Season 1 Episode 5 - "Everyone Wants to Rule the World" - March 29, 2023
Wes did it to himself.
WTF! WOW!
Ends on a major cliffhanger.

Such a cliffhanger! I really did not want this episode to end.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Wes do so poorly in a challenge. I was really surprised that he and Zara came in last.

Just listened to the Official MTV Podcast and Zara was the guest. Hint: The team chosen to go against Wes and Zara are not who you would expect from Darrell as his strategy in the game is to not rock the boat. The team choses was not the safe or easy choice. At this point in the game are there really any safe and easy choices? You may want to throw in Jonna but she has a beast as a partner in Grant and she is good with puzzles and has the endurance. KellyAnne and Tristan are not necessarily a weak team. Jodi and Benja are not a weak team. There really are not any weak teams left.

I watched the first 3 episodes. I thought they could have shown less of the back and forth involving Jonna and Kelly Anne. It felt like it dragged on for so long. I get bored when they have so much footage in some of the episodes in deciding on who is going to get nominated or not.

I get bored when they have so much footage in some of the episodes in deciding on who is going to get nominated or not. I personally really liked the first three episodes as if was so refreshing from the normal show. I would have preferred if they did drop the first three episodes as the cliffhanger after episode 2 felt needed to be resolved at that point and not dragged out to the next week. The reason for some much of the Jonna and KellyAnne is that is sets up the mess drama and nominations for the rest of the season. KellyAnne is so vocal about her displeasure she is putting a big target on her back. Lots of the cast wanted her gone so she would stop making waves. There sure is a lot of Jonna hate. Jonna said KellyAnne is too erratic and she didn't really want her as an ally.

I’ve really enjoyed the first episodes, as well, except for this cliffhanger…..so not necessary! We’re already paying for Paramount+ in order to watch….way to frustrate your viewers even further by making us wait another week to see who gets thrown in. They could have at least left that part in and saved the actual challenge for the next episode.
Interesting on the podcast hearing Zara say that she left all the talking/negotiating/gaming to Wes, and that she didn’t get involved in any of the politics. She spent her time working out, running, relaxing, lol. She did say if she gets invited back to another season, she will be more involved in all that.

Well I am sure Wes enjoyed being her Meat Shield for the season. He got to show off for his adoring disciple.

Season 1 Episode 6 - "Brave New World" - April 5, 2023
Real shocker.
The top 2 teams eliminated.
Bye Bye - Wes and Zara.
Bye Bye - Grant and Jonna.
Kaycee thrown into elimination.
I am liking Kaycee on this episode as I see her talking to the other people and I see this quiet and calm personality. Never saw it before as her normal meat shields (Josh and Fessy) were always around.
There really are no physically weak teams left. The remainder have varying physical, mental, and political strengths and weaknesses. Can they survive the political game?
Would like to see the two UK teams, Argentina, Amber & Troy, and Kaycee & Ben work together against the USA, or specifically against Danny and Sarah.

Zara doesn't look that strong physically. Do you think it would have been better for Wes to be the one holding the weights, since he likely could have held on for longer and with a heavier amount of weights? Zara did mention her dyslexia and that she might not do well at the math though, so I don't know.

Season 1 Episode 7 - "The New World Order" - April 12, 2023 Yes, Yes, Yes. This is what we all have been waiting for. Finally lol I'm sure it wouldn't have made a difference in what Kelly Anne decided to do, but Tori basically telling her "this is what we're doing" without giving Kelly Anne a chance to discuss it with her (at least that's what editing makes it look like), is going to get the opposite result from what Tori wants...every single time. Kelly Anne is always, "don't tell me what to do. And if you tell me what to do, I will do the opposite." For Tori not to realize this is very short-sighted.

I am so glad that KellyAnne was able to get that vote together. We have all watched multiple season were we have seen the an alliance, usually vets totally dominate newbies or those unallied players. Let's face it for years as a fan I have hoped and been disappointed when everyone caved to the majority even when they were the low person on the totem pole. Maybe Tori thinks she is a power in the game I don't know but I was so proud of KellyAnne and anyone notice she was not doing a freak out at all during the episode. I don't think Tori is short sighted she just "knows" this is how the game has always been played. The soundtrack during the dancing was perfect especially when it ended with a head shot of KellyAnne with the lyric "your nightmare".

Best Episode of the season.
Because of the vote.
And the teams who were in the elimination.

Listened to the MTV Official Podcast for this week with Justine and Devyn Simone.
Nice little tidbits as to the tension between the MVPs and Legends.
Justine insists if there was a stalemate Ben and Kaycee were safe. Ben was told, I think by Emily that if there was a stalemate he and Kaycee were going in. Justine sounds a bit upset that she and Bananas were sent in.
Concerning the first elimination vote. Jonna has gotten a lot of flak for sending KellyAnne into elimination. Justine confirmed that everyone felt KellyAnne was such a wildcard that the entire house wanted her in elimination and they made it so.

Listened to Banana's Death, Taxes, and Bananas podcast with guest Jordan Wiseley.
Over an hour long.
Much criticism of the MVP's strategy and KellyAnne's big move and how it was a mistake for her game. That KellyAnne didn't have a lot of relationships in the game and that is why she was being voted in. That KellyAnne & Tristan and Jodi & Benja should have been OK with being voted in and not to rock the boat because that was the best strategy for them. That making the Big Move with KA put a target on all of their backs. That making the Big Move was a rookie move, that rarely works.
Bananas and Jordan even discussed the Sarah Rice sending Bananas and Nany into elimination during Exs II. That it was unnecessary and that Jordan and Sarah Rice would have easily beaten Bananas and Nany in that final as Nany was a chain smoking animal at the time.

