I read that Lincoln wasn't there and there was no message from TPTB about why. Was it necessary? There have to be people who hadn't heard or read about him. I saw an article with Chris Harrison about Lincoln. Without finding the exact quote word for word, nevertheless, this is the essence of what he said, and these are some of the exact words he used in pulling no punches as to how The Bachelor feels about Lincoln: After what he did and the info he hid from us, he doesn't deserve to be on the Men's Tell All.

Leo's narcissistic jab aimed at Jordan was one of the Bachelor's best lines ever. Jordan, of course, brings chaos on himself, and if the attention isn't there, he creates chaos by some outrageous stunt to get the attention back where he wants it. He calls it "confidence," but while it makes me sad to say it, I am afraid that at the base of this, as pretty as Jordan's face is, he has some deep-seated insecurities and emotional issues going on which are causing this. Confident people are exactly that - confident in themselves, and they don't need to draw un-necessary attention to themselves.

Wills is pretty dreamy. I think I have a crush! Colton's very cute, but he's just for lookin' at - - Wills is the total package! I think he'd be a fun Bachelor. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I kind of can't wait for Paradise to start! Wills! He has more pizzazz and style than most of the guys...such a soft, sexy voice...pretty eyes, and seems like he'd be loyal and respectful guy. What's not to love? I'm looking forward to BIP as well....Wills AND Grocery Joe...without shirts!

If disingenuine were a word, it wouldn't mean what he seems to think it means. Much like if someone were to say, "I don't know why it wouldn't be Russia," the double-negative of the two prefixes would mean that the person IS "genuine," no? 😉 Glad you posted this. I'm a bit of a Grammar Geek, although I'm a definite overuser of apostrophes. So often, misusing these expressions makes them mean the exact opposite of the intention. Totally off topic but funny story about word usage: Many years ago my Father was teaching my Brother to drive. They came to a particularly busy intersection with minimal to no stop signs. My Father said: "Watch the cars take this corner fast." My Brother floored it & flew around the corner. My Father nearly had a coronary & was hopping mad when they got home. After everyone calmed down, the story was explained...…… My Father meant & was saying "Watch! The cars take this corner fast." in other words, Be Careful. My Brother heard: "Watch the cars. Take this corner fast." in other words, Floor It! At this point everyone laughed & it became a family expression for confusion. I'm glad you like my linguistics humor, MissScarlet . Funny story. I think I would have understood it like your brother did.

I read a Google article this morning where someone was interviewing Chris Harrison as to the frontrunner for the next Bachelor. He gave the honest poll numbers which were something like 69% Colton; he totally skipped the analysis on Colton.......wonder what is up with that????? He went to the next one which was 68% Joe the Grocer. He acknowledged the craziness over Joe, but he discussed how we saw "Joe was a man of few words," and went on to say that (paraphrased carefully) we need a Bachelor who can express his emotions. The insinuation, of course, is that Joe can not do this; therefore, he is not considered a good candidate regardless of how popular he is. Jason came in at 67%, and he was clearly Chris Harrison's frontrunner at this time. His explanation was ( all other things taken into consideration), we tend to respond to the LAST person we see crying (emoting sorrowfully) in the limo. He then reminded us that we still as yet to see one last guy leave in the limo!
I think he is saying it is between Jason and the F2 (Blake or Garrett).

But, but what about Wills..he's lovely!.. He wasn't even mentioned, Fanny, and the way Chris Harrison ignored Colton at the top of the poll makes me thinks they (the producers) are not considering him, either. I personally don't think they want to consider Joe the Grocer, but the public clamor for him is too hard to be completely ignored. What they showed us does make sense. *For what it's worth...... a couple of years ago I read an article on Chris Harrison. One of the interesting and important, I think, things stated was that Chris Harrison is more than the Host and the spokesperson for The Bachelor. After all these years, he has worked himself into the position where he is now one of the top tier producers as well. This guy is in the thick of things. When he says he doesn't know (such and such), he may actually not know because they don't know yet, or you may can take it with a grain of salt. He is like many of them in Hollywood. He knows how to tell you as much as he wants you to know.

