Thanks for that info . . . I've not seen the movie, but will definitely watch it tonight. Gotta share an amusing bit of related information. I looked up "Black Panther" on IMDB to learn a little more about it. When I research a movie, I love to go to the "Trivia" section to get some behind-the-scenes info. Apparently Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis are just about the only two white actors in the film. They also appeared together in a couple of the "Lord of the Rings" movies. So on the set of "Black Panther," they were referred to as the "Tolkien white guys." (I love a good play on words.)

It’s funny that TBS and ABC are both showing Black Panther right now. ABC has the edge going commercial free!

I am still in shock over the loss of Chadwick Boseman... so talented, so inspirational, and so young. Truly a great loss. In reading all the touching words and beautiful tributes across social media from friends, fans, and colleagues it is apparent how many lives he touched by just being him. I just may have to play Black Panther on a loop while I work tomorrow.

I remember Tom Seaver. He was a young pitcher when I was following all of baseball. RIP I was just reading about Lewy's Body in relation to Robin Williams. What a horrible disease.
From the article:
Seaver died Monday in his sleep of complications of Lewy body dementia and Covid-19, the National Baseball Hall of Fame said.

The first I ever heard about Lewy's Body Dementia was Casey Kasem & the whole disaster with his wife & family when he died. Now it seems to be around a lot. Maybe because it's somewhat similar to Alzheimer's Disease. Maybe people have been being misdiagnosed.

That's what I was reading. They are now better at distinguishing among the different dementias.

I watched two of Chadwick Bosemans movies tonight; 42 and Marshall. Beautiful work playing Jackie Robinson in 42 and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall. His movies, all of them, are currently streaming free.

The original terrific Tom. Sever finished his career with The Red Sox in the mid-1980's. Time speeds by and the young grow old.

I've been watching a bunch of Hollywood Reporter roundtables and Variety Actors on Actors videos lately and today I watched one of each that featured Chadwick. The RT was with Chadwick, Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali, Richard E. Grant, Timothee Chalamet and Hugh Jackman, while the AonA was just with Chadwick and Viggo. They were really good, but SO hard to watch. They were both filmed in late 2018/early 2019, leading up to Oscar season. Every time I see Chadwick in anything, I think about how much work he had left to do

His acting was such a high level that it's hard to imagine that he was holding the trauma inside. I just want to give him a big hug & say "It's OK. We understand. And we care."

His acting was such a high level that it's hard to imagine that he was holding the trauma inside. I just want to give him a big hug & say "It's OK. We understand. And we care." I have a friend who did that. She was undergoing radiation for breast cancer, and chose to keep it a secret from all her co-workers. They thought she left each afternoon because of issues with her daughter's school when in truth she did radiation over lunch and then worked from home each afternoon after that so she wasn't putting her fatigue on display. For my friend she did it that way because she was going through a lot in life, and didn't want to feel pitied by her coworkers. Her close friends and family knew what she was going through so she had a support system. But she left co-workers out of it because she wanted some place where she could escape - where she could go and pretend nothing was going on and she didn't feel like a burden on anyone. I get it. I don't think I could do it, but I get it. I do wonder now if any of the co-stars he was closest to knew and just are not letting that be known as a matter of privacy. There's the courtesy that is often observed in Hollywood where actors do not disclose roles they passed on because they don't want the person who got the role feel like or be viewed like the second or third choice. I think it's possible that some people MAY have known, and may just not say so because they don't want others who didn't to feel bad nor do they want reporters to see them as actors who lie. I've seen the point made that with the physicals and insurance required to make movies, it's highly likely that SOMEONE at studios knew what he was going through. Secrets can be kept when Hollywood chooses to.

Kevin Dobson also died - on Sept. 6th, 2020 at age 77.
I remember him from the old Kojak series in the mid 70s and later on Knots Landing.

I didn’t see any mention of the great Lou Brock passing this week. He was 81 & probably still trying to steal 2nd base.

It still bugs me that the superhero people have appropriated The Avengers name. The Avengers will always be Mr Steed & Mrs Peel to me.
I was Jr High & early High School age back then. I thought Diana Rigg & Emma Peel were the ultimate in class, toughness, and style back then. I wanted to be like Mrs Peel when I grew up.
I've also enjoyed seeing Diana Rigg in other roles over the years, but the class, toughness, and style always seemed to shine through.
