Thomas can go cry into his piles of money......boo freaking hoo! I've always hated Thomas and will not miss his crazy old man self cackling like a sea gull and acting like a man ho. The whole Ashley situation was weird and watching the show I felt like they probably did hard drugs together and she had a lot of dirt on him. Kathryn has certainly battled her own demons but good for her for NOT wanting to be with him anymore and recognizing that it was really unhealthy for her to be involved in that relationship. I dislike her but I TOTALLY believe her in that Thomas would work her up about stuff in private, then take it public, and when she reacted he would try to gaslight everyone into believing that she was the only crazy one. Heck, I think I even said on the last thread on the previous site that last season I believed that Thomas was the one that was probably making drugs accessible to her. She IS crazy and has problems; but Thomas is slime and took advantage of her weaknesses because he's like 75 years older than her and filthy rich. I am glad she is doing better in life and hope for her kids sake that she truly makes the changes to turn herself around, reinvent herself , and become amazing. My heart broke for her when she went back to the plantation and said that when she lived there she and Kensie were living in the basement and she was trying to do everything Thomas wanted her to while she was recovering from giving birth and that POS was barking at her about having dinner 3 min. late and dangling marriage in front of her to mess with her head and manipulate her into doing everything he wanted. The drunken Thomas that angrily lurched across a table to scream at Chelsea this season is the real behind closed doors T-rav methinks.

Thomas = spoiled entitlement, fueled by alcohol and (probably) drugs - not a good combination for a man/child who has a very dark side. The REAL Thomas is finally showing up and his antics are catching up with him. This, along with his criminal past, does not bode well for his future. And to me, the REAL heartbreak about this is that he also has a light side which is charming, delightful and loving. It is so sad that he can't control his dark side to be able to reap the benefit of his better self. |

He seems fine and even wonderful with his children. Hopefully, he is like that with them off camera too. It's a sad sad shame that his dark side wins over that; like you said. I agree with Cameron that we don't even know the half of what Katheryn really dealt with regarding him. I hope she really tries and succeeds to fully protect those kids from the real Thomas.

Ok, good for Ashley to 'man up' and apologize to Kathryn and the Southern Charm family --- but that doesn't take away the fact that she is a horrible person! She was unforgivably nasty during her time on tv, and I can only imagine what day-to-day life would be like with this woman. Apologizing does not make one's words/actions disappear. It does, perhaps, help to soften the offenses, but one who lives the kind of life in which she can be so mean to people whenever she has a mind to --- no, one apology is a very small offering, in her case. (And, I think this apology was very likely done to redeem her OWN image, more than to make peace with Kathryn!!!) |

Too bad she didn't have enough self awareness and decency to see that what she planned to say to K.Dennis while on the trip and at the ball was the WRONG thing to say in the moment. Or apologize right after she said them. I totally believe this chick is on drugs. It's only the backlash she's received that's made her issue this statement; she's probably trying to get back on the show.

Gross; I officially hate all the guys on this show. They need to recast. Yeah, we definitely need some additional (new) guys on the show. But they should only PARTIALLY recast the guys. I'd definitely want Shep and Craig to stay on the show. It wouldn't be the same (or nearly as enjoyable) without them. I'm not particularly interested in Austin, so for me, he could either stay or go --- he's kind of a non-entity to me. Hmmm, I wish Cameron's husband would agree to be on the show. I think it could be really interesting to watch their dynamic, and I'm curious about his interactions with the other cast members. |

Those poor kids! I mean, child services should come in and just hand them to Kathryn. I know it's innocent until proven guilty but jeese, Trav and JD are both accused of rape and we have even had some bad behavior from Shep (forcibly trying to kiss his friend's gf).

Ugh, I really hope K. Dennis can get the upperhand in regard to the children's custody. If Thomas is going to continue to have Ashley in his life, the kids don't need to be around her or him with her.
And in regards to Craig and Shep, they aren't raping women, but I'm so over the whole I'm never growing up thing. Even if you never marry and have no interest and have gobs of money so you never have to work, at least do something productive in life.

Shep and Chelsea Just to set the record straight about Shep "forcibly" trying to kiss his friend's girlfriend --- THAT'S NOT how it happened, and WE SAW THIS ON SCREEN as it was happening. The girl was Chelsea, and Chelsea and Shep HAD DATED in the past (see pic above), and apparently had a physical relationship when they dated. (We don't know whether Shep necessarily had sex with her --- that wasn't made clear, but Chelsea had no problem acknowledging that she and Shep had dated. And Shep said he was hoping to go out with her again. So what WE SAW was the gang in a bar having drinks, Chelsea came in, Shep went over to her and met her at the door, and they were kind of flirting with each other -- Shep bent down to kiss her (NOT AGGRESSIVELY -- just normally, the way flirting couples do) and WE COULDN'T SEE what her reaction was, but it was over in a mili-second -- and he either pecked her on the lips or she turned her face away, a bit. We don't know. But that's all it was. Not some big seduction! Not anything terrible. Just an ex-dating couple being a bit flirty and the guy wanting to date her again, and going in for a little kiss. And by the way, Chelsea didn't become Austin's "girlfriend" until a while later. The more I know about Thomas Ravenel, the more disgusted I become.
He tried to come off as debonair and cultured. We'll see how that works for him in prison for the second time.

I really, really dislike Ashley. And I don't understand what she's doing! She can be quite a b*tch, but even so, I think she's definitely so much better than Thomas -- that I can't see why she is still trying to have a relationship with him. She could do soooo much better elsewhere.
In some ways I guess they deserve each other, but still. . .