Looking at the usual way this show works, and looking at who's available, I agree that it's most likely Jason or the F2 guy. This disappoints me. I don't care for any of the final 3, & really don't care to see them as The Bachelor. I doubt I'd make it through the season, simply because of boredom.
That doesn't mean I won't watch it. While none of them appeal to me, I don't dislike them. I just don't find them the least bit interesting or fun, or even good looking. The show works best when you are somewhat invested in the lead & want to watch them whittle their way down to the winner. A likable fun lead is always best.
Colton, on the other hand, I would enjoy watching. Not a huge fan, but a small one. Joe The Grocer would be a fun choice partly because we haven't had a chance to see anything negative about him. Almost like the old days where we met The Bachelor on night 1. He's definitely handsome, and seems so darned nice. I'd rather see him than have TPTB choose someone just for drama. That never ends up well for me with either Bachelor or Bachelorette.

On thing to remember, y'all, in the past when the lead wasn't all that, the way they made up for it was with the other contestants.
I am thinking at this time of Bachelorette Meredith who was really rather bland in personality, and I was frankly a little astounded! She didn't really bother to even fix herself up at all for her dates - either individual or groups.
So what happened? That group of guys!! Oh my stars, those were some good-looking guys. That is what I remember - not the bickering in the house, but the guys.
They will usually bring in contestants who will entertain us - one way or the other. They will carry the show.

But, but what about Wills..he's lovely!.. Wills is a cutie but he is SO low energy. I'm not sure he could carry a whole show by himself. Plus, while his voice is sexy as all get out, he has a tendency to mumble, making it difficult for me to understand him. If Blake is F2, I'm not sure he would be all that great as the Bachelor either. He's got a lot of issues and is super intense. Garrett, if not F1, would not make a good Bachelor, either, imo, as he seems like a big goof ball and does not strike me as very bright.

I think East Coast has captured the problems with both Wills and Blake in ways I couldn't. I simply don't think Garret would be given the first thought considering all the controversy started with Lee in Rachel's season and continued this season with Lincoln and Garrett's "likes" on social media. It's not particularly his personality. That is not where the negativity is.
Somebody elsewhere was discussing this issue and made the point that they go way back when they don't think they have choices. It has been pointed out that Ben was well liked, and he and Chris Harrison are good friends. I am not much a fan of retreads on The Bachelor.
Therefore, I think last night was Jason's audition. From what I have read, people seem to think he handled it pretty well, including reaching out for a hug and a request for friendship.

IMO, Wills is too sweet and bland to carry a whole season. Great dresser, but too vanilla. He should have his own fashion blog, but he shouldn't be the Bach.
They'll never do it, but I'd love to see a total Bach newbie again. I miss those days. If there's a great option from the Bach "pool" then they should cast them, but if there isn't, they need to cast someone new.

In their defense on Lincoln, several sources have reported that they have 3 separate investigative agencies tracking these people, and somehow none of them found this info on Lincoln. It has been speculated that it may have been in such a place in the court precedings where the info was simply not made available to the public.....still in this day and time, you would have thought something crept out?
Now on Garrett, surprisingly the only reason all this stuff about his Instagram likes came out is because a former contestant ( way, way on back - Bachelor Jason, maybe?) named Ashley who does Podcasts for Reality Steve discovered it and broke it on his show or site. That is the origin of the reveal. In other words, this stuff just simply wasn't very well known at all...it simply didn't stir up enough reaction or concern on its own on the site to alert or alarm people on there to spread it out.

I don't have any sources, but just through reading around, I was able to pick this up. There was more going on between Colton and Jean the perfume guy than we saw. There is a controversy about this, but several people there have said that Colton called him the female part slang word, starting with a p. Now, I know men talk horrible to each other, but the audience was primarily women. OUCH! Jean B the perfume guy retorted back, "How would you know since you have never been in one?" This is beyond acceptable, and Chris Harrison let it go on....
To the point.....Colton was getting more and more upset. He was tweeting stuff out during the MTA filming.
The producers know ALL of this. I am wondering if they are thinking Colton can not handle his emotions enough to be the Bachelor, they have no idea what he will do, they can't control him enough, or something along that line?
That is the only reason I can think of to NOT consider him at all if he is at top of the poll.

