I just had to pop in to say that the moment the first person yodeled--the actual yodeler, not the contestants--my dog, who was stretched out sound asleep on the end of the couch, suddenly popped awake, lifted his head, and looked at me, "Like what in the world was that?"
After he was satisfied that I wasn't making that sound and it was just the TV, he went back to sleep.

I would choose bells over the dancing if I were Glenda and Lumumba I would totally choose bells--I also play the piano. Plus, I'm a klutz, so reading the notes for the bells would be tons easier for me than learning a dance (though the dance steps seemed harder for the guys than the women). |

I love the Austrian folk costumes everyone ended up in--and the Austrian woman is gorgeous. They are not costumes, they still wear these for holidays and special occasions. The outfits used to be the clothing they wore daily. They had them for everyday wear and the more delicate ones for special days. |

Beautiful scenery, we loved it. The married couple are our faves. Their height difference doesn't bother them at all. Omg I couldn't yodel if my life depended on it.Poor Claire looked so upset, but they came back.

Wow, so many close calls. At least there were no emotional meltdowns, yet.
Really hoping Team T-Rex would make it.
Normally I try to stay neutral about how I feel with teams with the exception of arrogant, egotistical all male teams that win practically every leg. However, this is the first season I like most of the couples even the all male ones. The teams seem more even than in previous seasons and you are not sure who is in first place. Actually I prefer it this way as it becomes boring when you have only one team winning all the time. Hope it continues like this for the rest of the season.
Was happy to see Army Brothers get first place.
The only couple I would really have liked to see in last place is Ms. Bright-Lite 2.0. Her energy is exhausting. Does her partner even speak?

Happy for DX and Claire with their comeback.
Loved the father-daughter - they move up to top 3 I am rooting for! The twins are so cute too!
I agree, not a fan of the motivational speakers . . . something feels off there. . . like she missed the note and then she asked for clarification on what was wrong and then he pointed it out. He seems so . . .awkward. . . as if he didn't want to point out her mistake but then only felt obligated once she asked and the fact he hardly talks. I think it seems more glaringly obvious next to Rainbow Brite's more assertive and chattier personality. Maybe he will relax or maybe there is more to the story there (like they recently stopped working together so he feels weird - IDK! but their body language to each other doesn't feel like 2 people who work closely together like that).

I think we are referring to Rich and Dom right? Motivational speakers? I think they are a live-in couple, although not much focus on that. Not sure how that relationship will pan out, but they play sloppy and I don’t expect them to last long.
I was relieved that Quinton and Maddie were able to catch up. I like them and will enjoy them for however long they are there.
Glenda and Lum are a fun couple to watch, and I adore the twins! Watching them explain who was the “girl” in the dance was funny.
Of course I love Claire and Derek and am rooting for them. Only couple I am undecided about is Luis and Michele, they have not really stood out yet for me. I do like that he is a firefighter and will probably whiz through those mechanical challenges.

They should have sent Dolly Parton, she can yodel.  I like Claire's Dirndl ( the dress she is wearing ). Yes, Claire and Derek both looked adorable in their outfits! They just make me smile.  I felt so bad about Claire's struggles in the yodeling challenge. But at least they rocked it with the bells! They went from next-to-last place after yodeling to 4th place. I love the twins -- they're so sweet! And such a neat story. There was so much attention to wearing and bringing their whole outfits to check in, I figured there would be some reason we kept hearing about it. The mer-fairy haired lady was kind of annoying to me this episode, then she's the one who comes in without her hat. They got it from their car in time, but it's too bad they weren't eliminated, just because of her attitude. I wonder if all of them get to keep their outfits? Poor Rex and Tim are last, which is not really a surprise to me. Wow, Rex lost 50 pounds for this race! Good for him. |

I am really liking these teams. The dad and daughter (although to me they look so close in age!) made me tear up, and I love the newlywed's sense of humor and joy. Derek was so chill about Clair struggling with the yodeling, love them together. Also, I'm all for some NFL cheerleaders (tough job). Motivational speaker is the only one I'm not really liking. She isn't very authentic to me, and I was enjoying seeing some cracks in her facade.
I immediately started looking at hiking trips in Austria. How beautiful!!!
