Tonight was trivia, one of TJ Lavin's favorite daily challenges which on a regular Challenge highlights the cast's lack of knowledge about most anything. Here is to hoping this cast is smarter.

One of the best things I have seen so far on this season is that people do not mess around with who they pick for elimination even if it is not necessarily the best choice for them in the long run. People chicken out.
I am thrilled that Alyssa and Kyland stuck to their guns and picked Shan and Xavier to go into elimination.
Xavier is boring as wallpaper paster. His personality is as exciting as mush.
Xavier was also cocky from winning his season of Big Brother, but did he really think his castmates would just let him skate to the final. Xavier sure acted like it. I know Alyssa was hesitating but would she really get a second chance like this?
I think Xavier's anger over being picked also blinded him to really thinking his strategy through. That is why you blindside someone. If Xavier had actually thought he would be going in he would have been prepared and probably would have won.
Also if you really think about it Xavier was big and fit guy and that is one less big and fit guy the others have to compete against.
Sarah with her commentary this episode really came across negative. What has she done lately.
I am starting to feel bad for Leo and his lack of a social game.

I really think they should have targeted Tyson they might not have another chance to try to get him out or the strong girl I forget her name who was paired with him the first week.

Angela?
Ugh, just so happy Justine won. But the house would have blown up if X came back. But man, he was salty, did he not remember what he did to Tiffany? Just a couple of weeks ago? SMH

Another great episode. And the super bitter X and Shan made me lol. HAhahahaha! And then Azahs comment about him leaving the chat. HAHahahahaha! Great ending! X thought he was so strong and his ego was his downfall punching all the glass and having a long penalty. And I never liked Shan so overall happy with the elimination. So its ok WHEN you backstab people X but when its to you, you become the king of bitter island! HAHAHAHAHAHA! True colors!

I have to say the Twitter fans for the USA Challenge are completely different than the regular Challenge. The Cookout acting like they don't get why players from BB would want to seek revenge is ridiculous. Everyone knows why you did what you did and ultimately respect. But it doesn't mean you didn't lie, cheat, steal, manipulate, embarrass people along the way who thought you were friends. This is no different than the Challenge players having beef with someone every season. Most players wait and are too scared to make a big move. I think its great they took the shot. X leaving won't be the downfall of their game. All these players want to play and win which makes this show so damn good. This is proof the Challenge needs to stop casting those silly little rookies who are only there to party or have no athletic bone in their body.

SMH I think that is what is so funny, you just did it to Tiffany. Nobody seems to remember what they did to anybody else and they all lie in the game.

Xavier's exit made him look as petty as everyone he was accusing of being petty. Knowing how he played BB made him dangerous--his competitors know he can convince others to play with him and then has no trouble turning on them to suit his own game. As others here have pointed out, getting him out also removed another fit person who could be difficult to beat in future challenges from the game, and they may not have that many chances to do that so early. Sure, they could have targeted Tyson for the same reason, but they may have felt that they had a better shot at getting Xavier out than Tyson at this particular point.
As for Tyson, he didn't have to be happy about being eliminated--who would be?--but he didn't need to sound so childish. After all, he did just win BB, which means he's not hurting for prize money, and he's a lawyer, so he should be able to earn a better than average salary. If it wasn't about the money but just about being outplayed, then he could have been more gracious about that, too. It happens. He could simply have said goodbye and good luck and moved on. Even saying nothing would have been better than the hissy fit he threw on national television just because he didn't win this competition, too.

TJ certainly enjoyed himself while hosting this challenge I'm happy Xavier and Shan were eliminated , however, I was surprised that Kyland and Alyssa put them in at this point, given who they were going against in the elimination challenge. Smart to take a shot while you can, I guess. Happy not to see X & S's big egos on my tv anymore lol. Makes sense for the rest of the BB and Survivor folks to go along with it, since they'd each be losing one of their "alliance" members.

Xavier wants them to forget all about his backstabbing and move on but then has a bad attitude when they backstabbed him! I don't mind Shan going either.

This is proof the Challenge needs to stop casting those silly little rookies who are only there to party or have no athletic bone in their body. Just read the exit interview from EW and listened to the US interview on Youtube and Xavier doesn't understand why Kyland and Alyssa are bitter about the BB Cookout Alliance that only black people would understand the Cookout Alliance that it needed to be done to get the BB's first black winner. OK, well I was pretty sure Kyland and Alyssa were both People of Color and would have a smidge of understanding regarding that. But I guess according to both Xavier and Shan they (Kyland and Alyssa) are too stupid, petty, vengeful, and short sighted to understand much of anything. Considering Shan is a pastor, she is slamming Alyssa way hard on every interview I have seen so far. I guess she must not have been in theology class the day they discussed forgiveness. Just for a historical perspective: Survivor has 5 black winners, S4, S14, S31, S36, S42 - 2 women and 3 men, 2 Hispanics who both won twice - Sandra Diaz and Tony Vlachos, 3 Asians - 1 male, 2 female Amazing Race has had 3 all black teams in S5, S7, S18, has 1 all Asian team S14, and many winners with mixed teams such as season 25 a white female doctor and a black female doctor or S17 with one white female and one Asian female. So the question is if other shows can have non white winners why couldn't Big Brother?

