Good for Eddie! I couldn't remember if I liked him, all I remember is that he and Rocky did 'laundry' together (wink wink). I liked how he handled himself in the first episode.

We'll see how it goes this season, but I think Eddie has the potential to come across really well. He's got the benefit of knowing how the show works and what comes across well. But having been away from it for a while, he's not wrapped up in being a TV star. Could be the best of both worlds. Of course, I realize that the same could have been said about Malia, so it could be a disaster of egotistical proportions!

What was he doing? Yoga when the rest of the team was working? Yes. What a moron. Lee ain't gonna tolerate that crap. You wanna do your yoga, then get up earlier & get it done before work, like anyone else who has a job!

Nope, C. Lee likes a good work ethic. Also, ask permission when changing straws out. And his hands all over the straws made me cringe. I respect your advocacy but ask permission.

I found it somewhat ironic that he's working on a super-yacht, but worried about the straws. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely all for saving our oceans, but working on a super-yacht feels contradictory in contrast to that, IMO.

I hear you on that, but since plastic is about the ocean I don’t see it as a major conflict. I was on a cruise last year - same line I’d been on several times before. I noticed they converted to paper straws, bottles of water were now aluminum instead of plastic. They had signs around explaining it was to protect the oceans they sail in. Some are all in with every aspect of environtmentalism. Others focus on some aspects but aren’t as passionate about others.

Some of these guests are terrible. The main guest that keeps trying to get involved with everything is annoying. Then the female guest that is acting extremely jealous cause the deckhand gave another guest a jetski ride. lol I don't know if she has grown up past junior high.

They are off the charts! I couldn't believe those ladies were fighting over a deck hand they don't even know Man...they must feel stupid.

Well, glad to see those obnoxious guests tipped very well! They sure did work the staff into the ground, so at least they weren't cheap asses when it came time to tip. This next group of kids...ugh, they act like they're at a frat party. Like the chef said, this food was a waste on them! I'm glad Izzy got out of the interior, she seems much happier as a deck hand. The new stew seems very sweet. I hope the other two don't walk all over her. Right now it's looking that way I can't stand the chief stew. I have YET to see her actually do anything but delegate work & then she roams about the yacht doing nothing! She just seems to walk around, like if she keeps moving, others will assume she's working? IDK, but so far I have been VERY unimpressed with her.

Seriously! Her hair looks so stressed out.
What is the draw to eat off of another human? Gross and dehumanizing.
'Sunshine' is driving me nuts, you know you are late and you still take your time getting ready? You tell your boss that you don't like his sarcasm? He needs vitamin Captain Lee!

Eating food off you lover in a one on one setting ... hot. Eating food off a total stranger while among a group of people ... tells the world things about you that you don't want to be said! Gross, dehumanizing, unsanitary, and downright wrong.

My thoughts exactly Acooker! I can't imagine hiring another human to be my plate for my amusement and display of wealth. Degrading.

The difference between Kate and her (what's her name? ) is that Kate's look is intentional. She has actually styled her hair...this one's hair is frazzled because she is actually frazzled

I think that Malia feeds on attention. She talks often about her older brothers and being the only girl in her family. I think that she grew up learning that if she was cute, she'd get attention and people would take care of her. She thrives on it. I wached some reruns of her first season in a marathon today, and everytime something good happened to her, she had to make sure everyone else knew. Sandy gave her a chance to take the boat out of the slip and she walked around the yacht making sure every crew member knew she'd be doing it. She didn't brag - she talked about the pressure and being nervous. But the need for attention is evident. I worked with someone who was the only girl in a family of boys. She was so used to getting attention and admiration for doing nothing that she got on my nerves so badly! She was really hard to take.

Wow, I don't buy into the 'millennial' stereotype, but man, those two deckhands are really making it seem real. A NAP???? You aren't having any FUN? Omg! #SMH
I love Eddie by the way, I thought his talk about confidence to the female deckhand was wonderful. I like it when leaders recognize a good job and say so.
I also love the chef. No tantrums or constant beef cheeks and she's handling everything beautifully.

I don't blame the deckhands as a generational thing - I think they are merely people who think that getting a job like that is for fun instead of WORK!
Totally agree with you on Eddie. So far, I think what he's showing this season is about the best bosun we've seen in a long long time.

I had forgotten about Captain Lee's blog. It is so refreshing to read after Sandy and her playing favorites and micromanaging. I love how he writes exactly how he speaks. thecaptlee.com/captains-log

Glad to share some Captain Lee! I really think he is just spot on evaluating each member of the crew. And I can't tell you enough how I loved his reading of Shane!

I agree! It shows that he's got his focus in the right place in terms of captaining a yacht. He's there to lead the crew and clearly is focused on it!

I LOVED that! I also like how Eddie knew how to manage Shane too, if he came down too hard on him he would pout (lol 'my chakras are out of line') and probably would not want to work.
I wish the Chef would get some real foodies on board so they could really appreciate what she does. She is fantastic.

He and Eddie handled that whole thing so well! Capt Lee was brilliant the way he asked Eddie about cleaner, and Eddie was fantastic the way he answered. They didn't stop the guests from doing what they wanted, but kept them mindful to not go too crazy.
After all the drama of Med, I did have to wonder if Sandy would flip out saying Lee put everyone in danger consuming alcohol while in charge of a vessel.
I also loved watching Capt Lee try to drag out the tour of the boat giving all kinds of boring details about how everything worked!
