This looks like the best season of the three! I like the participants and the projects so far have been really interesting and a great way to get to know the makers!

Loved the first episode! I wish it were two hours. The crafters are amazing. Who would think to make art from bike tires? This is such a great show. I so needed this after the pandemic and stress.

I get it next day on HULU - YAY!!! Loved the first show - the crafts were amazing (glad the kilt wearing lighthouse maker didn't have to go home. Interesting with the two baseball families. The asides are priceless and the judges are much more into the swing of things - not so stodgy. YAY

Yes liked the first show but don’t like the hosts.
The light house guy was lucky no one went home.

Yes liked the first show but don’t like the hosts. The light house guy was lucky no one went home. Really? I love Nick and Amy! He's a woodworker, so I like that he has an understanding of just how much work goes into some of the projects. I love how sweet Amy is with the contestants. I do wish we'd see more of the makers' work in progress, but I don't think NBC would go for two-hour episodes.
I'm always amazed at the variety of techniques used in the challenges. I like that they leave it more open to interpretation, so the contestants can really show what they can do. The only one I didn't like of the family portraits was the table with the resin over it and that was because the resin didn't cover everything completely. Things were sticking out, which means it wouldn't last long-term. Plus, it just looked messy.
Funny that we have two contestants with pro baseball connections: a former player and the son of a player. Nick's reaction to learning who Adam's father is was so sweet.
Because I'm a maker/artist, a friend of mine said, "YOU should go on that show!" Um, nope. This show requires a much broader range of ability than I have, for sure!

I loved that reaction. I am hoping at some point this season they bring him on to meet Nick. I know he is a huge Cubs fan. I love both hosts as well, they are awesome. And this is just a great show!

I'm loving it as well. Is it on a break for a few weeks due to the Olympics?
