The people you highlighted are all older some past 50-60. Why are they doing a challenge show in the middle of the jungle? Another Over The Edge copycat?

I recognized Yul and Cirie from Survivor and wanted to see them. Also it's new people every episode so it's not like they have to stay there for 39 days. I hope this is way better than Over the Edge. Also older is better and they are sneakier.

I watched the first episode, it was okay but I was a little bit bored. I thought there should have been more then 4 on at a time. I will watch again though and go from there. I figured out who the snake was this time only because he wasn't swimming much in the one challege and I know he is good at holding his breath and swimming for a long time

I read today that Malcolm bribed a hotel employee to get him a bottle of booze, got super drunk the night before where he was throwing up. Continued getting sick the next day and almost got pulled from the game, had to have fluids IV in. But it was a good excuse to not play hard, everyone knew he was hung over so they didn't expect to see him excel. Yul got legitimately sick sometime that day or night, and everyone questioned him about it like he was faking! Poor Yul. The clues to me were so blatantly trying to point to one person, that I thought it really did the opposite (even though the players didn't think so). I knew they wouldn't give it away so easily (the bar exam, for example).

They aired the first one last week, perhaps to entice people to watch the series? I watched it on NBC. Yahoo articleFrom the Yahoo article: "While Snake in the Grass officially premieres Aug. 1 on USA, the show aired a special preview episode June 26 on NBC featuring Yul Kwon, Earl Cole, and Malcom Freberg of Survivor along with Jeff Zausch of Naked and Afraid. (The installment will air again on USA on Aug. 15.)"

Season 1 Episode 1 - You're Killing Me Bro!" - August 1, 2022 www.usanetwork.com/usa-insider/who-was-snake-in-snake-in-the-grass-episode-1x01I immediately thought the snake was John, he had that cocky, smirky look in his eye when they were introduced. What surprised me was at the first challenge Sean had major problems and could not maneuver at all on this ropes and could not help/aid John with the transfer of the box. I thought AHA it is Sean and continued to think so through out the challenge. What surprised me was how focused Alison was on John not Sean during that challenge even when John proved useful and Sean was a total dud. Sean's keeping to himself and not talking about himself raised suspicions during the camp over. The next day at the second challenge Sean seemed so distributive so obviously sabotaging the team that the snake could only be him. At the Snake Pit 3 votes were for Sean and 1 was for John. The Snake was John and he fooled everyone and won the $100,000. I did like how John explained how Sean not talking about himself not opening up, being disruptive only helped his game. I should have gone with my initial gut feeling.

www.usanetwork.com/usa-insider/snake-in-the-grass-episode-2-who-is-snakeRyan was such an annoying personality that I really wanted it to be him. Like in episode 1 Ryan has the same smirk on his face that John had. He is argumentative, targets people, is a bully, and comes across as a toxic personality. What I find interested in both episode 1 and 2 there were two women and two men forming the teams and almost instantly one of the men targets the other almost as if they are in a rutting contest with one determined to destroy the other and be the alpha male. Will the dynamic change if the ratio of men to women changes?

Season 1 Episode 3 - Masters of Gameplay - August 15, 2022 The Players: Malcolm Freberg (Survivor), Corpus Christie, TX Yul Kwon (Survivor), Los Altos, CA Earl Cole (Survivor), Kansas City, KS Jeff Zausch (Naked and Afraid), Pocatello, ID The challenges seemed hard as they were all water focused in the ocean and the waves seemed rough. Amazing how all you need is one person who is determined to say "you" are the snake and the other players will then focus on that person. Interesting to see an all male team. www.usanetwork.com/usa-insider/snake-in-the-grass-episode-3-who-was-the-snake

Season 1 Episode 4 - “All Boys Are Snakes” - August 22, 2022 Players: Sam (Samantha) Ruebush Age: 25 Location: Nashville, TN Quote: “Be a good person when you can” Job/Hobby: Dog Mom Fun Fact or Slogan: Her bite is worse than her bark Elektra Nelson Age: 29 Location: Westchester, NY Quote: “Intent is different than impact” Job/Hobby: Marketing Fun Fact or Slogan: Straight talker Wyatt Werneth Contestant Bio Age: 55 Location: Cocoa Beach, FL Quote: “Ready to do anything anytime” Job/Hobby: Stuntman Fun Fact or Slogan: Cancer survivor Xavier Williams Age: 22 Location: Los Angeles, CA Quote: “Bad things can happen, but what if they don’t” Job/Hobby: Content Creator Fun Fact or Slogan: Gen Z to the core Thought it was pretty obvious that the snake was either Wyatt or Xavier. But it turned out to be Elektra. I liked her strategy not to sabotage any of the challenges, but to simply "deny, deny, deny". I also liked how she didn't reveal everything about herself and hid behind religion, very smart. Elektra said that people are touchy about religion and the other players would hesitate to poke at her ID as working for a church and being very religious. She commented that no one was going to question a "black lady about her religion". www.sportskeeda.com/pop-culture/who-revealed-snake-episode-4-snake-in-the-grass-clues-wrongful-suspicious-nbc-series

