I think that’s the case! And the daughter seems entirely too young for it!

Glad to see the family of 9 go! I feel bad they have to pick up a charter the very next day.
I agree with Daisy during the tip meeting. The guys should have stepped up more for the drag night and they only did it because capt Glenn was there.
Natasha is very underwhelming as a yacht chef. Just steak and lobster? No starter? No vegetable on the plate? Very boring.
And now the 3 drunkenly jump in the water at the end?! We know what captain lee would do.
Which is making me wonder with this season being filmed during Covid if they had backup crew members quarantining the whole time in case someone was fired. Otherwise it would take weeks to get someone. Curious if this will have to come into play at all this season.

Great question on replacements DoodleMom! Now I kind of want someone to be fired to see how it would play out!
I think that Daisy had a good point, but wasn't effective in making it because she was too vague. When it came to dressing up to entertain the guests, the guys should have stepped up without any push back. But with some of the other tasks that she expects them to step in to help with, she also needs to be taking a look at why her crew is falling behind. This charter was no doubt more difficult for the chef and interior crew because they are the ones directly impacted by how many guests there are. But they also fell behind when there were only 4 guests on the last charter. THe solution to that can't be entirely "well people who are on the yacht for totally different jobs should be doing this".
It was also good editing to show her complaining about guy's downtime and not helping as the deck crew was cleaning up and she was with the stewardesses laughing and drinking champagne.

Yes, I didn't think of replacements at all!
OMG, my heart lept when they jumped in the water. After all of that drinking? At night????? Not good.
I was still confused about the whole situation, this 9 person family confuses me. I thought the man who's birthday it was getting engaged - because that would make sense. Nope, it was his ex-husband who was proposing to the ex-boyfriend of his daughter. So he was proposing on his ex-husband's birthday. And yes, that calls for cotton candy.
I agree with Daisey, Chef should not be mentioning anything to those guests about anything she isn't one-thousand percent sure she can pull off. She has to step it up and be more aware. I also agreed that the deck staff shouldn't fight her when they have 9 demanding guests on board. Service is everything. If you have time for a smoke, you have time to make sure that the guests won't complain.

I agree! But it would not surprise me at all if they made a return trip on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3. They are exactly the kind of guests producers love to bring back.

I can't believe how many times I have rolled my eyes this past episode. The Chef is so hard-headed, her life would be so much easier if she actually listened to Daisy. Gary is gross, you slept with your deckhand and just swam naked with her....and you are mad that she climbed into bed with you? Yeah, not her fault. You are sending signals Gary. And the rest getting upset about nonsense. The only one I really like is Daisy. And Glen. And the engineer who volunteered to help with the clean-up.

Gary is the worst. He wants all the attention and adoration from both women - he just doesn't want to give anything in return.
I'm done with the chef! Knowing egg preparations is the most simple basic thing in cooking. I've heard of multiple very accomplished Michelin star chefs who give egg cooking tests as a job interview for potential hires because it's universal and displays so much control of technique. Daisy is working her butt off to help her be a superstar, and she's just not having it!

Yeah, if you are working on a boat that caters to Americans, you have to know American breakfast verbiage. You can't go by what you want them to eat or what you think the term means. Plus, eggs are very basic requests. It's not as if they are asking for crazy items, Americans eat eggs for breakfast. And the chef's outrage that she was told by Daisy that they were big portions...where do you think Daisy is getting that intel from? Yes, I think it might be the guests that she is serving.

It was interesting to see how everything played out with the challenge of having JL working nights and not doing anything. In truth, I don't think the problem with him is that he's distracted by Dani. I think it's that he's not a very motivated worker, and when he knows he's not being supervised, he's not going to work hard. And Gary isn't handling it very well, because he's not willing to do the hard work disciplining him - great example being when he overslept and instead of dealing with it himself, Gary sent Sydney to wake him up. But it was interesting the way that he set Daisy up to come across as not being a team player by not waiting to move Dani off nights. In truth, they've both got a weak link, and both of them are choosing to handle it with scheduling instead of by directing reprimanding the problem crew members.
I give Natasha credit for understanding exactly how to handle herself on TV. She was on WWHL last night, and did a GREAT job of using it to redeem herself. She was asked about some of the criticisms she'd had of Daisy, and she said that having watched the show and seen all the things she didn't see on the boat, she'd changed her mind. She owned up to making mistakes on eggs, and said she felt bad about pushing back on Daisy's guidance once she saw that her feedback was truly was truly coming from the guests. As stubborn as she was on the show, she showed a lot of flexibility and growth after watching it back. It was refreshing!

I saw that too and it was refreshing! I kept thinking back to that blond kid who made mistake after mistake and on the reunion had no regrets and was defensive. What maturity that Natasha had to look back and see her mistakes and say that she was wrong. I also agree with you about Gary and JL.

I made exactly the same comparison in my mind Beerbelly! Perfect extremes of how NOT to do WWHL, and how to use it effectively!

Putting this in spoiler tags since this has happened post season and may be addressed eventually... {Spoiler} http://instagram.com/p/COEQzZOLIgS Dani is pregnant! There are rumors that it is JL’s baby and he wants nothing to do with it and that he didn’t film at the reunion. Not sure if that part of it is true but Dani finally announced she is pregnant as speculated

Based on what was shown in last night's episode, it seems like Dani carefully coordinated her announcement with Bravo to match the episode!

This cast is a mess, but now that I've figured out who they are I enjoy it! I have to say I was really really impressed last night with the way that when Sydney was trying to use Dani to spread gossip through the crew, she read through it immediately and kept her mouth shut. Of course, Sydney is so determined to be the center of everything that she still found a way to get the same info out there.

Ohhhh...Sydney is in full sabotage mode. She's doing all she can to make Alli and Gary feels as uncomfortable as possible. She must be cringing watching herself...on tv.

She’s in sabotage mode, but given Ali’s response, she’s also kind of validated. Gary no doubt started out playing both of them. Had she not spoken up, how would Ali have felt watching it discovering Gary (could have) slept with both of them? Bottom line - Gary is the more problematic one. I think the focus should be on him.

Sydney...did all she could to make sure Gary and Allie had no chance. Why? She slept with Gary after a drunken evening on their "first" night off. Gary was taking her to bed saying "we are not a couple"...Sydney seemed ok with it. Gary is a dog but he didn't hide it. Sydney creeped me out all season...acted broken hearted but really it was all about her pride. She landed the "hot guy" on the boat and didn't want the "hot guy" to actually fall for another crew member. Sydney's ego couldn't take Allie being Gary's choice, "I know I'm a better catch". Sydney's motivation throughout last night's episode was to make Allie feel like crap. Why...what did Allie do? Maybe Sydney should join Sandy and Malia.

It's bad news that Gary is using Sydney to get back at Ali...for a ton of reasons, but mostly that he is her supervisor.
How great is Colin? He is giving great advice left and right and helps out a ton.

Getting caught up with some of the season. Did Dani really call JL a pu**y and then hook up with someone else? Wow
