August is ridiculous, why wait that long? And what do they have unscripted to fill all that summer BB time up? That one's kind of hard to believe.

Supposedly with and all-new cast, which is surprising. Maybe BB22/AS is still a painful recent memory in their minds...
Starting the season so late would lead me to believe that there isn't a celeb/AS season following it, but who knows...

It sounds like they were trying to do returnees but not enough "good" alumni said yes.  Too many rumors to really know what happened. From what I read they are starting late so that they will have something on in the fall...they are anticipating the strike to last for awhile. It's going to feel really weird actually spending time with my family this summer  |

CBS does say “all-new Houseguests” for the 25th silver anniversary, and that we can expect “a season full of twists, turns, and throwbacks to the last 24 seasons.” I guess that means they are prepared to go into November. Maybe that gives them a chance to add a one month special Celebrity BB if writers strike doesn’t end early? Following the August 2nd Wednesday night 90 minute premiere, they’ve confirmed we’ll be watching episodes as usual every Thursday (9PM ET/PT), Sunday (8PM ET/PT), and Wednesday (8PM ET/PT). Lots of promos with former cast members to hype the 25 season, showing up after almost every prime time show here. It’s still 2 months away, |

How many days is Big Brother 25? It's unknown how many days Big Brother 25 will last. Last season ran a total of 82 days, which was the shortest season since season 14 back in 2012.

I am just happy we are getting a BB even if it is not the lengthy season they usually are. What I do miss a lot is when the Pop Channel (years ago) would do Big Brother After Dark and we could watch the Houseguests through the late night. Although we don't know .... I am guessing it will likely be a shorter season depending on CBS and their Fall schedule of shows. |

I just hate that it's going to run into the fall shows - Survivor, Amazing Race, football, my cooking shows...ugh. I don't get their thinking. The writers' strike is still ongoing, and doesn't seem to have an end in sight, so I don't think there will be any scripted shows premiering in September like they usually would.
I would imagine CBS might shuffle BB's weekly schedule around to accomodate sports and other nonscripted shows as they premiere.

Tough as Nails .... I think I attempted to watch that show ONCE and well I stopped. They were remote on Catalina Island if that is the same show (anyone know)? It was a bore.  Wait sooooo " TAN" is coming on in place of BB25 starting July 2nd .........  And BB fans have to wait a WHOLE MONTH MORE? |

I'm shocked that Big Brother isn't premiering until August. I'm sure it is for the writers strike, but wasn't BB9 CBS' solution to the writers strike years ago? Things have changed since way back then and things weren't as scripted as they are now, of course. I hope Big Brother's schedule doesn't clash with the NFL's schedule. Ahh.

If you slow the speed down when watching the logo the background goes from comics to several snakes to the final one with what look like jack-o-lanterns.