Season 1 Episode 5 - Survivor vs. Big Brother - August 29, 2022 Cast: Rachel Reilly(Big Brother and The Amazing Race), Birmingham, AL Janelle Pierzina(Big Brother), Minneapolis, MN Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick(Survivor), Dunedin, FL Cirie Fields(Survivor), Jersey City, NJ Good to see Cirie again and I am thinking I know who is the snake because everyone loves Cirie. Liked the episode it was fun, maybe because I knew three of the four players, and the players knew each other or of each other so that was fun. Very surprised to see the snake revealed to the audience at least that soon in the episode. www.sportskeeda.com/pop-culture/don-t-ever-reveal-snake-again-fans-disappointed-stephanie-reveals-snake-snake-in-the-grass-season-1-episode-5Another interview, there is a video attached with all four ladies only a minute or two long but it is a fun listen. www.cinemablend.com/television/why-one-snake-in-the-grass-contestant-wasnt-at-all-fooled-by-their-former-reality-show-co-stars-deception

I was surprised at the toughness of Rachel Reilly…out in the swampy water in the dark determined to find the clue, and then making the long swim with the key back to the beach. I did not expect that from her. Pretty impressive!

I did not expect that from her. Pretty impressive! She is this whiny girly thing yet her competitiveness gives her the determination to do things the viewers don't expect of her. I never watched he on Big Brother and she could be annoying as heck on the Amazing Race but she was competitive and complaining all the way.

Season 1 Episode 6 - Bullying Behavior - September 5, 2022 www.usanetwork.com/usa-insider/snake-in-the-grass-episode-6-players-who-are-theyI was so sure it was Brandon. Why would the strongest person not take the lead position in a a Tyrolean traverse? Michael looks like a overweight nerd not the person to go first in a very physical challenge. Comes across as bullying behavior on Brandon's part. Then Nia wouldn't tell anyone where she was from because she overshares and decided not too? Then later did want to look for the clue at the camp, and took the hammock that Chelsea called dibs on. When the team found the camp clue and it said the Snake had a scar the only one to refuse to show a scar and the story behind it was Nia. What a way to call attention to yourself. Brandon and Chelsea not wanting help in the second challenge and totally ignoring Michael and Nia. But Michael actually had the correct solution but no one wanted to listen. The second challenge clue called the Snake a "Master of the Dungeon" and immediately I thought it was Michael, with Brandon maybe. Pretty sure it was Brandon or Michael. Michael is the Snake. During the overnight camp all the team except Nia showed their scars and the story behind them. Michael showed them scars from a broken ankle not the tiny one by his eye from when he was a bully in school and picked on someone who hit him in the face, broke his glasses and drove a piece of glass very near his eye. Michael is also very into Dungeons and Dragons and even has a podcast about the subject.

Season 1 Episode 7 - Costa Rica Karen - September 12, 2022 Lacey Jones36-year-old Army veteran (Naked and Afraid) Tamaroa, IL Brett Kessinger29-year-old marketer St. Louis, MO David Redmond50-year-old IT Manager Atlanta, GA Rogerlyn Taylor26-year-old Insurance Producer - is a “rule breaking pageant queen.” Laurel, MD I think the quote about Lacey, the Naked and Afraid contestant, clashing with the team is exaggerated. David clashed just as much with the others. The players worked well as a team during the first challenge and the overnight camp part, however during the second challenge Lacey took over trying to build a 3D pyramid she was horrible and it looked as if she was sabotaging the challenge. Did Lacey argue? Yes, she did but no more than other players in other episodes. Brett was the Snake. The clues were bullied as a child in a small town this artist moved to the big city. The other clue was that the snake was a pole dancer but you would never suspect it. Brett is a rock climber and he moved well so absolutely believed he pole danced.

Season 1 Episode 8 - Something Is Snakey Here - September 19 2022 - Season FinaleJuliet Bell27-year-old hunter is from Los Angeles, California and seeks adventure on a daily basis Victoria Gusto49-year-old boxing teacher is from Las Vegas, Nevada Ryan Mccune29-year-old Taekwondo Black Belt is from West Covina, California Todd Duffee35-year-old is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and is from Gary, Indiana Normally there are four clues either given, earned, or found: 1. Read at the start 2. Given if first challenge successfully completed 3. Clue at Overnight Camp needs to be found 4. Given if second challenge successfully completed However, I noticed that in episodes 6 and 7 they did not air the first clue but they did in episode 8. It was interesting to watch. One thing I learned be careful what you say you can do as in any challenge all of a sudden you can't do what you said you could and you look suspicious. Juliet I am looking at you Miss Lifeguard who can't jump into the water. Juliet talked so much so fast and interrogated everyone and in return didn't provide that much that I thought it must be her. Amazing how previous behavior like not talking about your family becomes such and issue in this game. Victoria has a bad relationship with her mother and simply could not talk about her even to say "I have a bad relationship with my mother and I don't about it", but it stood out and made Juliet suspicious. The snake pit was fun and there was a big point where the snake tripped up. Turning bright red does not help. Todd had me fooled totally. I believed him saying he was scared of everything. I don't think I once suspected he was the snake.
