The title of the episode:  Is Tyson the God of the show? Another ugh right away as Danny is paired with Angela and Angela says "Olympic trials competitor ... and a professional athlete" She does come off pretty full of herself. Tyson's matched with Cash, so she jumps in his arms. LOL, Ky gets Shannon! Sarah is snotty about Leo, but she's paired with him, so she better make it work! |

I'd be terrible at this challenge. That's a long distance to swim, and I'm a super slowww swimmer. I'd be out there all day!
ETA: but at least I can swim. Not like: Enzo, Azah, Cash and Leo. Wow, didn't they know what they were signing up for?

I love how the codes are all similar to each other. But sheesh, Cash, don't just open cans willy-nilly!  Tyson's furious! So he has a little hissy fit and throws his puzzle pieces at the board. What's with Enzo's swimming ability?? Or lack of... I didn't know that about him. Lots of people are struggling! |

Aww, poor Derek and Cayla. They had such a lead, and Tyson does his one-man domination to beat them. Wow. Cash couldn't even swim, he had to pull her along!

What the heck, Sarah??? I've never seen gestures and madness like that. Wow, she's unhinged about being put in for elimination, then winning. Look out Tyson, she's going to eat you!
Cinco and Azah go home, Cash cries.
This show needs to be longer! We barely got to see some of the players tonight, and I'd like to see more of their unscheduled, down time.

Tyson and Angela are too full of themselves. I don't want either of them to win.
Sarah was over the top with her fury.
I felt bad for those struggling to swim. I am not a strong swimmer myself. I do know how but I'd be struggling myself. Well I wouldn't because I wouldn't want to do what they're doing! Lol

Being consistent and not making any memory mistakes and being able to do the puzzle gets you the win. I used to be a water baby when I was a kid, I just started getting back in the pool last summer and I was shocked as an adult how bad I was. Being able to be comfortable in the water, being able to swim is a huge skill set in the Challenge. I have to give kudos to all the bad swimmers because all of them did finish that portion of the daily challenge. It was a huge distance and they had 3 sets of puzzle pieces so that is a minimum of three swims. Looked close to being a mile swim and that is a lot. |

I did not like Sarah's attitude toward Leo. This is a partner game, you have to be able to work with your partner. She and Leo did not have a swim plan like Tyson and Cashay did.
From the very beginning of the episode I just knew Sarah and Leo were going in. It was SOOOOOO obvious this was going to happen. Tyson I appreciate is not married to the Survivor alliance. The only alliance he has is with Angela. Tyson is a big boy and he can handle it.
Cashay: YOU DID NOT WIN THE CHALLENGE TYSON WON THE CHALLENGE. I just wanted to make that absolutely clear.
I do appreciate that Tyson had a game plan. One thing I know is these endurance based challenges is take your time memorize the portion you need to memorize and be consistent in your pacing. I was so happy for Cayla and Derrick and really rooting for them to win. What happened?
I think Cayla is being very smart in her social game.
It was too funny watching this episode that Sarah's bad mouthing of Leo and what a bad partner he is sent her to elimination.
Also Azah and Cinco, say a name, when asked who you want to go against, if nothing else Tyson and Cashay may have given it to you because that would mean no blood on their hands. DO NOT leave your fate up to strangers, that was just a dumb move. All you did was allow Tyson and Cashay to send in whomever they wanted.
Cashay's walking around the house like she won the Challenge....really irks me.
So glad Sarah listened to Leo and they were able to work together.
Sarah's display ... girl if you want a display of bad sportsmanship you need to watch Laurel celebrate her victory over Ninja Natalie in the flagship show. Also Sarah win a challenge and maybe you will get some revenge. Not likely. At least there will be some drama in the house.

The swimming distance was:
One round trip was 450 yards.
Three round trips was 1350 yards which is 4050 feet which is three quarters of a mile swim if you didn't have any memory mistakes. That is a lot of swimming for both swimmers and non swimmers.
Edit: I originally put down 3 round trips as I had noticed that most teams had 3 wrapped piles of puzzle pieces and therefore thought 3 piles means 3 trips. I guess the puzzle pieces must have been wrapped in an interesting way or big to big and small to small.
So with that in mind the distance swum was closer to half a mile. Half a mile is not much walking or running but it is a great distance swimming.

Season 1 Episode 5 - In Tyson We Trust - July 3, 2022
As much as folks are bashing on Leo this season, after watching him in the Amazing Race I do believe he has the skill sets to do well in the final. He can run, he has the endurance, and he works well under pressure, he has the drive. Leo's Achilles heel is his ability to NOT SWIM. Can Leo squeak into the final? He has $2500 in his bank account so he is halfway there.
I worry for Danny as I don't think he is built for endurance. He looked exhausted after the swim.
Enzo like Sarah has not done much. He looked done.
Derek surprised me he did very well in the challenge, maybe he an Alyssa would do well in the final together.
Very happy with Cayla's performance.
Only 6 people qualify for the final:
Alyssa
Angela
Cashay
Justine
Kyland
Tyson
Only 2 men qualify, with 4 women.
Alyssa won with Kyland
Angela won with Tyson and Kyland
Cashay won with Tyson
Justine won with Tyson
Will they run the final with only two men?
When will people want to be thrown into elimination to qualify for the final?

I’m hoping once everyone has been paired once, they will go to individual competitions. I want to see some of these people in a hall brawl or shimmying across a rope, among some other challenges that are 1 on 1s.

Tyson threw his puzzle pieces and did his exuberant happy dance but its uncool when Sarah does it. Whatever you hypocrite.
Also, why couldn't he dress in black like the rest of the competition. Why be difficult, the black looks comfy and I like all black visually from home.
That said I am not anti-Tyler, if not other reason he is quite funny many times. Plus his comp skills are mad.
I agree Sarah was quite over the top on her Leo bashing. He is a smart guy. I don't think he's the worst partner out there.

That kinda drives me crazy when physical players want a physical elimination and they don't get it. The Challenge is a combination of physical and mental, basic geography, math, puzzles, problem solving, and partnering. It's like Fessy only wanting to go into elimination if it is a Hall Brawl and against a smaller guy. Even if it was a physical elimination it doesn't mean it would be easy. Some of these big dudes don't have the stamina for a long endurance heavy elimination.

And here she is saying her partner could do all the work in the elimination challenge & she wouldn't have to do much, if anything. Too bad America's Next Top Model isn't on anymore, she could've done that instead. She's gorgeous, but a player, she is not. |

There were 10 teams, 2 barrels each, and 99 barrels on the ship. At least by my count.
Sarah has been partnered with: Enzo, Kyland, Cinco, Derek, and Leo, and has not placed very high.
Sarah's future partners are: David, Ben, Danny, Dom, and Tyson. That is interesting 1 Big Brother and the rest Survivor.
