So apparently there was a puppet show with Zach's uncle Patrick Warburton which was cut from the episode. We go straight into the night portion of the group date. I think he likes Ariel and Greer. I wasn't paying much attention to the date as I'm not a fan of Christina and all the producer machinations to have her get the 1st 1 on 1 date. Where is Zach's family home located? I believe he now lives in Austin. |

Gabi thinks they are a little behind...seriously? This is the first week. Meanwhile, Zach is babbling around her and telling her he has butterflies. Hmmm...

Gabi wasn't handling the situation very well at all, but then she got some attention and now she's allll better. (eyeroll!)
I like Brianna's baby hairs! But she seems sensitive, though at least she went to the girl who offended her and discussed it instead of badmouthing her to others. Christina apologized, though personally, I didn't really think it was so bad.

I'm just annoyed that someone like Christina is even on the show. Do you think someone with her famous family connections is really interested in finding love on the Bachelor? I don't. I also read that she announced her divorce by saying she was going to appear on this show. I just wish parents would stop applying for this show. It's a rare single person that young who'd want a ready made family, imo. Perhaps if the lead were late 30s, it would be a different story, but I don't think any mid 20s guy would be on board.
40 years ago I became a stepmother to a beautiful 4 year-old boy, but I think times were different then.

It's funny that Christina's 1-on-1 was at Orange County Mining Company. It's one of those places in OC that hosts lots of event. I've been to a wedding reception, a big birthday party and even a memorial service there. The views are spectacular.

I haven't watched The Bachelor since Ari, and I enjoy this season. To me, it feels like vintage TV --- taking a huge step away from woke, which I find calming --- and must be why ABC decided to return to old school.
Yes, ABC couldn't care less how someone like me (who no longer fits within target demographics) feels, but they do care about ratings.
Now to my most important thought, and that is, Zach has a type! Yes, he's mayo and Wonder Bread, but the man is serious; I like him and looking forward to the rest of the season!

I found a lot of this so cringey. Apparently Zach in unable to convincingly project interest in women whom he has little to no interest iin, or the gift of gab— two crucial facets of a successful “bachelor. He resorts to kissing them when all else fails— which it frequently does. And they all seem desperate to kiss him as some sort of ritual stamp of approval.
Big bitch energy? — yuck. where did that even come from? I must have missed the memo on that. Rarely have I felt so happy not to be a “bachelorette.”
