to star in Peacock’s Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin. Peacock’s new take on the dating series, which sees a group of singletons mix it up as they look for love, will launch on July 19 with six episode drops per week. This season will film in a villa in California, having previously been in locations including Hawaii, Fiji and Las Vegas. |

Bummer I don’t have Peacock. This was my summer show. I gave up on Big Brother a long time ago. It was also showing on the USA network tonight. I was surprised to see it when I was just browsing the cable guide, but clicked on it and sure enough, there was Sarah Hyland and the new contestants. I didn't watch it yet, though, because I tuned in late and wanted to catch the entire episode, not just the ending. It's a long episode too! Then tomorrow, it looks like they are airing it on E! - and it says Season 4, Episode 1. I wonder if it's just to get people onboard with the season, so they go to Peacock + and sign up for the rest? |

Yes, Girly18 I just caught up with all the episodes! What do you think so far? First of all, don't you LOVE that they got the narrator from the UK to do ours? That guy completely cracks me up!  Our old one was good too, but this guy is amazing. It's truly my favorite part of the whole show! hahaha The house is super cool, and I like Sarah Hyland (though she did seem nervous). Now, the contestants.... I think Jesse is very good looking, but I'm wondering if he's not quite the sharpest knife in the drawer. He just says whatever he thinks people want to hear. And with Val, he'd throw in some f-bombs too, to come across bad-a$$ to her maybe? The way he spoke about Deb and Val made it seem like he thought he could keep both of them and wouldn't have to make a choice. ? In the end, Deb's happy with him so we'll see how it goes. Courtney is another one who doesn't seem very smart (sorry!). She's the Great Value brand of Cely. She's very pretty, but those fake boobs look extremely fake and hard, and she's just hot for Felipe. I don't think either of them care one whit about getting to know one another, they just want to make out. He's coming off as clearly a player. Maybe he intended to go on F-boy Island and is lost?? Andy the mama's boy did a major faux pas tonight, coupling up with Sydney without telling either partner that it was a possibility. He says he was fine with Mady (very pretty girl, but slow to warm up), so he's interested in getting to know Sydney (yeah right ... get to know her physically I'm sure!). I really can't understand why the girls do all that to their bodies and faces: Sydney's lips look almost painful they're so poufy. She is really not attractive with such huge lips! I guess that's why Deb comes off as the most natural, because she's got thinner lips and a normal chest. Her hair? Well, there's that. Her screaming and the voice she uses sometimes is annoying, but she's okay. And all the girls play with their extensions, it seems! I have long hair, and I NEVER grab it and twirl it and hold it like they do, so theirs must be fake and they're not used to it. Tyler -- oh man, that guy is hot! Not only does he look similar to Brad Pitt, his voice really sounds like Brad's too. He is very good looking, and if I were on that island, I'd be going for him for sure. I thought Sereniti was rude to Val when she came back from her beach date with Tyler, saying in front of Val how he said he saved the best for the last date, etc. That and how she pouted earlier and even admitted she's not a good sport, makes me hesitant about her. Tyler may have his hands full with that one in the long run. Timmy and Zeta are cute together. I like her accent (reminds me of the UK version I watched!). Timmy came off arrogant at first, but the more I see him the more I like him. Isaiah reminds me of Shannon's guy (can't remember his name, the guy whose sister died and they had to leave.), in looks, but this guy seems like such a player. He thinks he's hot and was kind of a jerk. Two more people coming in tomorrow!! |

Yes, love they have the UK narrator! I wasn’t sure how Sarah Hyland was going to be but she did a pretty good job so far. The lips, the bleach, the fake boobs, the extensions are a lot in this house! Jesse is definitely Mr. Smooth. His head will be turned so quick soon. Courtney is for sure the clearance version of Cely. That fake flame with Felipe will be blown out soon enough. From her profile “….Courtney admittedly has had 19 plastic surgeries.” She is only 24! I didn’t mind the blindside from Andy. We don’t get many on Love Island since the house makes those silly rules on giving someone a heads up if they want to steal their partner. You can have Tyler and I’ll take Felipe. Based on just looks, he is what I tend to go for. I’d lock Courtney out of the house for a little some of him. Not feeling Sereniti so far. I really liked Valerie’s happy go lucky personality. Her smile was infectious. Good luck to her. I didn’t think Timmy was going to be man enough for Zeta. But they are cute! You are thinking of Josh as Isaiah look alike. |

