Oh, Haven. Girl. That wasn't a good song choice for her...

What, we only have until the last commercial break to vote? Yikes, I better get going!! Adam Lambert is a true star! Love seeing him. Tyson's performance was just okay to me, a little blah. The thing that stood out the most to me was his broken-heart shirt, and how I just saw it on a Love Is Blind cast member in black! I loved the song Warren sang, but didn't actually love the way he sang most of it. There were moments I did like! But, it wasn't the best. The "Peay Ewe" goat's milk soap shout-out was cool though. Haven's voice was just not a great fit for "Livin' On a Prayer" IMO. Near the end when she got a little wilder with it it was better, and her last note had potential, but most of it was not my favorite. Cool that Jon Bon Jovi was listening and watching her performance. Adam convinced Lucy to smile while she sings, which I think will help her. My family did not like her attitude last time, and it affected how they feel about her. I like her voice and think she is talented, so it didn't affect how I voted. I was glad to see she dropped much of that toughness and went with a happier more joyful persona this time.

Tyson has a nice voice, but not a powerful one.
I like the tone of Warren's voice, but I wish he'd sing something bluesy (I know it's supposed to be rock night). That arrangement of House of the Rising Sun wasn't good.
I'm just not a fan of Lucy. I hope she goes home this week, I'm still salty that several really good singers were sent home and they saved her.

Adam Lambert advised Oliver to spice it up or change it up (it was boring him), change guitars, or something ... and he basically didn't. Yeah, "nice" job but not at all memorable. Luke calls it a "timeless" voice, so even though there's nothing wrong with it, I think it's a blah, boring voice at this point. I miss what he did in the earlier rounds. His time may be up.
Yep, I'm one that LOVED Colin's performance last week (it was a "moment" Adam says, and I agree. It's what Oliver is missing.). He made a great song choice tonight too with the Allman Brothers song. Loving him more and more!

Nope, did not enjoy that song by Marybeth. I love "Dancing Queen" but that was horrible.

Oliver = boring coffeehouse singer. Meh. Loved the song choice for Colin, but I wish he'd put a little more attitude in it. Marybeth does a countrified version of Abba. It was just okay. I liked her outfit, though.

LOL, Ryan on a box to talk to giant Adam! Now THAT was how to sing with stage presence and confidence. These contestants have a lot to learn, after watching the professional!

I can't believe it was 13 years ago when I got to see Adam in concert in Myrtle Beach. Now it's impossible to get a ticket.

^ Lucky you!! We'Ani is rockin it out! She started off VERY strong! She looked good, looked confident, and seemed to have fun up there. The judges' faces while she was singing were serious or concerned, not sure which! At least it was a ROCK performance, not like many of these other contestants tonight! I liked it a lot.

Nutsa has a promising career in cruise ship singing ahead of her.

Iam with the Sam Cooke song was so good! The audience is chanting his name, Katy tells him he's "the one" and I believe there's no way he's going home tonight.

As it could be predicted, Lucy and Nutsa do not go through tonight.

Ha! The voters let the judges know they didn't want their two saves in the competition. Again.
They need to do away with judge's saves, anyway.

Sadly I almost would have had either one of the 2 that left if we could have booted Zachariah. I just don't like watchingh im and there are much, MUCH better vices and performers left.. hell, that went home.

I was not in love with any of the performances tonight---a boring show. For the first time I realized what you all have been saying about the band being just TOO LOUD!!!
I said a while back that America immediately cancels out the judges' saves.....so stop doing it and just give us the top whatever by the voters.
Thank heaven Adam saved the show----

Have the judges given any constructive criticism at ALL this season? It's always a lovefest. Decent performances so far. Wé Ani did well with a Whitney song, and that's hard to do.

Alanis and Ed Sheeran guest judging in place of Katie and Lionel next week - nice!

Alanis = God in a movie that is so hard to find - DOGMA. One of my favorites.
Ed Sheeran may need the payday depending on how his copyright trial turns out.
Love both; and NO Lionel!

It's pretty cool they get to be at the coronation. The contestants sure seemed excited about Ed Sheeran! Did Alanis say they'd be singing her songs, so is she the theme?
Wé Ani took on Whitney, and did pretty well! I have to give her credit for trying it. There were a few moments where I wondered, but all in all, great job.
Oliver was boring again tonight. Nothing against him, he did a fine job, but he just doesn't stand out. Haven was better than last night, but it still didn't do much for me.
I didn't mind MaryBeth's performance.
(convenient that the judges keep tying each other -- it makes it look fishy!)

Surprise, it's 3-3-3 for the judge's picks! So dumb.
That song was great for Megan's voice, and the story is touching too.

I love this Staind song! So, of course I really enjoyed this performance, and Colin has been getting better and better for me. Loved it!

I love that song by Staind also, but I wasn't as fond of Colin's performance. It needed more energy or emotion or something.

Oliver, MaryBeth, and Tyson are the bottom 3. But Katy gets to save one of them, for "winning" the dumb contest. Wow, she (they) picked Oliver instead of their Platinum ticket guy.
This made me laugh:
(wonder if the author of that post is related to Grocery Store Joe?)

Sheeran has said that if the trial finds against him he’s getting out of the music business. Wé was stunning with her Whitney rendition. Just stunning.
