The rats that were conveniently in the rooms so Christina could scream at them and make faces.

I thought Christina was taunting him. She wouldn't shut up about him dating. Almost jealous to me. I think Tarek has issues and I am not sure this is going to work. To much water under the bridge for both of them. She was picking on him, but I don't know that it was jealousy...could be. Either way, he didn't take it well. From what I've read, she's done better dating-wise. I still think he's a douche. I just hope they can be civil, they do have kids to think about.

BOISE BOYS ... you know I have been watching this show I kept thinking I had seen Clint before ... absolutely NOT SURE where at all so I googled him and he was on THE APPRENTICE like 8 years ago. I believe he came in 2nd place it said. I knew I had seen him on TV before. Luke and his wife adopting all those special needs children ... so so so so SPECIAL. There is a very special place in HEAVEN for a couple like Luke and his wife!!! I loved that HOUSE......loved everything they did to it!!! AND thrilled Luke and his family will be moving in there!!! HAPPINESS!!! I just LOVE this show!!! They impress me over and over again!!! NOW FLIP OR FLOP.........30 MINUTES OF A PILE OF CRAP WITH THOSE TWO. Hubby and I are DONE. We are not spending a season watching those two TAUNT each other or FLIRT with each other or be RUDE to each other or make continued dumb arse comments to each other. If those two think we, the viewing audience, signed up for that .......... noooooooo way. Bye Bye.

That's fun to learn more about the history of Luke's kids. That last line caught my eye. Did Luke actually build that house on the last show knowing he would move into it? Or did he start building a different home and decided he wanted the Boise Boys one instead? Either way, I'm glad he ended up in that house. But if it's true that he built the house for himself, that whole thing at the end of the show was a staged conversation that wasn't really honest.

For Clint to cave so readily, I'm sure it was pre-determined. What's sad is that they couldn't admit to it right off the bat, but that would destroy the premise of the show which is flipping. They also had to have the open house to continue the fiction, but that is television.
I'm not disappointed, but the could have been more open a tad earlier in the show and not at the open house scene.

I agree about Christiana taunting Tarek about many things but I truly believe it was all staged for ratings. Geez...it was almost scripted! Ridiculous.
I think people would watch the show, or not, simply for the value of the show and not to watch them bicker (or pretend to bicker). Production should give these two people some credit and allow them to flip houses together without too many arguments. I understand that their fairly recent divorce is the hook to get viewers but I think it's unnecessary.
Edited to add:
Holy Smoke. That's it!!! I knew I recognized Clint from somewhere. The Apprentice. That's it.
He did come in second place. I can't remember who beat him for first place. Anybody remember?

I don't know, he was crying when he was talking to Clint about it. Either he's the type to get sentimental and cries really easily, or it was genuine.
On the Timber and Love Insta, they thanked everyone for all the emails and messages they've received since the show started. Over 1.2 million people watched the season finale! No word on renewal yet, but they said they will let everyone know if it happens.

But if it's true that he built the house for himself, that whole thing at the end of the show was a staged conversation that wasn't really honest. Well, I have to also think that this show was probably filmed a year ago so if you consider that and the timing of the article it's makes sense. I do think that I can see Luke thinking about buying the house when they where building it and discussed it with his partner and then I can see the production company sorta scripting the decision to fit in the story line of the episode. Regardless, that was a beautiful piece of property and far back enough from the creek to not worry too much about flooding. I totally appreciate the matte black finishes, the ceiling, the backsplash, the mix of concrete, wood, and black tones which we have been seeing for a while. I did wonder for such a large house (3,000 sq ft) there would only be three bedrooms for the six kids, but it is obvious that they will be sharing rooms. I must note that it takes a special couple to adopt special needs kids and mucho kudos to them. As a bit of a sidenote one of my co-workers has 9 kids, 4 biological kids and 5 adopted from China. Their youngest son has several handicaps and many psychological issues many stemming from being "dumped" by his biological parents into the Chinese orphanage system and not having any one really be nice to him while his was there. The Chinese do tend to target Americans with these "special needs" kids partly because American has systems in place for health care and they know Americans who want to adopt are open to the idea. Not all adoptions are nice and easy and brimming with love and happiness. I do think what Luke and his wife are doing is very admirable and it is a huge commitment. Bless them, and wish them Good Fortune.

Did anyone watch Drew and Linda say I Do? I know it was on TLC, but he's an HGTV star, sooo...
It was really nice. I loved Linda's dress, and the fact that all the men were in kilts. Drew had his mom and Linda's mom walk him down the aisle, while Linda had Drew's dad and her father walk her down the aisle. Considering how they considered this marriage also a joining of their families I thought it was a nice touch.

