I know this is mean, but is anyone else enjoying seeing Mr and Ms perfect struggle with the new baby?

Wow. Lots of "body language" in that photo. Jer hanging onto his dad ('s money), and Auj projecting, "I'm going to hang on for dear life so I get a chunk of whatever Jer can get from Matt."

She'll eat when she's hungry. Not true surprisingly. My granddaughter was a bit small at birth (just under 6lb). My daughter & son in law were instructed to wake her to feed every couple hours for the first few weeks. They had to unwrap her from her swaddle and even remove her clothing to wake her up so she would feed. I never had that issue with my kids so I was surprised.

I am not enjoying watching an innocent baby struggle and have to deal with pain. Every time Jeremy has to massage those areas in her mouth it hurts. Also, I am sure the Dr told them to feed her on schedule even if she is sleeping as she is not gaining weight as she should.
J and A are like many new parents and think everything will be as they planned and perfect...welcome to parenthood cuz it is far from perfect.

J and A are like many new parents and think everything will be as they planned and perfect...welcome to parenthood cuz it is far from perfect. You are so right, phartblossom! As a mom of 3 kids, I can confidently say that it looks really easy FROM AN OUTSIDER'S point of view, but there's always issues with kids, from the time they're conceived, all the way through life. You never know how your pregnancy is going to go -- even if you've had kids before. You never know what a child's issues are going to be, even if your other kids didn't have those issues, etc. etc. etc. And for some reason, it's almost always a big surprise, (like with Jeremy and Audrey) whatever the issue. So now they're having a taste of some really frustrating problems, and at the time of this episode's filming, the baby was only 4 weeks old. So just wait J and A. This is only the tip of the iceberg. All I can say, is it's a really good thing that we love them (our children) so much, cause that far outweighs a lot of the difficulties we have to go through. One of my favorite sayings that I used to hear when my kids were around 2 years old was, "it's a good thing they're so cute at 2, cause if they weren't, they'd never make it to their 3rd birthday!"

And one of the few reasons I'd want this show to continue for many years is to watch Jer and Auj deal with Ember as a teenager (especially one who has learned her entitled attitude from her parents).

As someone that barely watches anymore....what is wrong with EMBER's mouth that they need to massage her mouth?

As someone that barely watches anymore....what is wrong with EMBER's mouth that they need to massage her mouth? Baby Ember was born with a mild deformity in which the inside of her upper lip was too tightly attached to her frenulum. This caused, among other things, difficulty in suckling, and so she had to have surgery to release her lip properly. After the surgery, during the healing process, her mouth had to be massaged frequently so that scar tissue wouldn't form and cause the problem to occur all over again. The poor little thing was in a lot of pain when she tried to eat, and so she could only take small bits at a time, not enough to properly nourish her, so she began to lose weight. And poor Audrey (never thought I'd be saying those words) was up almost every hour 24/7 trying to feed her, so neither Audrey nor Ember was getting much sleep. I don't know which one of them was more tired and crabby, but I think it might've been Audrey.

I think the slang term for what Ember had was "tongue tied". I think it's fairly common.

Wow!! He must really love her to leave the farm and his kids and grandkids. Wow. JustJuls , Amy is so toxic to be around. ESP to Matt. AZ is not all that far from Oregon. I say GO FOR IT. ENJOY your time with Caryn. Matt is slowing down he may as well enjoy his time with Caryn away from toxic Amy. I mean this past episode I watched, Amy was having a MELTDOWN because Caryn was holding Baby Jackson. SHUT UP AMY.

And I suspect he might have bought a home here with or without Caryn. He loves being in the dry heat. Kar - you and I are in 100% agreement. Matt has his faults . . . but Amy is toxic to anyone who isn't on her good list.

I'm so happy for Matt and Caryn! Good for them.
Hmmm... Maybe the new home in AZ would only be used for getting away from the farm for weeks here and there. I just don't see Matt cutting ties with the farm all together. However, if he did choose to completely leave Roloff Farms, I don't blame him. It's become apparent his children don't have the drive, ambition, character, interest, or sincere work ethic to run the farm in the manner Matt would love to see before handing over the reigns. Maybe Matt has resigned himself to the fact that he needs to concentrate on himself (and Caryn) and move forward and away from the farm to live out his golden years. Again... Good for him/them!!!

Amy won't be able to handle all that by herself, maybe they will sell the farm. I saw her get upset at Caryn holding Jackson and that is just very selfish. Kids need all the people to love them as possible.

Well, this makes me happy because I kept reading that Matt and Caryn had broken up & that she no longer worked for the farm. Anyone know how that rumor started?

Hooray! We're "home."
So is that Amy annoying or what? Caryn managing the pumpkin patch is "a painful reminder that (her) marriage failed," but her constantly canoodling with Chris isn't???
I hope she'll finally be happy when the farm goes bankrupt thanks to her carrying on about the past, and I also wish Caryn would sue her for defamation of character unless and until she can produce actual proof of what she keeping insinuating to her fan base (that Matt was unfaithful, although who could blame him?).
Now Matt is moving away, and she'll have no one to show off her fabulous "second act" for; what fun with THAT be?

Don't know if this was discussed but I wonder if there was something between Matt and Caryn well before the breakup. Maybe that is why Amy has a hard time being around her.
I know many of you dislike Amy but I don't. Just trying to understand her feelings.
