I have to think that stress from dealing with the current situation is contributing to many of these non-Covid-related deaths.

Fred Willard has passed away from natural causes. Another eye twinkle dimmed.
I'll miss seeing him. It seemed he was always popping up somewhere. He always had a smile on his face. Must have been a happy man.

I so enjoyed Fred Willard, he had a kind of tongue in cheek humour. I last saw him on one of the bachelor shows, playing a judge of course, just like in Best of Show. Rip Mr Willard, and thank you.

RIP beautiful Phyllis George

REST IN PEACE Fred Willard. I have followed his career starting allllll the way back when he was in "Fernwood Tonight"/HYSTERICAL. Me, too! I was trying to remember what the old show was that I loved him in so much. Thanks for naming it! He and Martin Mull and all of their "guests" were so funny! I can't believe it was only on for one summer (with a short sequel in the spring/summer of 1978). It had quite an impact for a show that was so short-lived.

Wow, Fred Willard and Frank Bilec are two really tough ones for me. I feel like I grew up watching Fred on TV and Frank was always my favorite designer (in personality, if not in actual design) on Trading Spaces. Does it seem like more people are dying lately? I mean, yes, so many people are dying from Covid, but the majority of the celebrity deaths in this thread lately aren't from that. My daughter and I were just talking about this. It's like 2020 wants to rival 2016. So sad.

Eddie - he was such a bad boy suck-up "Yes, Mrs. Cleaver, no, I would never get Wally in trouble, Mrs. Cleaver." RIP Ken

All I could think of this morning when I read the news of Carl Reiner's passing was how sad it was that he and Mel Brooks have been separated these past months IIRC, they would spend time together nearly every day.

Sad to hear the passing of a fellow Buckeye, Hugh Downs. There will never be a time when I hear his name and not automatically hear "... and this is 20/20" in conjunction.

He was one of the good ones. I stopped watching 20/20 after he and Barbara Walters left. It was never the same.

I was reading some of the tributes for him on twitter and such, everyone is saying what a down to earth, kind, and all around nice guy he was. He truly was a credit to his field, my university even named one of their communications schools after him

In the wake of these deaths of people who lived full and long lives, there's this: It's beyond unfair that a perfectly healthy and wildly talented 41 year old man should be gone. He was fairly newly-married and their son just turned 1. I can't even imagine the pain of a loss like this
Whenever people talk about how Covid only kills the elderly or those with pre-existing conditions, here's proof that it isn't true.

😢😢 This one hurts. I'd been following his progress and kept holding on to hope that somehow he'd beat this. How devastating for his wife and young son. May he rest in peace.

I didn't know anything about Nick Cordero, but I too, like so many people, have been following the reports of his long, long, painful over 90 days in the ICU, suffering so badly with COVID, losing a leg to the disease, needing a double lung transplant, and in the end, succumbing to the illness. How tragic for him and for his young family. To all the non-believers out there. Please, please, protect yourself and protect all of us. Stay home. And when you have to go out, social distance and wear a mask. It's life or death for sooooo many people, and a very severe illness for so many others. Young and old!

I saw Charley Daniels a couple of times. The 1st time was in the mid 70's. He opened a show for Eric Clapton during the Hello Old Friend tour. Kind of a weird pairing but a good show anyway. Then he played a show at The Grand Ol Opry one night when I was there. Always liked his music, but in later years his politics & me didn't agree.
Now get your Long Haired Country Boy on home to the big jam session in the sky.
RIP Charley.