^ Yes! Josh! To me, there's a resemblance.   19 surgeries? Holy cow! I mean, it's worked because she's very pretty, but that is just too much and it makes me sad that she felt she needed to do that. And yeah, she and Felipe won't be a long-term couple, I'm thinking. So there's still a chance for you to have him!!  What do you think of the siblings coming in? One of the other girls had a good point, they won't be doing the "kiss everyone" games! |

I haven't watched since the Sunday episode. I'm also watching Love Island UK (btw so GOOD) which ends on Monday. Going back and forth between shows was confusing me! So I am going to binge this weeks USA Sunday then start watching daily. |

Zeta has really been annoying me, since she "lost" Timmy to Bria. She's been acting like such a brat, making snide comments and being extra rude to Bria. Poor Jeff too, being used by her, then dumped. To me, it really shows a lot about a person's character how they act when things go wrong, because anyone can be sweet and fun and great as long as the relationship is going well. She did not handle it well, nor did she even try to - she thought she had every right to act like a spoiled brat. If everyone could see how their dates acted when they broke up, before even dating, that would be so telling! I would love that glimpse into the future, because some people just get so nasty. Timmy better stay on her good side, because she's a brat. Then when she pulled Bria for a talk, she didn't even really apologize, just tried to "be there for her" because she knows it's not a nice situation to be in. Big of ya, Zeta. And all the other girls support her and are validating her behavior. Poor Bria. I hope she and Jeff live happily ever after! Sydney is just icky, and all the scenes in the Hideaway were barely tolerable. Yuck. She seems very needy. |

My favorite on the show is Zeta. I know a lot of ppl don’t like her out thinks she’s a brat, but I like her off all the girls. I like Timmy and Zeta together, but don’t believe after this end they will try and make it work, but just like all seasons they’ll eventually go there separate ways. I like Sereniti, but just feel like she’s just not into Chazz, I really believe she’s attracted to white guys (I could be wrong), but that’s the vibe she’s giving. Sydney I like too, but her lips really bother me as well as this horrible spray tan that she wears, but than that she’s just ok. Courtney reminds me of Cely 2.0 I think she tries to emulate her too(calling ppl nugget). Deb meh (that’s all I got). Bria’s a cute girl just not sure why her and her brother would go after a guy who clearly liked the girl he was with, but be upset when Timmy chooses Zeta. This season is going really fast with how often they are doing re-recoupling it’s not giving enough time for them to form relationships (they need at least 3 days IMO). Anyway that enough and that all I wanted to say!!

Recap episodes 6-14 Narrator: Its barely been 5 minutes and the new arrivals are causing friction, tension, and disputes. The producers have got 2 words for that. Good casting.  The fact that two girls are fighting over a guy that wears socks with sandals is something I’ll never understand. Nope nope nope. Can’t stand Zeta. Nothing irritates me more than a reality tv girl that pretends to be strong, capable, and worthy but who is so whipped that she ends up mean girling to get what she wants. Saying that, I am 100% on board with the entertainment. Mr. Timmy is not fooling me. Bria’s temptation was only the beginning. Buckle up Zeta. Bria, sweet pretty girl but too naïve. The poor girl can’t even make eye contact when she speaks to men. I think it was fine she gave it a shot since Timmy basically gave her the green light. Sadly, he got bored. But that sneak attack comment during that game was top tier shady! Loved it. All the girls seemed like they iced Bria out the whole time. Besides Zeta’s fake hugs and words, the girls didn’t try to comfort her when she was crying in the bathroom with her brother, they looked at her like she was crazy. I am still thrown off by Jesse picking Sereniti for a kiss and dare. Does he really like Deb or is she his ticket to stay on Love Island till someone better comes along? I really need someone to check to see if Courtney has a pulse. I feel like she was built in a lab by a horny teenager who could have cared less about incorporating intelligence. The girl dropped Felipe like a hot potato for Bryce! I liked it. I would be more than happy to gift Sydney a good exfoliant and a more attractive pimple cream. |

