Here we go...RIP Charlie Pride - loved his voice. I didn't realize Tom Lister, Jr. was the actor who played the President in The Fifth Element (one of my favorite films) until I saw his photo. RIP to both as their families grieve.

RIP to Dawn Wells. There was an article in the past year saying that she had dementia and wasn't doing too well.

That's too bad about Dawn Wells. She and the rest of that cast provided many hours of fun during my teen years. RIP, Ms. Wells!

They figured out Tanya Robert's cause of death was a UTI that spead to her kidneys and gallbladder and went septic. Really sad; you have to really be careful with those.

Gosh, there so easily treated though.. They are, but sometimes people are just in denial about having one. My 85-year-old neighbor almost died of the same thing last year. She lives alone (with a family that helps her living in the basement). She became was very ill, delirious, and too weak to get out of bed by the time her sister came to visit and insisted that she go to the hospital. She ended up spending about a week in a care facility just as COVID was hitting in late February or early March. Fortunately, she is very feisty and insisted on an early release (which wasn't easy to get and still have insurance coverage). This got her out of the facility before she became exposed to COVID, but that wasn't the reason she insisted on an early release. She was still somewhat delirious (at her age, she's fairly foggy when healthy), and since visitors weren't allowed, she was sure that her sister was trying to shut her away for good. Totally not the case, but whatever works. LOL

I feel now and then as though I have one and concentrate on cranberry juice and it feels better. Waiting on latest lab tests with urine.
May she rest in peace - what a life in the biz.

So sad. The total end of a phenomenon. The first time I ever went to VEGAS was right after Roy's accident. All the signs were still up on the strip & in the Mirage. There was a feeling that he'd recover & the act could resume. We went to Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden & loved it, but it made me so sad for Roy. I've enjoyed all the interviews & TV appearances they made since. Siegfried always remained loyal & caring to his best friend. What a remarkable man.

I never saw them in Vegas but definitely watched their TV specials. I hope is passing was painless, and that they were able to find each other in...whatever comes after.

It's not such a beautiful day in the neighborhood of this earth. Joanne (Mrs. Fred) Rogers has been reunited with her husband. Can't you see the big smile on his face when she walks through those pearly gates?

Interesting! CA Dept of Corrections says "natural causes." NY Times says he had COVID. Can't imagine why the prison system wouldn't want to acknowledge a high-profile COVID death. :eyeroll

Henry ("Hank") Aaron is now playing baseball with Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and a bunch of other great athletes. He passed away this morning at the age of 86.

I remember him from when I was a kid & my older brother collected baseball cards & we watched a lot of games (on TV). He must have been pretty young when he started MLB. RIP Henry (Hank). One of the very top greats in baseball.

It should also be mentioned that a bit earlier in the week, Hall Of Fame pitcher Don Sutton passed away after a long bout with cancer. Now he has someone to throw batting practice to. RIP guys, I watched you both for years.