I saw it and cried happy tears throughout. Having all four parents involved in the escort was lovely. And, the dance choreographed by Drew's DWTS partner (can't remember) was so fun. At first I wasn't sure about her wedding dress, but then I rather liked it. I noticed she wore traditional white to the reception. Lucky girl to have two of her bridesmaids work as make up artists. Oh, and the "wedding" in the backyard for the nieces and nephews was so precious.

Anyone watching Home to Win in Canada?
Not liking this one as much as last years. Great job on the outside but the inside is terrible. What the heck was with that green bathroom and the busy hall walls the guys did.

Good Bones: A big old house in a new neighborhood, one of Karen's favorite things!
Loved the beautiful staircase, and was glad they were able to save it. Was sad about the pocket doors, but at least they were able to make a table out of one of the panels. I was amazed at all of the attic space that Karen discovered, and was glad they were able to utilize it into a game room. The kitchen cabinets were great; what color was that? Blue-green? Either way, I am glad of the trend away from all white kitchens. Not sure whether or not they were able to salvage the clawfoot tub or not but I liked the master bath. Overall, they did a really good job on the house.

Hidden Potential was good this week. The outside of that house went from your average boring suburban enclave to WOW! I was glad that she replaced the white wall that everyone had enclosing their front yard to a retro wooden fence, which gave the same amount of privacy but looked better. The heavy brick columns in front of the house were also replaced with thinner wood ones. The garage door with the fan windows was replaced with a wooden one with side windows. Is this the beginning of a trend? Boise Boys used a similar door last week. I loved the honeycomb bookshelves and the flooring to match, and the new windows in the living room. The whole vibe was mcm, and very unique to the neighborhood.

I'd be curious to know if the Good Bones house finally sold and for how much. As I recall, someone here is good at sleuthing that kind of thing. If you know how to find it, I'd love to know what happened to it. It was a lovely good-sized home, and I hope it found a happy owner. And Mina is pregnant! That's cool. (In real life, she's probably already had the baby, but it was fun to find out on the show.) Fun article about her being pregnant. Her husband looks like Tobey Maguire! Me thinks the current head of the EPA targeted the Gaines ... wonder if they will go after Flip or Flop. This article claimed: The article did not claim the Gaines didn't rebate lead paint if found they stated the show did not depict "safe practices". That is so lame. It comes across that is was cheaper to settle than to fight this out in court. Seriously, who gets EPA certification for home renovations?

I hope they don't go after Good Bones. Those houses are ancient, and I'm always shocked that they don't use masks more when doing demolition.
Now that I think about it, most of the renovation shows are dealing with houses that are old enough to have lead paint. What are proper procedures, and do any of them follow them?

It is pretty obvious that they film over several months and several homes, in regards to Good Bones. It is so funny when they show Mina's dog Frank as at times he is a puppy and others full grown and anywhere inbetween. They cannot show everything and the show is meant to be entertaining and not educational. At this point we all know or should be aware that lead was a component in paint in old homes. I just didn't realize that even homes in the 70's had lead paint. per Google:

Last week, Mina carried him into the house, and the week before that he was really big and "helping" them install the wooden floors. This week, he was fully grown. I imagine they show a lot of things out of order from how they completed them IRL.

I remember seeing them do asbestos abatement on several houses, and I'm quite sure they've run across lead paint in those old houses. I don't see how the EPA can nail a heavily edited TV show for not showing every little detail - it's not a how-to, it's for entertainment, basically. Bunch of BS. Anyhow, I sound like a broken record but I loved the house on Good Bones yet again. That smoky blue cabinet color was fantastic, as were the exterior colors and the watery blues inside. I tried snooping around for that house to see if it sold and for how much, but I can't find it...

Good Bones - love this show but sometimes it scares me as to how hard they work for so little profit. I know they were not doing that many houses a year but had to increase from 3 or 4 a year to at least 12 so the production company can have enough episodes to film and air. It puts the ladies a bit on the edge financially as they purchase the homes and carry the debt not the production company and not HGTV.

Just finished watching this weird flipping show with a husband and wife where the wife was serving up entirely too much drama, lol. At one point, they started arguing like the camera wasn't there. They rehabbed this sweet older home, but the husband looked scared to tell his wife they went 20k over on the rehab. She was like, let's sell at 15k over what we originally thought! It sold, and they made 85k off the deal so I fail to see what all the drama was about.

Flip or Flop. Always with the fake drama, and there's almost never a "flop." I did think the house looked really nice, I don't know that I've ever seen them do a little Craftsman style like that. The sage green/gray color was pretty, as were the textured subway tiles...and I'm glad they left that orange tree in the back alone, I was yelling at the TV for them not to cut it down.