She's sad now that he's taken, and that makes Jeff done with her. Maybe he'll find someone at Casa Amour! There was sure a lot of grabbing of butts in tonight's episode! And close ups of butts. A little over 2 weeks left. I think this season is dull so I hope Casa Amor gets more spicy. That usually helps push the last half of the season along. Kat brings nothing to the table. I like Nadjha. She seems to be settling well in Casa Amor. I was surprised to hear Jeff say he still wanted her cause it is obvious she is not into him. He also needs to work on his eye contact. I am crossing my fingers Isaiah brings back another girl! Phoebe is obviously very attractive but Ms. I got the brains needs to tone it down. A little too try hard. I was actually shocked by that terrible 90's pop star jean outfit with those atrocious shoes. The horror! The new red head is cute too so either one will do to make Sydney spin. Very happy Deb is finally realizing that Jesse just ain't it. Glad Maddie left. Andy basically posted a long winded I'm just not that into you...cause we live in different states...but yeah we will see what happens.. after she was eliminated. Chazz irritates me. I think its his lack of confidence and maturity. |

Did we ever find out who won the most liked girl and boy? I only remember the bottom 4 being announced, leaving the others to decide who goes home, but did they say who was MOST liked? I read something about comparing the UK version to the USA one, and how people in the UK aren't as possessive and jealous about their partners (not sure if that's true since I only watched a season and half of UK, but it was someone's opinion). That's what I'm really struggling with this season -- Sydney and Zeta have been too extra when it comes to "their" men. Hopefully Casa Amor will shake things up in one way or another. (Ironic that Zeta is from UK too! LOL) I understand really liking your partner and not wanting to lose them, but the nastiness is what I don't like to see. You've only known them for a few weeks, come on. Thanks for the info on Andy, Girly18 I hadn't heard about that post. I listened to the podcast, but that must have been right when they were eliminated - although Matt the host, asked her if she was Zooming in from Andy's house. At least Matt still has a job involved with this show, for all those who miss and like him. (I still like the current guy a lot!) |

They don't ever have an actual most liked. Its basically everyone that isn't in the bottom is the most liked. The UK version will always be superior and yes one of the reason is the girls are confident, strong, 10's, and usually wear the pants. The UK girls would eat Love Island USA girls alive. Plus the men are hotter too. We get crusty Instagram scraps. |

Mackenzie was not very liked her season. She was very drama.
She was just on a few episodes of Summer House and was a completely different person. Quiet and nice.
So I wonder which version we will get.
Love Island UK brought back Adam Collard from season 4 this year so USA must have taken a page from them.
BTW, Adam is hands down the hottest islander to ever walk in the villa.

Mady and Andy have been spending time together the last week. They said there was a lot that wasn't aired. He basically worked his butt off to get back in her good graces and they formed something good.
Kyle was kicked off the show because of sexual assault allegations that were made on social media.

Usually when a new islander comes in, they automatically get safety at the next elimination. I'll be bummed if Mackenzie leaves. She's more authentic than Phoebe. She just says whatever to every guy so she can stay.

Re: Mackenzie - I literally did not recognize her at all. Had to look up old photos of her and realized OHHHHH, that's who she was, OK. Looks like an entirely different person.
I do NOT GET the fascination with Chad. Seems so young with his MFM (my first mustache). Or are they feigning interest in him just to stay? Surprised the single/avaialable girls aren't more all over Joel, if I have his name, the newest guy dressed as a firefighter.
