Eliza's one tough cookie! I'm so impressed that she was willing to put her career on the line in order to stand up for herself and other women. I'm also glad for her that she's walked away and is doing other things with her life now. She's completed a master's degree in holistic counseling and just had her second child and seems to be very happy.

This is what happens when you protect one child at the expense of others; they never learn and only become more monstrous. I feel sorry for every girl child in this family because it's no wonder that he went from abusing family members to abusing others. Don't you know, he's quite the catch in the fundie circles! /s
Some women take "standing by your man" to a whole new level (also looking at Nicki Minaj's rapist and murderous husband) and it's gross. Women need to learn to love themselves more.

Women need to learn to love themselves more.Absolutely. We need to respect ourselves too. I've known so many women who've put up with so much truly unconscionable actions. Instead of throwing the bum out they say "Ohhhhh, but I loooovvve him." How & why on earth would or could you love someone like that? They have no self respect or pride at all. We women need to get a grip & quit being doormats for men who don't know how to act like a decent human being.

I was so worried when the jurors said they were done for the night; I was afraid of a mistrial. All it takes is one good ole boy on the jury, and all would have been lost. What probably made their minds up was the fact that the jury actually had to see what he downloaded and one person described it as "the worse thing he's ever seen." Shame on this piece of garbage trying to blame it on the ex-cons working at the garage (as if finding gainful employment after incarceration isn't hard enough). Someone's husband (Jill, I think) has gone to the entire trial and mean mugged that creep so I'm glad at least one of the ladies has the support of their spouse. I hope the Duggar sisters are having a great day today and he gets all 20 years.

There's a possibility he may be sent to a Federal prison in Texas that has a rehabilitation program for sexual offenders.
I know someone who is at a Federal prison on the Texas/Arkansas border, serving time (30 years) for filming and sharing pictures and videos of undressed children. He was a pastor. Maybe he and Josh will be in the same facility and can start a Bible study for the other prisoners. /sarcasm

I just read that Jana Duggar was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. I didn't see any specifics about it though. Does anyone know anything more?

There's some weirdness about it. Supposedly she was inside her house sleeping and there were children outside playing in the street and when the cops knocked on her door about them she lied and said she wasn't sleeping and she didn't know whose children they were and the cops wrote her up? I'm not sure if the children were hers or not because the article I read seemed like a translation.

I’m glad he was convicted, but it’s pretty horrifying that the most he’ll get is 20 years. In prison, people who prey on children are considered the lowest of the low. I hope it’s hell on earth for him every moment he’s behind bars.

Jana has kids now? I didn't think she was even married. The story definitely seems odd and very unlike Jana to be asleep while kids that were under her care were playing outside. Seems like a mix up or something....or maybe stress induced from everything going on with Josh.

I hope it’s hell on earth for him every moment he’s behind bars. If I read correctly, he would face 20 years and $250,000 fines for each of the accounts which means he could serve up to 40 years in prison. I truly hope he gets the full extent of the sentences, because he really is a POS in my opinion.

I think his whole family is horrid. His parents knew that he sexually abused those girls YEARS ago and they chose to protect him. They valued him over their own daughters. I’d be perfectly happy if they all just went away for good. I know Jim Bob is running for state senate and while I don’t normally like personal attacks, whoever’s running against him needs to use the fact that he raised and then protected a child molester.

What gets me is the smug look on his face every time he walked into the courtroom with his remote controlled wife. That creep honestly thought he was going to get over and I can see why he thought that; Daddy has been getting him out of his actions since he was a teen so why should this be any different? Plus he lied and said that the workers in the workroom downloaded the porn before the cops told him why they were even there, the dumbass. They also found porn on the home computer, so I wonder how he spun that? Bury him under the jail.
The saddest thing of all is if they had gotten him professional help when he was a teen the outcome might have been different. Jim Bob has a lot to answer for.

Apparently, Jim Bob got trounced in the state senate primary, so justice is served again. I’d be perfectly happy to never hear the name Duggar again. Procreating excessively is not a reason for people to be famous.

Chris Noth - it’s funny that this allegation came up. I was watching a FB video of weird things you see on NY City subways. One of the clips showed Chris Noth looking God Awful, on the subway. He looked like he had been on a bender and slept on the sidewalk. He had bed head, baggy eyes, whiskers, and rumpled clothes.

I remembered when I read about the latest accusations some dirt on him back in the day but couldn't remember what until Diet Prada dug it up (with receipts). Chris Noth was pretty serious with supermodel Beverly Johnson in the 90s but unfortunately he used to beat her. She ended up getting a restraining order against him because he stalked her like an animal after she broke up with him due to abuse and even then it was a while before he left her alone. So yes, he's been raggedy for more than a minute and I completely believe these accusations because certain details in both accounts match up (that business with the mirror) even though they were years apart.

I'm just wondering what they are going to do with his character on The Equalizer once they start filming again. His character is central to the story line where he helps the lead in her problem solving. Too bad, because he fit there.

The ladies of "And Just Like That" (SJP, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon) released a joint statement today on Instagram:
"We are deeply saddened to hear about the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have some forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it."

We support the women who have some forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it." I think they would have been better off remaining silent. Other co-stars have gotten away with it. I think the problem with the statement is that the rumors have been around about Chris for YEARS. I'd heard it - so they had too. So while their sentiment is commendable in the moment, the truth is that they (SJP especially since she's an executive producer) overlooked the rumors the entire time he was on SATC while they boosted his image and pushed him as a sex symbol. They did NOT do the difficult thing, so I'm not sure they should be commended now.

Well, I prefer this rather than the "I've known this person for a long time; he would never and she's lying" Lena Durham school of statements. Yes, there were rumors about him, but I seriously doubt that any of the ladies knew solid facts about the situation, and he could easily use the "I was young, I've matured and moved on" okedoke to excuse the Beverly Johnson business. The argument about overlooking rumors could also be used for Queen Latifah in The Equalizer as well, but I'm not here for feeling like women should police the behavior of men when they should be policing themselves.

The argument about overlooking rumors could also be used for Queen Latifah in The Equalizer as well, but I'm not here for feeling like women should police the behavior of men when they should be policing themselves. The problems with Lena Dunham type statements is precisely why I said they would have been better to stay silent than to make the statement they made. In making a statement now, they are making it clear they stand with the women, which is where they should. But I think we should stand with women not just when the twitter-verse says it's the thing to do, but all the time because it's the right thing to do. That's not about women policing men when they should do it themselves anymore than making a statement is doing the same. Sarah Jessica Parker has spent a large part of the past 20 years raving about Chris Noth, not just working with him. She was a part of the machine that built him up giving him the power to do what he did. And the Beverly Johnson story was not the only story floating around about him. But then again - there were also stories circulating about problematic behavior on the Sex and the City set. Bottom line, I think they made a statement now because it was popular and safe. The best fighters for women's right take a stand when it's not convenient or safe.