Shan said she was a pastor during her Survivor 41 season and here on the Challenge she calls herself an itinerant pastor. FYI: screenrant.com/survivor-shantel-smith-patreon/This might explain Shan's campaign in all of her recent interviews trashing both Kyland and Alyssa as petty, vengeful, stupid, and short sighted. Shan is also trashing Alyssa on Twitter. I guess Shan is creating content for her Patreon account. Considering that Shan said some "nasty" comments on how she controls her flock while on Survivor I think maybe her flock asked her to leave.

Yes, I was just going to say how awful Shan has been on Twitter - very very nasty, towards Angela and Alyssa. It's ridiculous. I'm very glad they are out of the game. I understood, at first, questioning them about why get rid of someone in your alliance? But, then it turned so hostile I didn't care about that anymore. In one of Shan's interviews, she comments on Lacina and a scene they were in. She says she didn't like Lacina, and from what I've seen so far, Sarah really is being negative and mean-spirited. She must think she's pretty great. Even if you are, you don't have to be so rude about it -- or if you are great, at least have a sense of humor about it like Tyson does! I liked the trivia challenge, but how nerve-wracking to be up there with a threat of falling! My mind would be mush. I'm glad Justine is still in it, she's the only Love Island girl left with any redeeming qualities IMO. It looks like I may have to endure more Cash/Cinco drama in the next episode, so I'm bracing myself. (Can't stand her!)

I do enjoy listening and reading exit interviews as many contestants reveal stuff that happened that was not shown and explains much. Yes, there is creative editing to support certain storylines. However, Shan's exit interviews are getting a bit excessive. At first she spun her initial story that Alyssa was petty and not thinking ahead. The exit interviews are shared by both Xavier and Shan but Shan is taking over the majority of the conversation. Now Shan is bringing Angela into it. It is one thing to say Angela was behind it but Shan getting really personal, by saying Angela is sneaky, you can't read her face for all the botox she had done, that she is cruel and a mean girl. Shan is spreading the love. Same story, the "name of person" is sneaky, is stupid, is underhanded, etc .... How come everyone on the show is a mean girl but Shan. Maybe the problem is not the cast, maybe the problem is Shan. Shan is making herself look bad. This is an article from July 14 with Shan slamming Alyssa: www.monstersandcritics.com/tv/reality-tv/the-challenge-usa-star-shantel-smith-calls-out-castmate-for-being-fake-and-using-the-cookout/Now this is getting nasty: www.yahoo.com/now/xavier-prather-shan-smith-call-181327769.html

Wow! They are both nasty pieces of work (X an Shan). AT least they are so over the top they are making me laugh. esp Shan, She was collateral damage in getting X out. No one liked her but no one was afraid of her either. And so so nasty. Nothing to do with being a pastor. I don;t like anyone that ugly and nasty like that. X is even funnier with his passive aggressive "now he can have his batman/superman moment" - not just bitter but ugly and bitter now. After their elimination I hope I never see either of them again.

I do think Shan is doing this in part to get people to subscribe to her Patreon channel. Shan no longer has a congregation, she made a point in the episodes to say she is an itinerant pastor. After her Survivor season, God told her to leave her congregation and set up a Patreon channel and made videos making herself a content provider for God. Shan needs subscribers to her channel as that is how she supports herself. I don't particularly like that Shan says she was targeted for being a pastor, for being a believer, and then she pulls the race card by saying Alyssa does not understand the Cookout Alliance and the movement that it supports and that means Alyssa is racist. It always confuses me when African Americans claim other people of color, like Alyssa are racist and do not understand the racism against black people in America.

Per the Futon Critic the final episode will air September 14, 2022 and will be two hours long.
So the entire season will be 10 episodes with an additional 2 hour final.
So that looks to be a 4 team finale? Or if more teams qualify I am OK with that. I like a multi team final with partner switching, it is much more dramatic. The team dynamic really adds to the show. I also like it when the so called weak people make it to the final. I don't care how you get to the final, luck, brains, politics, or physicality. Many times the so called weak people do incredibly well in the final especially if there are lots of puzzles or math. I also luv it when the so called strong people have difficult moments...I am having a moment thinking about Zach cramping up and his partner was Laurel at the time. He deserved every single painful moment. ahhhhhh!

Wow jealous much, Shan??! Agreed on Shan doing this in part to get people to subscribe to her Patreon channel. Gotta keep things stirred up as long as possible to keep her name out there. Ick.

Now that I am done laughing at those fools, I have decided it a good move to put up X and Shan. First off, revenge isn't a "bad game play" in and of itself. you want people to think if I go for this person they will come for me . . . make people think twice about going after you. I do it in Settlers with my family - if you put the robber on me, Ill move it back to you as soon as I get a 7 or an army card. Maybe I wont if you dont have any resource to steal but Ill definitely use that as a factor all other things equal-ish. If they didn't put up X now they risk 2 things. 1. later he could be partnered with a stronger partner. Shan is a fairly weak partner so now is the time. He even thought so and the comp proved collectively they couldn't win it. 2. you may be partnered with someone who does not want to put up X because Xs partner is aligned with your partner. With the whole random switch it up every week (Which I love) - too many variables to wait. And you already know that X has ZERO loyalty to you so you are not really cutting your numbers. You have a better chance of making a new alliance with some leftovers of the smaller # shows than trusting X. So you know what X? - just bc there was a revenge aspect doesnt mean they were "bitter." By pulling the revenge card they both got out a strong guy without making the other strong players think you are targeting a strong player. Revenge isnt a bad game play as long as it isn't in lieu of a better move. As always just my $0.02