I think what might concern the producers is how emotional Colton gets and then responds, like tweeting about it during the MTA. On general principle, I like Colton, but compare that to Jason's reactions to everything going on in the house as well as at the MTA. He simply stayed out of most of it although we saw him cover his face when he was laughing, etc. He is a cool, calm customer - maybe a little slow on the uptake when it came to Becca and what was happening, but cool and calm in his demeanor anyway.

Jordan apparently tweeted through MTA, I don't see that as a problem. Lots of different stories out there on twitter. I saw a lot of support for Colton, as the show went on and on about his virginity. The rose show won't want him for that very reason imho, Jason will be their choice..

I saw a lot of support for Colton, as the show went on and on about his virginity. The rose show won't want him for that very reason imho, Jason will be their choice.. They have got their reasons ~ that is for sure. Sometimes we get a straight, honest reason, sometimes we get the run-a-around, sometimes we get nothing, and sometimes we get their version, which may or may not be the actual truth of the matter. The sleuthers knew from family and friends that sometimes they would go after usually the fan favorite whether the F2 or F3 hook, line, and sinker - offering the person everything possible - but that person was simply done. Nothing they could offer was going to tempt the person to come back as the lead....Jason's rejected F1 Melissa and Ali's F2 Chris are good examples....and yet, when we heard the new lead introduced, what we heard was that "we had clamored for that person, they heard us, and they were proud to present as the new Bach/ette....." If Jason is selected - and I will be OK with him - they will tell us that he was the run away favorite for the next Bachelor whether he was or not ~ haha, and I have already told you that Chris Harrison came out and said Jason was 3rd on the Poll.

I hope it's Jason. I wouldn't be interested in a season of Colton or Garrett or Blake. Jason seems to have more emotional maturity, and I find him very attractive, although I hope they do something with his hair. Immediately after the MTA, in a poll, Chris Harrison said Jason came in 3rd right behind Colton and Joe the Grocer. He appeared to me in his explanations to be leaning toward Jason. He gave zero explanation about Colton, and said we could see for ourselves that Joe might have trouble as the lead expressing his emotions. Now, most of us like Jason. We have discussed the hair issue up one side and down the other. He CAN use less product. The jury is absolutely out on how many ways he can wear his hair although a fabulously gifted hairdresser might come up with something. Notice the extremely well defined widow's peak directly in the middle. That alone makes a lot of hairstyles difficult. Now add to it that his hair is receding on both sides of the widow's peak to that. He has such a nice-looking face, pleasant demeanor, good vocabulary, and speaking delivery. He handles himself well. He seems balanced, and that is refreshing. If he is well accepted by the fans - according to social media - I think we may be looking at the next Bachelor. Neither of the F2, I think, are good options - one is almost already on the verge of an emotional breakdown, and the other's image couldn't overcome the controversy to take the lead if either of them isn't the F1.

I'm sure the assault charges are why Lincoln wasn't there. As soon as one of them does something REALLY out of bounds, Fleiss and Co. washes their hands. That was FAR too much Jordan for me. I do think he's hilariously UNself-aware, but I don't want to watch him for that long. He's good for a few minutes of comic relief. Based on that preview of BiP, it seems like he might hair paired off with Krystal, which is sort of perfect: two totally vapid, self-involved idiots. I'm sure they think the other is brilliant. We REALLY did not need that much stuff about Colton's lack of experience. Please, give the guy a break and quit harping on it. As for those guys ripping on him, that doesn't make you a man: it makes you a bully. I thought CH sat back and just let them bicker WAY too much. Maybe that's what they think viewers want, but THIS viewer hits the mute button. What assault charges? All I heard about was that he didn't like pooping. Can't blame him there=I hate it too

It is wrapped up in court is the best we can get out of this... How did this get by the Bachelor? That is the $64 question. It has been said that they have 3 investigative agency looking into the backgrounds of these seriously considered candidates; however, the court system also has a way of shielding things they don't want out at what they consider crucial points as well...so who knows? Maybe this one just slipped through the cracks.

Tapper01, I want to add that the Bachelor is also very angry because he lied to them on his application. I don't know what the question is, but technically although he has been ACCUSED, he has not yet been convicted of the charges. However, he was not forthcoming with any information about the case - info which surely would have stopped his Bachelor process right then. He most likely knew that. Did you notice that though Becca was not made aware of it at the time, the EDIT made sure we were that Lincoln cheated during that first group date Bridegroom race to win.
