Peta said she wanted to do it, or are you referring to her partner? Partner. She hasn't had a good one in ten seasons; since Nyle in season 22. She's becoming the female version of Jonathan, with so many bad dancers.
I like the pairing of Aly and Sasha. I think they'll be great together. I do wonder if there wasn't another, shorter guy who they could have paired with Charity. Even though Artem's only 5'10", he's still going to tower over her. He'll be able to fling her around like a rag doll.
For what it’s worth, when Charity was on Kaitlyn’s podcast this past week, Kaitlyn said she thought Artem would be a good partner for Charity. She asked Charity how tall she is, and Charity said 5’ 3 1/2”, which Kaitlyn said is about the same height as she is. I thought Kaitlyn was taller than that. But if that’s true, Artem might work. He was good with Kaitlyn.

Yeah, I'm hoping Barry will be a decent dancer so she can stay a little while.

Critical check out Peta’s reels, she said Barry is doing great so fingers crossed! I hope that's true, although what is she going to say? "Dancing with this guy is like pushing a geriatric shopping cart around the dance floor"? Even last year, when she ended up with possibly the least talented dancer in the history of the show, she stayed positive and praised him. I think that's just part of the job of being a pro on this show.

Interesting... Mira Sorvino announced she is in the S32 cast. Others replied claiming that DWTS is a struck show (meaning it employs WGA writers even though it's a reality show), ao to work on it is crossing a picket line.
We'll see how this shakes out...

I read an interview last night with Cheryl Burke (who is starting a podcast talking about what happens behind the scenes at DWTS). She was asked about the strike, and she said solidarity is important, and they shouldn’t be moving ahead with the show right now.
She’s going to be Reality Steve’s podcast guest this week if you’re interested in hearing more about what she’s up to.

MissGriss - I listened to Cheryl on the RS podcast and she was really good. She's always been very honest about her life and she definitely was in this interview. It was a good one and RS knows his DWTS - he's watched from episode 1 (same!) - so he asked some good questions. Cheryl even commented on how he did his homework and that she'd tell the other pros to do his podcast. If anyone's interested, Cheryl started her own podcast, "Sex, Lies and Spray Tans," this week. She's had two episodes so far. #1 was with Trista Sutter and #2 was with Heather Morris. She told RS she's also interviewed Chris Soules and Maks, so those are coming up. I think it's going to be a fun show for fans of DWTS. Lots of behind-the-scenes stuff.

Honest question, what do writers have to do with reality shows?

Honest question, what do writers have to do with reality shows? On a show like DWTS, I think there’s only one writer who writes the hosts’ scripts.

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Sets Taylor Swift “Celebration” NightNovember 6, 2023 8:49am The sounds of Taylor Swift will be heard during “A Celebration of Taylor Swift” on ABC‘s Dancing With The Stars, on Tuesday, Nov. 21. The six remaining couples will dance to Swift’s biggest hits during the episode, with longtime Dancing with the Stars choreographer and lead choreographer of the Taylor Swift The Eras Tour, Mandy Moore joining as special guest judge. Couples, along with their dance styles and songs, will be announced at a later date. The episode will air from 8-10:01 p.m. EST/PST, 7-9:01 p.m. CST, simulcasting live across both ABC and Disney+ in local time zones and next day on Hulu. The night was planned long before Swift and Kansas City Chiefs’ running back Travis Kelce began dating, but we may see some promotion for the special episode when the Chiefs-Eagles game airs on ABC/ESPN the night before. It’s not known if Swift (a self-professed Eagles fan) will be in attendance for the game. Fans will be able to vote during the live simulcast of the show in the EST/CST time zones. Online voting also will be available to fans in any time zone in the U.S., its territories and Canada.