Season 1 Episode 8 - "What In The World?" - April 19, 2023
Sick, everyone is sick. First it was Bananas for the first two weeks, then Tristan, Ben and Amber.
Ben was taken to the hospital and he was medically DQ'ed. Still do not know what happened.
Kaycee was set to go as Ben is her partner. Best moment of the episode was Amber volunteering to go as she was ill and giving up her space to Kaycee.
Team Australia - Kaycee & Troy.
Funny how Team USA is down to two teams (Danny & Tori and Sarah & Theo) they still act like they rule the game. Theo's confessionals are obnoxious as what has he done in the game lately? Nothing.
The voting was a bit weird this week, with KellyAnne & Tristan as the winners and Jodi & Benja as the last place team that left that left 8 teams to vote.
Danny&Tori, Sarah&Theo, Emily&Yes, Jordan&Kaz voted as a group with the idea of voting in two Australian teams: Darrell&Kiki and Troy&Kaycee.
Tori is a messy player. The Challenge is a massive game of survival it is not personal but "higher power forbid" she votes in a friend. It's not as if they are going to be killed. Tori did not want to say Kaycee's name so she voted herself and Danny in. I still do not understand the second vote and the numbers as it looked as if Tori & Danny got the most votes.

Season 1 Episode 7 - "The New World Order" - April 12, 2023 Yes, Yes, Yes. This is what we all have been waiting for. Tough one for Bananas and Justine, that was really close . Why didn't any of Bananas/Justine's allies yell to them about the Argentinian flag? In any case, Bananas is still the GOAT challenger.

I enjoyed listening to Amber being interviewed on The Challenge podcast. She seems much more comfortable in her own skin now than she has seemed in the past. (Survivor and the previous Challenge episode she was on.) I’m happy for her.
I was surprised to hear her say that she didn’t find out she was pregnant until she had left the house and had been in the hotel for a couple of days before flying home. The way the episode was edited, I guess I assumed she already knew she was pregnant and that’s really why she was leaving the competition. She told TJ she wanted to drop out due to illness, then shortly after that they show Amber and Troy talking, where Amber tells Troy she’s pregnant, and that he’s the first person she has told. I didn’t realize that she truly dropped out of the competition because she thought she was sick with the flu/bug that others had, unaware that she was also pregnant.
Glad that Troy and Kaycee both got to stay and partner up together.

I enjoy the podcasts as they do add some depth as to what really was going on. I do wonder what happened to Ben? I do wonder what was the bug everyone had? I rewatched All Stars 3 again just to see how the old goats play and it was fun to see KellyAnne and Kendall play. Kendall is a total mess playing. KellyAnne is interesting because she manages to survive the Treehouse's Mean Girls. KellyAnne always seems to find herself an underdog and can get herself to a final based on her own physical abilities. With all the harassment she and Tristan have face in Worlds I do want to see her in a final. Originally I heard that there were 10 episodes and now I heard there are 12 episodes and there are 7 teams left. I prefer the 4 to 5 teams in a final. It adds to the chaos which makes it fun for the viewer. Overall there is not that much time left and I do wonder what will happen. My preferences is that Danny/Tori and Sarah/Theo are left in the dirt and win nothing. Emily/Yes can wallow along side Sarah. So I am rooting for the other Aussies and UK, mainly KellyAnne/Tristan and Darrell/Kiki. Luv Troy but Kaycee not so much.

Team UK KellyAnne & Tristan Jordan & Kaz
Team AUS Emily & Yes Kiki & Darrell Troy & Kaycee

I’m also rooting for KellyAnne & Tristan - underdogs and always willing to think for themselves and stir things up, and Kiki & Darrell - underestimated, but maybe not so much now given their performance so far.

Season 1 Episode 9 - "Transform The World" - April 26, 2023
I am angry.
F**K Danny F**K Tori F**K Sarah F**K Jordan
Little f**k Theo for being a douche Little f**k to Emily for being a bitch Little f**k Kaycee for not trusting KellyAnne
I don't want any of them to win anything.
Unfortunately Troy, Kaz are attached to these people. Yes can go.
So who is left to root for?
Darrell and Kiki.
Danny is so f**king arrogant and thinks he rules the game. Sarah is so f**king arrogant and thinks he rules the game.
I want the both of the them to fail miserably, with their faces in the dirt.

I've been rooting for Kiki & Darrell since the beginning, but there were also other teams that I liked. But now they are the only team that I like. There are a few teams that I like one person but not the other. But I love both Darrell & Kiki, so I really want them to win it all!

Rats!
Urrrrgggh!
My only hope is Troy.
So glad that Kaz stood her ground and did not buckle under Jordan.
Stupid friends strategy.
I agree with Danny & Sarah ... strategy and not emotions and friends.
Emily is such a liar. I wish someone would call her out. Emily has been gunning for Kiki and Troy since Day 1.

I was hoping with Tori and Jordan both desperately wanting to go into elimination that maybe the producers would have let them form a team.
Because Tori says she has not "EARNED" the right to go to the final and because unlike the MVPs Jordan has HONOR.
How about both are NUTS.
