Oh by the way, Vinny carried a 'fake ring' through out TAR, because he was terrified he would lose the real one. They shared one back back the entire season, but, he still managed to surprise her with the proposal.
(They also acknowledged that they did therapy, and thanked the people that were supportive of them.)
Were Danny and Angie at the finish. I don't remember seeing them. Yes, but it was just a fast glimpse of Danny shouting and clapping. I’ll have to check the Finale photo for Angie. ETA Yes, both were there, right next to Firefighters.

It was odd how they didn't show them if they were there. I thought the same thing about not seeing them. But I didn't go back to check if they were in the group shots. But they certainly didn't interview them at all. Maybe CBS was afraid of more controversy? Their exit was complicated, fans were upset. Plus Angie and Danny spoke out about it already, so maybe some sweeping under the rug.

(They didn’t show them much.) But then I caught a brief glimpse of them. Vinny had his hair down, and they were mostly shot from the back.

Just starting to watch the final.
OMG...please no, Ricky and Ceasar don't come in last. I so don't like the nurses and don't want to see them in the top three.
OMG.OMG.OMG...what do you mean the carabiner is stuck!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, higher power, R&C are still in the race. It looked really close like 30 seconds close.
Then the producers had to spoil the nurses elimination by the proposal. Amazed Vinnie didn't lose the ring box.

At the one hour mark with the top three teams in Philly. At this point I am OK with any of the three winning. This could be a runaway win or a very tight race. Navigation is key as is reading the clues. Oh, course Ricky was born in Philly and knows his way to the football stadium. The mascot challenge was fun. Philly cheesesteaks vs Pizza. This might be the crucial point. The pilots are in New Jersey. Oh vey, will they be able to make up the time? Then off to the Square House to memorize the intro to the Declaration of Independence. This is where reading and writing in school is so important and learning your English grammar. Remember when you had to learn a poem and recite to your teacher. We even had to come up to the teacher's desk and read aloud from a book. Do they even do that anymore? I mean they don't teach kids to hand write anymore or cursive, but I heard that is coming back. Poor football player, he is getting messed up on all the small words. Attention to details is not his friend. Maybe the pilots can catch up? Oh, no, the next challenge is another memorization puzzle and make an early American flag.
After listening to the speech I would go back to the table and lay out the flag and the stripes with Delaware as the first stripe and go back and listen again and again and again.

Letitia there are 13 stripes on the flag to represent the 13 founding colonies and on that flag there should be 13 stars as well. These peoples listening skills suck. Amazing, the pilots have caught up.
Ricky & Cesar please don't mess up on the insides of the bell. Aaaagh!

So glad Ricky & Cesar won. I normally don't like all male teams winning especially if they are these athletic types. But R&C are not your stereotypical jocks they are teddy bears. They also had very good attitudes and always gracious winners and not arrogant ones. In fact all three top finishers were really good partners to each other.
The only bad thing about this show is that the R&C had to wait over 18 months to get their winnings.

Aww military bros used a phone to find Gino’s but chose pizza and not steakhouse and they went the wrong way. Not only the wrong way, but out of the city to New Jersey. Amazed they were able to catch up to Rod and Letitia.

If Juan and Shane had not gone to NJ, they could have beat Caesar and Rick. But, I’m happy for Ricky and Caesar.Rod and Leticia did a great job as a couple and winning third place. Would they have? Don't think so. It would have been close. Maybe.

Navybelle, sounds like you stayed on I94 instead of switching to the toll way. Fortunately, that was just a short detour to your Annapolis adventure. I was hoping that Shane or Juan whichever one has a daughter in need of medical equipment made enough to buy it. Second place I think gets $100,000.

Congrats to Ricky and Cesar! It was well deserved. I thought, of course Ricky grew up in Philly, and of course he was a mascot!! They were good at so much, and got so lucky too. I was disappointed for Rod and Leticia, but they still did very well. And when they stumbled on these last few challenges, I guess that was fitting that others passed them. New Jersey? That reminds me of a trip my sister and I took, heading east out of Chicago headed for Annapolis. When I saw a big sign saying "Yes, Michigan!" I knew we did something wrong. NO, not Michigan! hahaha! But wow, those guys really made up some time, and did great. I liked them, they both seem like genuinely good people. This is such a great show, I'm sad it's over again! Now we won't get another season until after football next year? Is that what I read? Basic reading, writing, English grammar that they should teach in elementary school. Don't kids have to read out loud anymore or recite poems? Also not paying attention to details is what hurt this team. They did have perseverance and a good attitude.

I have to say though at the end of the race, I was surprised that Juan and Shane (one hour behind teams one and two) caught up and overtook Rod and Leticia. I really do think that since they were one hour behind, if they had gone straight to the correct clue box, they would have won it. But, I'm thrilled that Caesar and Ricky took home the win. I still get a laugh when I think back at how Juan stood looking focused, recited so rapidly (without error) that first part of the Preamble, and Shane just stood there looking at him in dismay. Really? Shane forgot his part completely. Juan was good at memorizing and puzzle solving which came in handy in the Finale. Yeah, I think they would have won it. Fate? Destiny? Whatever, but, they did well in the final episode. C & R consistently did well all race.

What makes you so sure Juan and Shane would have won? Ricky & Cesar have consistently done well on all challenges and do well with navigation.

Podcast Reviewers asked them and that’s what they said. They lost the race the minute Juan asked for the pizza place instead of the steakhouse. I doubt they would have said that publicly in Rod has a Podcast if it were untrue. They must know how far behind Caesar/Ricky they were at the Finale when they ran up to Phil.

Yeah and they owned up to it. They realized it cost them, felt their sadness for a few moments, compartmentalized and then decided they didn't want Phil to come looking for them. So they mentally accepted they would see it through as best they could.

Did you hear how long it took for Rob and Leticia to get the memorization done?

FYI: Danny and Angie interview with Golden Derby. www.youtube.com/watch?v=We8YfwoBwa0&list=TLPQMjIwNTIwMjSNzGErbBIZyA&index=4Danny and Angie waited for 45 to 50 minutes waiting for their TV Crew to show up. That crew had a local driver. All the teams had arrived and they were allowed to start about 25 - 30 minutes after Rob and Leticia had started and were able to make up time building the fishing nets and lost to Rob and Leticia by about 7 minutes. That is amazing.

That is amazing. Wow! They were robbed! I agree. They had such a huge lead, were running in second place and would have definitely finished the fish trap quickly, it is heart breaking that happened. This may not have been the strongest team physically but they had great navigation skills and read the clues and did the tasks correctly.
If their crew had not been lost Danny and Angie would have easily placed second in that leg of the race and the girlfriends would have been eliminated. The issue here who had to do the remaining roadblocks. Leg 9 would have been the long climb up the hill and memorize the rock petroglyphs. Danny would have done this easily. Would Angie? Then it would have been the collecting cocoa pods and the baseball skills. This team had good hearts and as long as they didn't stay too long in one area I do think they would have completed this leg. Leg 10 with the wind surfing may have been difficult. I honestly think this team would have done fine in the the final maybe not a first place but second.
I do hope this team has another chance maybe Danny having another partner. While I loved Angie and would have been great to see an older player in the top three she needed more cardio for some of the more strenuous legs.
