Personally, I don't think he did that great of a job, but, this was his first time hosting. He is overly enthusiastic about BB being nominated for an Emmy. I do think it's crazy that fans actually think he has control over the feeds.
"Wait, you’re not the one controlling the feeds?
Jerry: I have nothing to do with the live feeds. Please stop DMing me. By the way, they were DMing my wife! My wife said to me this morning, "What is this? What do you have to do with the live feeds?" I went, "Just ignore it. They think I have to switch on the live feeds."
Poor guy
ETA: I watched the episode again, and he was good. Julie reads Chenbot style and I think I was used to emotionless, uncommitted responses. Jerry used inflections. I enjoyed his version of hosting when I realized he was being natural.
