Phil didn’t address the crew getting lost thing. But, Angie did suddenly pull a right turn from the left lane where she and the crew were driving. That was probably an illegal driving move and the crew couldn’t follow it. But, i don’t understand why they could not reconnect quickly. Should she have stopped, would that have helped? It looked like they drove to the clue box and waited for the crew to finally get there. I guess the crew wasn’t as good at navigating because they just have to follow their team.  |

I'm so sad!  Stupid rule! If there was crew at the road block sight they should be able to continue. It's not their bad the crew took so long. If they decide to take a turn...which was apparently the RIGHT turn, then they shouldn't be given a penalty. Waaaa! They were my favorites! |

I'm probably older than Angie, and even I could manage to sing a couple of lines of "Single Ladies." That is Beyonce, not Rihanna  I could have at least managed Umbrella, ella, ella in this case lol. Not to mention Diamonds, Stay (Which I like the 30 Seconds to Mars version MUCH more) and then the whips and chains excite me song. I am honestly ok with them going they were never high on my list. I like the pilots and LOVE LOVE LOVE Ricky and Cesar. I think at this point they are in my top 5 fave racers ever, I was so happy to see them again nab 1st place. |

I'm so sad! Stupid rule! If there was crew at the road block sight they should be able to continue. It's not their bad the crew took so long. If they decide to take a turn...which was apparently the RIGHT turn, then they shouldn't be given a penalty. Waaaa! They were my favorites! I sympathize entirely Juls. Danny talking to camera made it clear that it was a big No No. But, why is it that after all these years, we are just learning of a penalty if they lose their crew? Were they the first team ever? Or, is the rule a recent one because it was happening all the time previously?
I'd like to know how long the penalty was.... an hour would make a huge difference.

"Since the race was filmed back in 2022, Danny has apparently changed his mind about who was at fault. In an Instagram post, Danny wrote, “to go out in what might be an amazing race first… the crew losing a team (because you know we didn’t turn the wrong way in the roundabout 😘) legendary.” In other words, they’re not taking the blame for the screw-up. There may be good reason for that. In an interview today with Mike Bloom, Angie revealed that their crew van never arrived at the Detour. “We never did see our crew,” she said. Danny said producers “had us say a line that’s like, ‘Hey, our crew has arrived.’ Out [sic] crew hadn’t arrived.” As to their decision to drive directly to the Detour, Danny said all team members “had been debriefed by security that morning. And they said, ‘If you ever feel unsafe, or you lose your crew, make your way to the next location, and wait for your crew to get there.'”
Once they arrived at the Detour, they discovered “we’re about five to ten minutes behind” Cesar and Ricky. “And we just wait. And wait, and wait. I’m sitting there going, ‘What’s the rule? Give us a penalty on the mat. This is something that’s never happened before on The Amazing Race.'”

Another article said that at one point, Producers almost saved them from elimination, but let it play out. I guess that crew got really lost. They ended up giving Angie and Danny a new team to finish the race.
What a heartbreak, to go from about 10 minutes behind Ricky and Caesar to being eliminated because your crew got lost and couldn't find the Detour spot.

No my team got eliminated just because the crew could not keep up. I would like to know how long Danny and Angie waited.
Outside of Rickie and Ceasar and maybe the pilots the remaining teams are idiots and can't navigate.
I wish Danny and Angie were still in the race.

It's not Danny and Angie's fault their crew got lost, they should have GPS. Totally not fair.
Why did the radios not work? Or where they satellite phones? That entire thing just rubs the wrong way.
A 10 or 15 minute delay I understand and is recoverable but to wait because their crew was lost needs to be addressed.
It has been two years but I do hope Danny can be on the race again. His calm and navigational skills were awesome skills and this season showcase how important they are.

Yeah, they finally gave them a new crew after they sat there waiting one hour. Producers said that was enough of a penalty and gave them a new crew.

Wow. I'm even more upset. This shouldn't have happened. Their crew never arrived and they had to sit and wait for ....no one?! This doesn't seem right. It sounds like they did everything right by making their way to the next location. They were only 5 to 10 minutes behind and ended up going home for it. Nah...not liking this rule.  They deserve a second shot, imo. |

Danny and Angie are not my favorite team and I despite them continually impressing me I did not see them winning it all anyway. But they could have been top 3. And they should have definitely been given the chance to go out on their own. They went out with class and I hope they either both or at least Danny gets a chance to go again soon!
The nurses have got to go! Giving all us nurses a bad name. lol!
Still rooting for Ricky and Caser! Love them so much. So talented so cute. If not them, the pilots, very nice guys. And yeah, I know the super athletic is boring but they have families and great attitudes even when in last so its cool. And them of course the dating female team. They are nice but I just dont see them winning it. Or anyone but Amber and Vinny!

They weren't my favorite team this season, but yeah, what a crappy way to go out. Something was definitely up when they showed them talking about losing the crew, because even though we know they're there, they're never talked about. Pretty unfair.

Danny and Angie were an underdog team and I was very impressed how well they were doing especially against teams that were much better on a physical level. I was totally rooting for them because Angie was an older person who I don't think was physically ready for the race, and for Danny the brainy nerdy super fan. It was so nice to see a team that kept somewhat calm and used their brains to get ahead. It was such a shame for what happened as they would have definitely placed second right behind Ricky and Ceasar.
The only couple I would not like to see win are the Nurses. There was a really weird dynamic with them this episode. Vinny just takes off driving in one direction because he feels a certain road would be in that direction. Who does that? No wonder they get lost so much.

FYI: Danny and Angie interview with Golden Derby. www.youtube.com/watch?v=We8YfwoBwa0&list=TLPQMjIwNTIwMjSNzGErbBIZyA&index=4Danny and Angie waited for 45 to 50 minutes waiting for their TV Crew to show up. That crew had a local driver. All the teams had arrived and they were allowed to start about 25 - 30 minutes after Rob and Leticia had started and were able to make up time building the fishing nets and lost to Rob and Leticia by about 7 minutes. That is amazing.
