Boy, that heat was brutal. The racers with parents are so good. Last season all we heard, was" come on dad" umpteen times a leg. I still don't get the colour correction task, but I would have dropped that for the balloons.
Twin #1 "I don't know who Elizabeth Taylor is."
I'm officially older than dirt! LOL
I don't know how long mum will make it, but when she lay down, I told DH the son should continue with the makeup ,and he did!

Enjoyed the episode but that heat was brutal and you could tell some of the racers were getting signs of heat stroke. Luv luv luv the relationship with the team eliminated. Chris & Mary, what a beautiful father and daughter relationship. No yelling or shouting just continuous support and respect. Wish they had a chance to get further into the game. Angie & Danny, the mother and son, I wish Danny had not helped Amber & Vinny, the dating nurses as I really wanted Chris & Mary to stay in the race.
Was that the TAR medic helping Angie with the cold towel?
OMGosh, so many of the teams running around like headless chickens, what a mess. The Military Pilots, The Girlfriends (dark purple), and the Lady Firefighters at least where not panicking and did their tasks. The Twins & Cousins are really starting to annoy, especially the cousins. This cast has some very strong teams and I can see this being a very tight race. The older teams are coming in very fit and their life experience should help them in their tasks. I felt Double Dutch got lost a lot and wasted time but they didn't yell at each other, they didn't blame each other, and female Double Dutch had a really good attitude.

LOL I don't know how long mum will make it, but when she lay down, I told DH the son should continue with the makeup ,and he did! The color correction task was really quite simple. (Not bashing anyone here) There was a banner of colored about 12 to 14 paper flags strung in a certain color order. For example red blue green YELLOW PINK purple red. All the banners would have the same set of colors in the same order. Because there were 12 teams in the race there probably would be 12 sets of strings with the colored banners that would not be in the correct color order. For example red blue green PINK YELLOW purple red.
The teams had to cut out the banner with the wrong color order and replace it with the correct color order.
The problem was that there were a lot of banners and they way they were hung they could be hung in reverse order as they looked identical from both sides.
This was a communication issue. First the teams really needed to understand what they were looking for and second they needed to find a way to compare the banner they had to the banners that were hung up. In addition both members of the team had to be on the same page as far as understanding exactly what they were looking for and how they were doing it. This was mental task and the teams were already tired and simply were not focused and not thinking, add in a bit of heat exhaustion and dehydration and you have teams switching tasks.

I stay in the pool in Puerto Vallarta for a reason Those two episodes were my all time favorite episodes of TAR ever, well besides Derek and Claire winning. It was SO much fun knowing exactly where they were and knowing who was going off track, I knew right away that the cousins had gone too far. Downtown PV is not big. The area where they were doing the face painting is right outside our condo building....and then they had to trek way back to (and past) where the iguana bridge is to get to Casa Kimberly. It's really not THAT far but in the heat and going up hill...it is. Loved these episodes!

Another great episode. I loved the team that was eliminated, so kind. I cried a little with the mom /son team too at the very end, but I don't think they are long for the race. But lots of teams I am already rooting for! The grandparents really grew on me this round. :heart

I don't know who Elizabeth Taylor is. I'm officially older than dirt! LOL I think Cleopatra was the start of the Burton/Taylor love affair. They were married/divorced, then remarried and divorced. She is also well known for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (won Academy Award Best Actress). Started acting as a young girl starring in National Velvet. Cat on Hot Tin Roof. She was well known for 'falling in Love easily', marrying and divorcing. Her husband list includes:
Conrad Hilton, Michael Wilding, Mike Todd, Eddie Fisher, Richard Burton, Richard Burton, Senator John Warner, and Larry Fortensky (whom she married at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch then divorced 5 years later).
She helped raise money (something like $270 Million) for HIV awareness.
She has won Golden Globes, British Academy of Film Awards, Tony Awards and Critic's Choice awards. Numerous humanitarian awards. Was said to be as beautiful inside as she was physically. I just watched her recently in a 2001 movie that she did with Debbie Reynolds, Joan Collins and Shirley MacLaine.
I think she was famous for a lot of things, but my first memory of her was National Velvet and for stealing her best friend Debbie Reynolds husband Debbie and Elizabeth eventually ended up laughing over their respective Eddie Fisher marriages.

In those days actresses really couldn't sleep around so they married boyfriends and not real prospects for marriage. The studios even arranged marriages between stars and that allowed them to have their side pieces.
The Elizabeth Taylor stealing innocent Debbie Reynolds husband was a HUGE scandal in the day. BTW Debbie Reynolds & Eddie Fisher were Carrie Fisher's (Princess Leia from Star Wars) parents.

"His daughter was so kind to him (not like last year's daughter)"
I was thinking during the episode "I hope Anna Leigh is watching". That's how you should treat your Dad".

In the color correction task the color order was P+O+G+W+Y+Pk+B+ltG+R+B or purple+orange+green+white+yellow+pink+blue+lightgreen+red+blue
